Good day all. It’s no secret that Los Angeles is a third world disaster. Crime is out of control and getting worse, mostly due to the corrupt, incompetent Soros District Attorney Gascon. The current mayor, Eric Garcetti is leaving office to become Ambassador to India. No one is going to miss him since he went full fascist during the Panicdemic.
This means that the office of Mayor is now open, and both parties have a number of candidates running. Recently, one of the candidates recently announced that she now feels “Unsafe” in L.A. after saying that the city was perfectly safe. Of course, she was recently robbed, and that does tend to change your perspective. Here are the details from Fox News:
Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass expressed misgivings about safety in Los Angeles after her home was burglarized last week – retreating from a glowing remark she previously made about feeling safe in L.A.
Really? She actually felt safe in a city that is one of the nations murder capitols and where criminals have rights but their victims don’t, especially if they try to defend themselves?
“I do feel safe,” Bass claimed during a mayoral debate five months ago. “I would say a 10. But I do understand that a lot of people around the city do not feel safe, and I respect that.”
But Bass backtracked those comments during an interview with Fox 11 Los Angeles on Wednesday, saying that her safety was “shattered.”
The reason she backtracked her comments is simple. Someone broke into her house and, among other things, stole a pair of guns. This, in and of itself, is interesting. She is one of those who is big on gun confiscation and stripping the right of self defense from people. According to Wikipedia:
While campaigning for Congress in 2010, Bass supported legislation that with other regulations would have required all gun dealers to report sales to the federal government.
Bass participated in the 2016 sit-in against gun violence in the House of Representatives. Democratic members of Congress adopted the slogan “No Bill, No Break” in an attempt to push the introduction of legislation making it more difficult for Americans to own guns for self-protection.
Bass strongly supports legislation to prohibit the sale, transfer, manufacture, and importation of semiautomatic weapons and ammunition-feeding devices capable of accepting more than ten rounds in the United States.
So she’s a typical Progressive, a complete and utter hypocrite.
The Democratic congresswoman also defended her possession of firearms, which reportedly surprised some city residents.
“I had guns for personal safety, as do many people. I think that gun control is extremely important,” the Democratic congresswoman said. “But I have never believed that people – if they wanted to have guns – should not have them.”
Well, the information I posted from Wikipedia, which uses her public record in congress, proves that she is a liar. She does not believe in the 2nd Amendment and from her actions, believes only the elites and their security details should be allowed guns. I think this is enough to show that she is unfit to be mayor of Los Angeles, or dog catcher for that matter.
In June, Bass told Fox News Digital that she plans to be “smart on crime” if elected mayor.
“My plan calls for getting officers on the beat immediately in neighborhoods that want to see an increased police presence,” Bass said. “But I believe the quickest way to get officers on the beat is to get them from behind the desk.”
Bass is a Democrat. She is a Kalifornistan Democrat. This means that she supports criminals and is perfectly willing to punish the innocent. If she were truly in favor of protect people, she would be all over the current District Attorney, George Gascon, demanding that he resign from office.
Of course, thanks to the “Ranked Choice” system imposed in Kalifornistan, the next mayor of Los Angeles will be yet another Progressive Liberal Democratic Communazi, and the city will continue it’s decent into complete anarchy. As far as I’m concerned, the people out there deserve everything they’re voting for, good and hard.
