Good day all, A couple of months ago, after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars and testing phrases with liberal focus groups, the Maladministration thought it would be perfect to use the phrase “Ultra MAGA” to insult the Trump Supporters and those who like his policies.
The plan failed spectacularly. Not only were the Republican base not insulted, they quickly stole the phrase and made it their own. It became a badge of honor to be referred to as a MAGA hat wearing Ultra MAGA Deplorable Trump supporter.
Of course, this has upset the Democrats and the Dementia Joe Biden Maladministration no end. They are still insisting on using it. Here are the details from Fox News:
The White House on Monday warned of “ultra-MAGA” policies like a nationwide abortion ban, should Republicans take back the majority of the House and Senate during November’s midterm elections.
“Already Vice President Pence and GOP Leader McCarthy have announced their support for a nationwide ban on abortion, passed by Congress,” White House Gender Policy Council Director Jen Klein said Monday.
“No woman in any state – no matter how pro-choice that state is – would have the right to choose,” Klein continued, adding that “abortion would be illegal everywhere.”
This is the first I’ve heard of this. As I understand the ruling, and I flat out admit, happily, that I’m not a lawyer, this was returned to the states, not the federal government. I haven’t heard anyone talking about a national law.
“The ultra-MAGA agenda on choice has never been about ‘states’ rights,’” Klein said. “This has always been about taking away women’s rights, in every single state.”
Now I’m getting confused. Are we talking about a federal law or state laws?
Klein was referring to comments by Mike Pence and Kevin McCarthy on Friday following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
The former vice president, in praising the high court’s ruling, said: “We must not rest and must not relent until the sanctity of life is restored to the center of American law in every state in the land.”
Still sounds like leaving it to the states to me.
McCarthy, R-Calif., during a press conference, suggested Republicans’ work “is far from done,” and when asked by CNN whether he would back a 15-week nationwide abortion ban, he said: “I’d support that.”
Ok, that is not a total ban on abortion. 15 weeks is about 4 months, and that is about when a pregnant woman starts showing. If they haven’t made up their minds by then, they have other problems. I don’t have access to any statistics on this, however I’m going to assume that most abortions happen long before 15 weeks.
Klein, seemingly referring to how the midterms could affect the abortion issue, said:
“So let’s be clear, this goes one of two ways: We either have a House and a Senate that puts Roe into federal law, or a House and Senate that push ultra-MAGA policies that strip women of their rights in all 50 states,” Klein said.
“Congress will either protect women everywhere, or strip away their rights everywhere.”
I’m not going to get into the debate here. I’ve made my stand plain. Make abortion obsolete. Women do have them because they don’t need or want them. However, when it comes to protecting “Rights,” the Democrats have demonstrated that the only rights they care about are theirs. They certainly don’t care about the individual rights of the average person. In fact, they tend to want to suppress or revoke them. However, this discussion is about the White House continuing to use Ultra MAGA as an insult.
When this first appeared a few months ago, the Republicans looked at it and couldn’t believe that the White House and the Democrat Party would be so stupid as to think that “Ultra MAGA would be seen as an insult. It showed a remarkable lack of understanding what “MAGA” meant. It’s an acronym for “Make America Great Again.”
The phrase was developed by Anita Dunn and by the Center for American Progress Action Fund. The spent hundreds of thousands of dollars researching what the maladministration, President* Bumbles Dementia and the Democrats in Congress could use against the Republicans. Their goal was to come up with a “Meme” that would be like an ice pick to the brain stem of Republicans.
As usual, it failed. When they started using it, it didn’t have the feel of something that was spontaneous the way that Conservative and Republican memes do. There are reasons for this. First and foremost, Progressive can’t meme. They literally are not able to just take something and run with it. For conservative memers, (Is that actually a word?), they take something that some idiot Democrat said, or an image that lends itself to ridicule and have something up in minutes to hours, depending on the complexity.
One of the most successful memes is the pictures of Dementia Joe Biden pointing at something and the phrase “I did that!” This has been turned into stickers that people have been putting on gas pumps when they have to drop hundreds of dollars to fill their tanks. That simple phrase, along with Biden pointing off to the side with one of his patented stupid grins was dreamed up in hours. The biggest delay was getting the stickers and magnets made up. Now you’re seeing variations of this everywhere, such as this one.
I put this together in a couple of hours. It’s very basic and I got the idea from She Who Must Be Obeyed when she got a spam call asking for money for a charity. (English is not her first language) Once we concluded the call, (Nastily of course), I explained that it was a group asking for charity money. SWMBO replied with “I don’t have money. Money too expensive!” and with that, the germ of an idea for a new meme was born. Now I’m just trying to figure out how to make money from it.
I didn’t spend 6 figures checking with groups of people to see what they thought. I just did a quick search for a suitable picture of the Idiot in the Oval Office and used a paint program. Now we’ll see if this takes off. This is one, actually the primary reason that Conservatives are the better Memers. We also have a sense of humor, something else seriously lacking on the progressive left, and we are quite capable of making jokes at our own expense. Have you ever seen a Progressive Liberal Democrat ever do that?
I hope that the President* Joe Bumbles Dementia Biden maladministration and the Progressive Liberal Democratic Communazis, along with their propaganda corps, (The New York Slimes, Washington Compost, MSNDNC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc), continue using Ultra MAGA. The MAGA King is quite happy for the free publicity as he prepares for his decision on running in 2024 or backing someone like Rick DeSantis.
