Good day all. Elon Musk is turning into a Conservative right before your eyes. For those who don’t know, a Conservative is a liberal who was mugged. In this case, it’s more of Musk watching the Democrats driving his Teslas with the wheel jammed to the left and leaving him right where he has always been.
Just to set the record straight, I consider the Tesla a piece of junk and a dead end technology. SpaceX has some potential and Musk has no problem with a few of his rockets blowing up as he gets the bugs worked out. I also may not agree with everything he says either. Still, he seems to have become the stereotypical naturalized American, and fully intends to Make America Great Again, in spite of some of his employees.
Which brings us to the title of this post. Elon Musk has been driving the Woke idiots on the left absolutely insane lately, especially since he began his takeover bid of the left’s “Safe Space,” Twitter. Musk finally got fed up with Twitter censoring any speech that didn’t meet it’s leftist, totalitarian criteria. When it was announced, the left exploded in outrage.
Musk appears to be enjoying “tweaking” the left and has been sending out tweets and making statements pushing the one thing the left hates the most, free speech. This finally drove a number of Musk’s employees to write an open letter criticizing Elon Musk and demanding that he be stopped. These woke idiots forgot who signs their paychecks. Here are the details from the Daily Wire:
SpaceX employees circulated an open letter criticizing CEO Elon Musk for his “behavior in the public sphere.”
“Elon’s behavior in the public sphere is a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment for us, particularly in recent weeks,” the letter, first obtained by The Verge, asserted. “As our CEO and most prominent spokesperson, Elon is seen as the face of SpaceX — every tweet that Elon sends is a de facto public statement by the company.”
Yes, Musk’s is, in a way, a spokesman for his companies. He did found them and he does own them. (so to speak. They are publicly traded) However, most of the employees and a large number of Americans don’t find his remarks embarrassing. In most cases, they agree with them.
The employees also said that “it is critical to make clear to our teams and to our potential talent pool that his messaging does not reflect our work, our mission, or our values,” exhorting SpaceX to “swiftly and explicitly separate itself from Elon’s personal brand.”
It seems that someone has forgotten how things operate in a corporation. You have the management and you have the workers. Their combined goal is to make piles of money and keep their customers happy. It is not to be a “Safe Space” where you can cuddle your stuffed unicorn and talk about your feelings to like minded moonbats. You are their to work, produce and make the company successful.
If you have issues with how things are going internally, there are mechanisms that most companies have in place to deal with them. What you don’t do is take them public, especially when you are working for a publicly traded corporation. They only time you would do something like that is if there are real safety issues that might get people hurt or killed that the company is ignoring. Whining like little crybabies because your “Feewings are hurt” to the media, no matter how sympathetic they are to you, isn’t the way to go, as these morons found out.
Those responsible for the Wednesday letter were fired by Thursday afternoon, the Times reported on the basis of three employees’ confirmation and an email obtained from SpaceX President and COO Gwynne Shotwell.
“The letter, solicitations and general process made employees feel uncomfortable, intimidated and bullied, and/or angry because the letter pressured them to sign onto something that did not reflect their views,” Shotwell wrote. “We have too much critical work to accomplish and no need for this kind of overreaching activism.”
These losers are now finding out what the phrase “Get Woke, Go Broke” means on a personal level. Businesses are starting to move back from the “Woke” policies, especially since Disney just had their heads handed to them by Governor DeSantis and the State of Florida over their interference in state matters that did not directly affect them.
The CEO of a Crypto firm, Kraken, is another who has had it with Woke Idiots. He recently offered a severance package to anyone who felt “Triggered.” Here are a few details on this from the New York Post:
A tech company CEO said Friday on “Fox & Friends” he decided to offer “triggered” employees an opportunity to leave the crypto trading company with four months of pay.
Kraken CEO Jesse Powell told host Ainsley Earhardt he wanted to restore his company’s culture and avoid distractions, adding some employees felt it was better if they “just moved on.”
“There was a huge amount of support for this move, huge amount of support for the company’s culture and mission and the reinforcement of those. And, I think everyone’s just ready to get back to work and stop being distracted,” said Powell, adding a small number of employees were “creating distractions for the whole company.
Apparently, 30 employees took the package and have left the company, leaving the remaining 3000 people to continue making the company successful in peace.
Powell went on to clarify that his company had not been polluted with “anti-woke” culture for an entire decade, and it was not until the crypto boom that staff was hired who did not align with their original mission. He said about 30 employees took the offer of four months severance out of more than 3,000 staff members.
Most people working in corporate America just want to do their jobs. They don’t shove their views down their coworkers throats and don’t care to have other views shoved down their throats. Companies that have gone hard Woke are not seeing a backlash that is starting to hit their bottom line. Employees who are being fired for not being “Woke” are starting to file lawsuits, and “Wrongful Termination” is only one of the charges. They’re also citing defamation of character and libel/slander. Currently these are hitting the Universities and colleges, but they’re now moving into the corporate world.
Businesses can no longer bow to the whims of a few screaming leftists in their ranks. The CEO’s are now finding out that most Americans aren’t raving left wing lunatics and are taking their business, and money and going elsewhere. Netflix discovered this, perhaps to late, (Although they do seem to be working hard to correct the issues), and Disney is getting hammered.
Elon Musk knows that most people are like him. They just want to be left alone to do their jobs and do the best they can to get ahead. I think the days of kowtowing to a tiny minority in a company are starting to come to an end. I hope the morons that were terminated from their probably high paying jobs, enjoy their new careers in the food services industry.
