Good day all. No sooner had I finished a post about people demanding that an outside team be brought in to investigate Chris “Fredo” Cuomo, then it came out that he was out. Terminated. No longer employed by CNN, He was FIRED!
Fredo, who is even dumber than his dumbass brother, the no longer governor of New York, Andrew “Flaming” Coumo, was suspended last week after information was released by the New York Attorney General who has been investigating Flaming Cuomo’s antics in office. It seems the information was even worse then initially reported. Here are the joyful details of yet another Cuomo going down in flames from Fox News:
CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was fired from the network “effective immediately” following the internal review of “a respected law firm,” the company announced Saturday.
“Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense,” CNN said in a statement. “We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately.
While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light. Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate,” the statement added.
Now I’m curious. Just what did Fredo do beyond the other ethical failings he committed? As to the investigation, I don’t foresee it actually going much further. Oh they will put on a show of course, but in the end, it’s all about protecting the management, even if did let Fredo run amok for far longer than they should have.
Cuomo responded to his termination, saying in a statement, “This is not how I want my time at CNN to end but I have already told you why and how I helped my brother.
“So let me now say as disappointing as this is, I could not be more proud of the team at Cuomo Prime Time and the work we did as CNN’s #1 show in the most competitive time slot. I owe them all and will miss that group of special people who did really important work.”
And that team is now saying “Chris who? We don’t know any Chris Cuomo and anyone who says otherwise is a damn liar!”
Cuomo’s firing came after CNN suspended him last week, pending evaluation of his conduct following revelations from the New York attorney general’s investigation into his brother, ousted Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
That Attorney General really had it in for the Cuomo’s. She had to know that Fredo’s idiocy would come back to bite him. I’m sure she could have released the information in such a way that it was both public and completely buried.
Transcripts from his interview with state investigators revealed CNN star admitting he would reach out to media sources to find out about new accusers who had yet to come forward publicly.
“When asked, I would reach out to sources, other journalists, to see if they had heard of anybody else coming out,” Cuomo told investigators.
And this moron never thought that doing this was even the slightest bit ethical? Oh who am I kidding? Progressives and Cuomo’s have only a fleeting connection to ethics of any sort.
“The New York Attorney General’s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense,” CNN said in a Tuesday statement announcing Cuomo’s suspension.
“The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions. When Chris admitted to us he had offered advice to his brother’s staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly. But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second,” the statement added.
Then he should have taken a leave of absence while he was trying to dig up any dirt he could on his brother’s victims.
“However, these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother’s efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation,” CNN added.
And the evaluation has been completed. Many Facebook Fact checkers were consulted. The Snopes archives were examined. In the end, no matter how hard they tried, they had no choice but to can Fredo’s ass. To be honest, I don’t think it was that hard of a decision to make. The only reason he had that job was due to his brother being governor and a potential president. (No, don’t laugh. They were actually looking at that flaming idiot) Now that Flaming Cuomo is out, there was no real reason to keep his untalented brother on on the payroll. Bye bye Fredo! Don’t let the doorknob get stuck in your ass on the way out.
