Mexico suing American gun manufacturers

Good day all. Currently, you can not sue a gun manufacture if someone misuses their product. The Communazis would like nothing better then to end this protection to crush gun manufactures, but have not been able to get the votes to do so.

However, the nation of Mexico has decided that it’s the fault of American gun manufacturers that they are having major crime issues. Here are the details from American Military News:

The Mexican government sued multiple gun manufacturers in the United States on Wednesday, accusing the companies of having relaxed practices that contribute to the illegal transportation of guns across the border, according to court documents, the Washington Post reported.

Included in the suit are Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc.; Barrett Firearms Manufacturing, Inc; Beretta U.S.A. Corp; Glock, Inc; and Colt’s Manufacturing Co. LLC.

I find it interesting that they aren’t suing non-American manufacturers such as Norinco, (China), Tula, (Russia), and a host of other countries. They also export their products to the United States, and I do believe that fully automatic AK’s are rather inexpensive and popular among the Catels. (Along with belt fed machineguns, RPG’s and a plethora of other types of milspec ordnance)

The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Boston, near several of the firearm manufacturers’ headquarters. The Mexican government wants an estimated $10 billion in financial compensation from the targeted companies and does not take aim at the United States government.

The Mexican government “brings this action to put an end to the massive damage that the Defendants cause by actively facilitating the unlawful trafficking of their guns to drug cartels and other criminals in Mexico,” the lawsuit stated.

Nice try Jose, but it doesn’t wash. The manufacturers do NOT export anything into Mexico without the proper import licenses FROM Mexico. As for smuggling guns over the border? First, it’s illegal in the United States, and I believe I just saw a news story regarding some idiots who were caught trying to do this. Of course, doing a search in Duck Duck Go turns up a number of such cases. Interestingly, not one of them was trying to buy from manufacturers.

The lawsuit alleges that the gun makers “are conscious of the fact that their products are trafficked and used in illicit activities against the civilian population and authorities of Mexico,” a document from the Foreign Ministry revealed.

Nonetheless, they continue to prioritize their economic benefit, and use marketing strategies to promote weapons that are ever more lethal, without mechanisms of security or traceability,” it added.

I would suggest you look into suing former President Barack Obama and former Attorney General Eric Holder. They actually did facilitate the straw purchases and smuggling of guns to the Cartels.

Mexican officials hope to force the companies to adopt greater control of sales and improved security features on the guns, in addition to financial compensation, which could be as high as $10 billion, officials said. Mexico also wants the manufacturers to conduct studies and public service campaigns to help stem the flow of arms trafficking.

Good luck with that. I would say that you have no chance to succeed. However, I think that the American People have a great legal case against the Government of Mexico. For what you might ask? How about not securing your side of the border and allowing millions of people to cross into the United States illegally. (This would include your southern border for those being allowed to pass through Mexico)

We can throw in not stopping the drug cartels, who are breaking Mexican law as well as American law with their smuggling of drugs into the United States? I’m thinking at least $5 trillion in damages. I would also ask why you aren’t going after the European and Asian manufacturers. I think we know the reason of course. Those government will go after you, unlike the morons in the United States.

I fully expect this to be dismissed, probably using the liability law that has been in place for decades. Not only that, the fact that the manufacturers only sell to FFL dealers and not to the general public puts a major hole in their case. Mexico needs to stop their whining, complaining and blaming everyone else for their own problems.
