Good day all. Howard Stern is the prototype for what has come to be known as the “Shock Jock” on radio. He likes to say and do absolutely outrageous things, all intended to get a rise out of people. One of his problems is that people are getting tired of his “Schtick” and are tuning him out. So now he’s decided he wants to ramp up his outrage.
In this case, Stern has decided that he might run for the highest office in the country, the Presidency of the United States. Ok, now if you have finally stopped laughing, here are the details from Fox News:
In the wake of the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, shock jock Howard Stern said it may be time for him to run for president and revealed several things on his political checklist.
“I’m actually going to probably have to run for president now,” the SiriusXM host said Monday on the “Howard Stern Show.”
Should he run for office, Stern said he would put an end to the Electoral College, a longtime subject of angst for liberals. However, as president he could not unilaterally do this.
“I am going to do the very simple thing that’ll set the country straight: one vote, one person,” Stern said.
Assuming that this loser is able to sleaze his way into office, ending the Electoral College would require a constitutional amendment. He can’t just “whip it out,” (His pen you perverts. What did you think I meant?) and issue an executive order.
Stern’s radical aim to disband the U.S. electoral system was spurred by his claim that Donald Trump lost the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton.
“A guy who lost the vote won the election,” Stern said. “How long can we keep electing people who lost the election?”
I see that Stern failed Civics in school. The United States is not a democracy, it is a Republic. If you want to see what happens with direct democracy on a large scale, look at the disaster that is Kalifornistan.
At one point in the show, Stern claimed that the issue facing most presidents is that their agenda is too big. But Stern’s agenda is much smaller in scope, although vague.
“The only agenda I would have is to make the country fair again,” he announced, before segueing into criticism of the conservative Supreme Court justices.
Oh this should be interesting. I wonder what he considers to be “Fair?”
Stern first singled out Clarence Thomas, who he described as a “dormant Darth Vader” waiting around for “other kooks” to join the Court. He also said that overturning Roe v. Wade was “horrible,” citing women who find out their child has birth defects, women who are raped and the questionable quality of some forms of contraception.
As usual, this moron hasn’t actually read the decision or understands that all it does is return things to the states to be handled there. I’ve read that the Governor of Alaska, who is pro-life, is looking to hold some sort of referendum and let the citizens of the state decide how to proceed on the issue. But then, Stern isn’t the brightest bulb in the lamp. As to the court…
“The other thing is, if I do run for president, and I’m not f—–g around, I’m really thinking about it — because the only other thing I’m going to do is appoint five more Supreme Court justices,” Stern said.
I don’t think so Tim. Again, this requires action by Congress. Then there is the issue of just what sort of justices the Liberals want on the court. Ones who read the constitution and study it’s meaning, and just what the founders intended aren’t what they, or Stern want. They want people who will ignore the Constitution and issue rulings that, for all intents and purposes, tear it up. That is a great way to break the country apart.
Should he run for president, it would not be the first time Stern has thrown his hat in the political ring. In 1994, the radio and television personality ran as a libertarian in New York’s gubernatorial race. However, Stern would later drop out after the state Supreme Court signaled to Stern that he would have to disclose his personal finances in order to run for office.
I have a vague memory of his running. However, I didn’t remember his running as a libertarian. The Libertarian Party is a joke, even more so these days, however the real libertarians also tend to be constructionists with regards to the Constitution, and want things devolved back down to the states and the individual. (They are also big on open borders, not having a military and drugs. Lots of drugs)
Frankly, Stern isn’t going to run, other then to get attention pointed at him. He has no chance of winning anything, and if he does, his background will be gone through with a fine toothed comb. Stern is just another Limousine Liberal, or Manhattan Marxist. He will find that his poll numbers will be even worse then Kamala Harris. Hmm, perhaps he should invite her on his show and let her try out one of his sex toys he has his porn star guests demonstrate.
