Good day all. It’s been almost two months since the Fall of Kabul and the Biden Bug Out from Afghanistan. At the time, it was known that at least 100 American citizens had been abandoned by the maladministration.
The State Department at first denied that any American citizens had been abandoned, stating that any who remained were there by choice. This lie blew up fairly quickly as private citizens and groups working with members of Congress got a number of Citizens and green card holder out. Now the number of Americans the State Department is admitting to has increased rather significantly. Here are some of the details from the Daily Wire:
The State Department reportedly admitted to congressional staff Friday that there are 363 Americans still left in Afghanistan and 176 who are actively communicating with the Biden administration and want to be rescued — hundreds more Americans the State Department previously said remained on the ground behind enemy lines.
CNN’s Phil Mattingly tweeted Friday that the “State Dept. informed congressional staff Thursday that it is in touch with 363 American citizens in Afghanistan, 176 of whom want to leave.”
The ones who the State Department claims don’t want to leave are probably trying to get family members out.
The State Department insisted, as recently as a Monday briefing from spokesman Ned Price, that there were around 100 to 200 Americans still inside Afghanistan, not all of whom were actively seeking an evacuation.
This has been the mantra of the moonbats in the maladministration. They have consistently claimed that everyone who wanted to leave has and that was that. We now know that there are hundreds stuck there and that when they or their families in the Untied States called the State Department for help, they were hung up on.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken said, ahead of the United States military’s finalized withdrawal from Afghanistan, that there were “a small number of Americans, under 200 and likely closer to 100, who remain in Afghanistan and want to leave.”
In late September, CNN reported, a Biden administration said that the State Department was “working to facilitate the departure of approximately 100 American citizens and legal permanent residents ready to leave Afghanistan,” and that while the number of Americans was “fluid,” that the agency was “constantly touching base” with citizens they thought were still on the ground.
In the face of all the evidence that the Maladministration deliberately and knowingly abandoned hundreds or more American men, women and children to the Taliban, they still continue to lie through their teeth.
On Monday, (October 18th), Price clung to the 100-200 number, though he also suggested that the number of Americans looking to leave Afghanistan has grown since the pullout.
In terms of a number of American citizens, this is a figure that, as you know, is not static. It is not immutable precisely because as Americans in the country – some of whom may be identifying themselves to us for the first time – see that we are able to effect the safe departure of Americans and LPRs and others from Afghanistan, that their calculus has changed. They have determined that they do wish to depart the country. That range has been anywhere from below a 100 – right now it is somewhere in between 100 and 200 given that some Americans have – additional Americans have raised their hands, seeing our ability to effect their safe departure.
Even CNN, one of the premier Fake News services, is having trouble swallowing that whopper.
CNN, though, noted that “Thursday’s numbers — combined with evacuation figures since August 31 — present a far higher count of Americans looking to leave Afghanistan than the administration publicly estimated at the time of the US withdrawal.”
Mattingly added Friday, (October 22nd), that the State Department has evacuated around 200 people from the country, but that number does not count Americans and legal permanent residents (LPRs) evacuated by other means — or those who left the country of their own volition from somewhere other than Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) in Kabul.
As far as the State Department is concerned, those people do not exist, have never existed and since they don’t exist, will not be counted. The fact is, the State Department has done everything it can to obstruct both Congress and the private groups that have been going in to Afghanistan and rescuing people who were abandoned on the orders of President Bumbles Dementia. They have also been flat out lying to Congress as well as the American people and continue to do so.
“These are the numbers of people whose individual departures we directly facilitated. An additional number of U.S. citizens and LPRs have departed on private charters or have independently crossed via a land border,” according to a State Department spokesperson who commented to CNN. “The number of US citizens and LPRs we assist is dynamic as we review manifests, receive reports from colleagues in the field, and assist with departures.”
This is the same bunch of woke, progressive idiots that handed the Taliban a list of Americans, Green card holders and those who had visas claiming it was to “Help” these people escape. All they did was force these people into hiding. There are reports that several Americans have died trying to escape. According to a report from Breitbart:
The U.S. State Department told Breitbart News Tuesday it is unaware of the Americans Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) said died while trying to flee Afghanistan, including a three-year-old girl, a two-year-old boy, and the boy’s mother.
During an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday over the weekend, Mullin attributed the deaths to President Joe Biden’s U.S. withdrawal, described as “fatally flawed” even by members of his party.
Mullin, who has helped his team on the ground in Afghanistan evacuate U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (LPRs), stressed that the State Department is aware of the identities of the deceased but refuses to report them to the public.
Nevertheless, a State Department spokesperson told Breitbart News via email, “While we are not aware of a case fitting [Rep. Mullin’s] description described in the article, our hearts are with all families who have suffered or lost a loved one due to events in Afghanistan.”
Of course, this story was promptly memory holed by the Communazi Propaganda Corps since it made the Partygovernment look bad. The facts are, the Maladministration is now considered the most incompetent administration in the history of the United States, and that the Senile Meat Puppet who is fronting for the “Deep State” has managed to pretty much wreck the United States in less than a year. Of course no one believes a word anyone says in the State Department, or anywhere else in Washington. The 2022 midterms are looking like a major disaster for the Democrat Party.
If it is, the Republicans will make the phony investigations against the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, pale in comparison with one big difference. The GOP will have actual evidence of wrong doing to look into. We shall see of course. We’ve been disappointed by them before.
