The stupidity runs deep in the Biden maladministration

Good day all. As you are probably aware, private industry and governments around the world have put economic sanctions into place against Russia. This was in response to Putin’s invasion of the Ukraine. The idea of the sanctions is to force Russia to pull out of the Ukraine.

The problem now is that someone forgot to tell the incompetent idiot we have for a secretary of state, one Antony Blinken. He announced that the in order to have the sanctions lifted, Russia would have to promise not to invade anyone else. Here are the details from the Post Millennial:

In a Wednesday, (March 16th), interview, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that were Russia to stop its Ukraine invasion that may still not be enough to see an easing of sanctions placed on the country by the west. Blinken said that an assurance of no future invasions would also be necessary.

How about as a first step we get the Russian Army the Hell out of the Ukraine? After that, we can look at promises that mean absolutely nothing down the road.

Speaking with NPR, Blinken spoke on effects that western sanctions have had in Russia, including the drop in value of the Russian ruble, global firms closing their operations within the country, and the closing of the Moscow stock market.

I’ve mentioned this before. Pretty much all the businesses that Russia was working with have pulled out, some of them taking billions in losses. The sanctions are also having an effect no one really expected. Russia is also unable to manufacture new equipment to replace their losses.

Blinken said that the financial sanctions are beginning to wreak long-term effects that are “growing over time.” Despite this, he said that these sanctions are “not designed to be permanent.”

You might have a hard time convincing businesses to move back into Russia while Putin is still in place. I understand that a number of plane leasing companies that had jets in Russia just lost all of them. Putin ordered them seized and nationalized. (Not unsurprising of course, but those companies just lost billions)

Blinken said that these sanctions could “go away” if Russia pulls back from Ukraine, and that the withdrawal would have to be, “in effect, irreversible,” so that “this can’t happen again, that Russia won’t pick up and do exactly what it’s doing in a year or two years or three years.”

Well, one thing that is happening is the Russians have failed in achieving any of their major objectives. They appear to have taken massive casualties, both in equipment and in manpower. I have a sneaking suspicion that if Putin were to be “Retired” and new leadership put into place that had nothing to do with the invasion, they would have the ability to withdraw with some sense of “Honor.” (We have removed the criminals who did this Comrades)

As to promising to never invade again? It will be worth exactly nothing of course. It will take years for the Russians to rebuild from Putin’s Folly, and even longer to overhaul their logistics, strategy, training and tactics. That may take a generation at least. After that? Sorry, my crystal ball isn’t working right now.

Blinken warned that a more likely scenario is continued war and devastation in Ukrainian cities.

“We’ve seen the brutality that Vladimir Putin has brought to this. We know his track record in Chechnya. We know the track record of what he’s aided and abetted in Syria. I think we have to expect the same, and part of the reason we have to expect the same is that this is not gone according to Putin’s plan,” Blinken said.

There are some major differences between Syria, Chechnya and the Ukraine. One is the level of training the Ukrainians have undergone since the last time a Democrat was in office and sold them out. (That would be Obama) The Ukrainian military learned their lessons, (Unlike the Russians), and have been hitting the Russian logistics line hard. It’s hard to conduct a war without fuel, parts and ammunition. Even shelling cities is showing some unexpected weaknesses in Russian weapons. They don’t seem to be exploding when their supposed to.

Blinken said that Putin expected the Ukrainians to either “welcome them or at least fold their tents and move out,” but the Ukrainians instead have been fighting back.

It wasn’t just the Russians who expected this to be the case. The Eurotrash leaders and the Dementia Joe maladministration also expected the same thing. It looks like everyone was a bit upset that the Ukrainians used their vote and decided that they weren’t going to roll over and just surrender.

Currently, the Russians seem to be changing from an offensive position and more into a defensive one. The Ukrainians have stopped them from moving into Kyiv and there are reports that they might be about to surround and cut off a large Russian formation. They’ve also, as I mentioned earlier, been ripping the Russian logistics systems to shreds. Since Russia expected an easy and quick victory, they didn’t prepare a good resupply plan, and their logistics have never been very good in the first place.

Now, will the sanctions force the Russians to pull out of the Ukraine? They will help since it’s looking like the Russians weapons plants don’t have the parts they need to replace what they’ve expended. They’re also not able to sell their oil to most countries, (India is not supporting the sanctions for some reason, and I suspect that down the road, that is going to bite them in the ass politically), and they are running out of money.

The main issue is Putin, his cronies and the Oligarchs. The Russian ultra-rich are being hurt by the sanctions and they might decide that Putin and his people need to go. A number of them, along with a lot of regular Russian people, have basically fled the country, and the odds are, they won’t be coming back. Putin’s Folly could end up completing collapsing the Federated States of Russia just as the USSR collapsed, no thanks to Dementia Joe Biden and his maladministration of morons and moonbats. We shall see what happens next.
