Biden trying to not ban Russian oil imports

Good day all. As the Russians continue trying to conquer the Ukraine, many countries and private companies have initiated financial sanctions against Russia. However, The United States is somewhat lacking and this is directly due to Joseph Bumbles Dementia Biden. Thanks to that senile idiot’s policies, the United States has gone from energy independence to importing oil in less then a year.

One of the countries selling oil to us is Russia, to the tune of about 500K barrels a day. This could have easily been covered had the KeystoneXL Pipeline been completed, but nooo, Dementia Joe killed that on day one of his maladministration.

Thanks to President Dementia’s suppression of the Energy sector for political reasons, gas prices have skyrocketed, especially since the Russians invaded the Ukraine. Even though it will hurt, many in congress, on both sides of the aisle, are saying that we need to stop importing Russian oil. You would think this would be a no brainer for the president with mush for brains, but it seems that he is actually pressuring members of congress to NOT cut off the oil. Here are the details from Axios:

Biden administration officials pressured some Democratic senators not to support bipartisan legislation by Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) that would ban oil and gas imports from Russia, Senate Democratic aides told Axios.

The quiet lobbying campaign reveals a White House intent on preserving President Biden’s authority to decide what costs to impose on Russia for invading Ukraine — and on what timetable.

This is what is driving many people up the wall. This is a simple thing. Russia is the aggressor. The Ukraine was doing absolutely nothing. This is Vladimir Putin trying to reassemble the Soviet Union/Russian Empire and willing to do whatever it takes to achieve this goal before he croaks. President Dementia should have already tightened the screws. People are wondering what is going on with him.

The White House on Friday signaled it is open to reducing the import of Russian oil — without saying exactly how.

The answer is, they don’t have any plans to do so. Russian crude oil accounted for abut 3% of our oil imports last year. (Thanks a lot Mush for Brains Biden)

It’s mostly imported in Hawaii and the coasts, where refiners don’t have access to the pipelines connecting the big domestic oil fields in places like the southwest’s Permian Basin.

So build pipelines so we can transport oil to the west coast and ship it out. You know, like we used to do back in World War Two? Oh wait, I forgot. Kalifornistan. Those Marxist psychos hate oil. They only want solar, wind and unicorn farts. So what if Hawaii can’t get what they need unless the pay Putin? They should just go green and all will be rainbows and happy happy joy joy forever!

In any case, the efforts by the maladministration are backfiring. Even that old moonbat, San Fran Nan Pelosi is on board with shutting down Russian oil imports.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters on Thursday about a ban, “I’m all for that — ban it.”

As they say, it’s easy for her to say shut down imports. The issue is replacing the oil. The way to do it is to return to the Trump policies, which had the effect of reversing America’s dependence on foreign oil. I think it’s safe to say that is not in the cards.

Senate aides told Axios that the White House’s response to the Manchin-Murkowski effort looks similar to its requests last week for lawmakers to tamp down demands to expel Russia from the SWIFT financial system — a decision the Biden administration ultimately took.

The quickest way to force Putin to back down, or perhaps his successor if Lindsey Graham gets his wish, (Which may happen), is to make it impossible for Putin to pay for his invasion. It’s costing the Russian’s billions a day, and it’s becoming clear that Putin never expected the Ukrainians to hold out as long as they have.

There is also the Russian losses, both men and equipment. No one has exact numbers, but it looks like the Russian casualties are upwards of 5000+ killed and who knows how many wounded. Their equipment losses are even worse. It isn’t just planes and helicopters shot down or tanks and other vehicles being destroyed, (And there appears to be a lot of combat losses), it appears that the Russian equipment is outright falling apart due to maintenance issues.

The longer the Ukrainians can hold out, the deeper into debt Russia is going. They can’t buy some of the parts they need as it is due to their access to electronic banking systems being blocked. The oligarchs aren’t to happy with Putin and his desire for empire and world domination. (Having $600 million dollar yacht the size of a cruiser being seized isn’t going to make one of them very happy)

The problem of course is Joe Biden. As usual, he is on the wrong side of the issues. The question that should be asked, and I expect it will be in 2023, is why? We know that Biden is corrupt. Has he been taking money from Putin to not help the Ukrainians? How many of Hoovernose Biden’s paint by numbers pictures did Putin buy and did the “Big Guy” get his usual 10% cut? Personally, I think this has gone beyond the usual “Never underestimate the ability of Joe to F**k things up. We will find out eventually.

I really hate it when world events move faster then my keyboard. Bumbles Dementia has seen the writing on the wall, (Poll numbers), and has announced a ban on the importation of Russian oil. Of course, the senile fool is not going to do anything to increase domestic oil production. he’s actually looking to decrease it further.
