Good day all. It is considered to be a Truth among the left that conservatives and Trump supporters, especially those who happen to be of recent Northern European descent, are terrified that black Americans are buying guns.
In fact, it’s just the opposite. White gun owning conservatives welcome those Americans of a “Darker skin hue” then theirs to exercise their 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. It’s actually the Progressive Liberal Elite, especially the White Liberals who are terrified of Black Americans owning guns.
Well guess what Liberals, thanks to your antics, legal gun sales among Black Americans are going through the roof. Here are the details from Just The News:
Gun sales among black Americans skyrocketed by 56% in 2020, partly in response to a push to “defund police” leaving many Americans worried about protecting themselves, according to a gun expert with Gun Owners of America.
Gun-buying activity shattered U.S. records in 2020, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation recording both the highest number of background checks in its history and the highest increase of checks year-over-year in over two decades.
I can attest to that. I was actually in a gun store recently and while I didn’t see any Americans of recent African descent in the store, (I do see them at the gun club I belong to), I did see a number of women shopping for firearms. (One made a purchase. She was filling out the required forms. Another was handling one with her husband/boyfriend)
According to data from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), 21 million background checks related to the sale of a firearm were conducted in 2020 — a 60% increase over the previous year.
The NICS Background check is done when you make your purchase. It isn’t done on a “Per gun” basis. So it would be safe to assume that a number of those checks were for people who were buying more than one gun.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), a trade association monitoring gun sales and industry trends, estimates that 8.4 million, or 40%, of those gun sales were for first-time gun buyers.
I wonder how many of those people voted Democrat? Did they understand that the Democratic CommuNazis fully intend to confiscate their guns? What are they going to do if they are told “Turn in those expensive guns you bought!” I expect they will ask their more knowledgeable gun owning friends what to do, and they will discuss it while boating over deep water with the guns in question.
NSSF reported that women accounted for 40% of all sales, and purchases by African-Americans increased by 56% compared to 2019.
Gee, I wonder why? Could it be that a 5’5” 110 pound woman might want something that will allow her to deal with a 6’ 200 pound rapist? I’m sure she would have considered the loud police whistle or the can of Mace first.
Then she would have thought, “No one hears those whistles, I know! Mace!!” and then find out she isn’t allowed to have Mace in her state. (She might use it to prevent a criminal from harming her and thereby deny him his right to freely express himself) As the old saying goes, “God made people tall, short, fat thin, men, women (And these days, gender neutral potatoes), but Sam Colt made them all equal.”
Gun expert Antonia Okafor Cover, national spokesperson for Gun Owners of America “absolutely” thinks part of the spike among black gun owners is due to black Americans living in neighborhoods where demands to “defund the police” have left people feeling vulnerable and exposed to violence.
“They understand that their safety is truly in their own hands,” Okafor Cover told “Just the News AM” television program.
“If you’re going to defend the police, then it really is going to be up to you to be able to take care of yourself and those you care about,” she added.
The interesting thing about those demanding that we “Defund the police,” is that most of them are white, and pretty much all of them are in areas that have both police and private security. The man or woman who lives in an area that has some issues? They know that when seconds count, the police are minutes away, if they come at all. Nope, a person with proper training, (And I recommend training highly, but I don’t believe it should be mandated), is the best defense against criminals.
Okafor Cover, who is black, thinks the rise in gun ownership among black Americans helps explain part of the historic gains former President Trump made among black voters in 2020 — to levels not seen by a Republican candidate since 1960.
“People finally realize that we have to have someone who is protecting our rights in the White House and in the Congress, as well on the city and municipal level and at the state level as well,” Okafor Cover said. “And really, that’s the only reason why the government should be there in the first place, is to protect our individual freedoms.”
Well that lets out the Democrats. They don’t care about anyone’s rights or freedoms, especially those of recent African descent. They are finally relearning what their great grandparents knew. The Democrats are not their friends and never have been. Deep down, they have been angry that they lost their slaves in 1865, thanks to a REPUBLICAN president and have been trying to get them back ever since.
“It’s a matter of what we all believe, I don’t care what color we are,” Rep. Burgess Owens (R-Utah) said, pointing to troubled areas that were already high in crime that were then hit by calls to defund police. “Of course, people will say, ‘Well, I want to make sure that I’m protecting myself. If I can’t depend on someone else, can’t depend on the police department, or whoever it might be, I’m going to make sure I’m taking that into my own hands.”
And the liberal mantra to that statement is “How dare you take the law into your own hands!?!?! That is something we will not permit!” and if you listen to the gun confiscation clowns, that is exactly what they say. (See Michael Bloomberg)
Though violent crime, including homicides, is sharply rising in the United States, liberal activists continue to push to defund police departments, particularly in urban areas hardest hit by the spike in violence. For example, leaders in Minneapolis, Seattle and New York City have all recently cut funding from policing, even as a study released late last year by the Council on Criminal Justice reported homicides spiked in 21 U.S. cities in 2020.
A District of Columbia lawmaker is asking District leaders to declare a state of emergency amid a spree of deadly gun violence, including the fatal shooting of three teens so far this year in city’s poor neighborhoods.
All of these cities where they have seen skyrocketing levels of crime using weapons, (Not just guns either), are also the very same cities that flat out deny people their right under the 2nd Amendment to keep and bear arms and use them to defend themselves. I don’t have the statistics in front of me, but I believe that the overwhelming majority of these crimes of violence using firearms were committed by people who had forfeited their rights as convicted felons. Fat lot of good those background checks did.
Americans of all genetic backgrounds have been buying guns and ammo, and taking classes to learn how to use and maintain guns safely. They have made their decisions regarding the 2nd Amendment and have been voting with their wallets. It’s nice to see good, solid Americans of recent African descent going out and exercising their constitutional rights.
It’s also nice to see just how racist the Progressive Liberal morons actually are. I’ve seen any number of moonbats posting pictures of people with guns, usually smiling and with family and friends, all being held in a safe manner, (Fingers OFF the triggers and pointed in safe directions), saying that this must drive Republicans, Trump supporters and conservatives crazy. “Oh look! Blacks with guns!! They’re going to murder us and steal all the white women!”
Yeah, no. That’s how the Progressive Liberal Caucasian Moonbat thinks, not most Americans in flyover country. When we see those pictures we’ll think of things like “Nice!! I wonder what he’s using there? Man, I want to know where they’re getting their ammo from! Hmm, I wonder if they want to go to the range with me?”
The Progressive doesn’t trust anyone with guns because they don’t trust themselves. They will then project that on others, especially those they consider “Minorities.” It makes me wonder who the true racists are? I think any normal person will know the answer to that. (The Klan was made up of Democrats after all, not Republicans)
