Good day all. This story broke last month when Fox News commentator, Tucker Carlson stated that he had information that the National Security Agency had been spying on him.
Normally, you would be saying that this is right out of the paranoid delusions of the tin foil hat set and you would be correct. However, there is this pesky thing of past history where the NSA and the other intelligence services have been caught breaking into reporters systems and email. There is also the interesting thing that Mr. Carlson reported that the whistleblower who provided him with the information also provided him with data that could only have come from reading the email and texts of Carlson and his staffers. Here are the details from the New York Post:
Fox News host Tucker Carlson is accusing the Biden administration of surveilling his private communications in an effort to get his show yanked from the air. Carlson made the accusation on his show Monday night, saying he had been contacted by a whistleblower who had information that came from his texts and emails regarding a story his team was working on.
During the Trump Administration, the leftist media accused President Trump of spying on journalists. What was actually happening was criminal investigations into leaks to the media. As I recall, the Administration would “Salt” information to people they suspected of leaking, and if the information ended up in the New York Slimes, they went after the leakers. This led the “Journalists” to claim that the Trump administration was spying on them. This differed from the Obama maladministration where they actually were breaking into reporters and journalists computers and emails and either destroying data or copying it out.
“It’s not just political protests that the government is spying on,” Carlson said.
Yesterday, we heard from a whistleblower within the US government who reached out to warn us that the NSA, the National Security Agency, is monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air.”
Of course, Tucker Carlson and his team were skeptical of the report. It’s flat out illegal for the NSA to spy on American citizens inside the United States. They do, in the course of their legal work, scoop up American communications, but there is a protocol in place on how to handle it. Flat out targeting an American Citizen, inside the United States without a warrant, (And the NSA has no law enforcement authority at all), is really illegal.
Carlson admitted that it was “a shocking claim,” which he said he would normally be “skeptical” of because “it’s illegal for the NSA to spy on American citizens. It’s a crime. It’s not a Third World country. Things like that should not happen in America.”
But they do Mr. Carlson, and surprisingly, it usually happens when the Democratic CommuNazis are in control of the government.
“The whistleblower, who is in a position to know, repeated back to us information about a story that we are working on that could have only come directly from my texts and emails,” Carlson revealed.
“There’s no other possible source for that information. Period. They did it for political reasons. The Biden administration is spying on us. We have confirmed that.”
The Carlson team has filed a Freedom Of Information Act request with the NSA, but that will go nowhere fast. If the NSA actually admitted to what they did, it would mean a major scandal and criminal prosecutions.
“We don’t expect to hear much back. That’s the way that usually goes. Only Congress can force transparency on the intelligence agencies and they should do that immediately,” he said.
Yeah, good luck with that. While the Republicans can and are trying to find out what is going on, the Democrats are doing what they do so well. Stonewalling, lying and covering up.
Asked about Carlson’s claims while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Tuesday morning, White House press secretary Jen Psaki acknowledged that surveillance was something the NSA conducted as part of its work, but couldn’t speak to his case.
Why ask that liar anything? First, I doubt they would read her into what is a criminal conspiracy to violate the civil rights of an American Citizen. Second, if they did, she would be instructed to do what she does so well, lie through her teeth.
The question of whether or not the NSA broke the law and spied on Tucker Carlson and his team is going to require serious investigation. Sadly, with the current crop of criminals in control of the United States government, that isn’t going to happen. Hopefully, whatever the conspirators had planned has just been blown up, and they’re going to quickly bury any evidence in order to protect themselves.
I also expect them to start a mole hunt in order to find out who told Tucker Carlson about their plans to “Get him.” They might find the person, but the retaliation will blow up in their faces. The United States is rapidly descending into Turd World territory and it is almost always the Democrats who push things along. This won’t end well for anyone if it isn’t stopped.
