Twitter Deal closes. Musk starts cleaning house

Good day all. No sooner do I post about a bunch of moronic moonbats in Twitter circulating a demand letter that Elon Musk has to be nice to them, then news comes out that the Deal is Done and Twitter is now under new management. Elon Musk announced the changes by walking into his new business carrying a sink.

As soon as he got settled into his new office, the layoffs began. Here are the details from the Post Millennial:

David Faber of CNBC reported Thursday night that Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and CFO Ned Segal have left Twitter as Elon Musk officially takes over the company. A later report noted that these execs, along with Vijaya Gadde, had been fired by the new owner.

“CEO Parag Agrawal, chief financial officer Ned Segal, and Vijaya Gadde, head of legal policy, trust, and safety, were all fired, according to the people. Sean Edgett , the company’s general counsel, was also pushed out, one of the people said,” the Washington Post reports.

The Thursday night firing indicates that Musk is taking the reigns quickly and forcefully, and will be closely involved in making decisions about content and management decisions.

“The three top Twitter executives were hastily shuttled from the building, the people said,” according to the Washington Post.

I saw some pictures showing the CEO and Chief of Censorship as they were, not so much shuttled from the building,” as escorted out with a cardboard box full of their personal property. Basically, they were in shock. Why this is, is a mystery to me. They had to know that they were going to be invited to seek other opportunities elsewhere, but then, they are Progressive Elitists and not used to actually being held to account for their actions.

Musk entered the San Francisco headquarters ahead of the $44 billion deal closing, and was faced with skeptical employees worried for their jobs and the company culture.

As they should be. First is the rumor that up to 75% of the current workforce may be laid off and have to learn to dig coal. This led to a bunch of idiots circulating a demand letter internally telling Musk that he better be nice to them. I doubt that is going to help them. As to the culture, Musk appears to be getting ready to nuke that from orbit.

The culture is one of group thinking totalitarians who have proven to be intolerant of any ideas they don’t agree with. This led to them banning anyone that didn’t toe the progressive line, which included the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, along with the Babylon Bee and the New York Post. One for telling jokes, the other for providing information that the Bidens are a bunch of corrupt thugs. That culture is going bye bye.

When Musk’s buy of the platform was announced in April, Gadde cried during that meeting, complaining about how the copmany could change under Musk’s leadership. She was widely reported to have been instrumental in the suppression and censorship of the New York Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop, which revealed a pattern of influence peddling and shady business deals by the Biden family.

“She got what she deserved,” Human Events Daily’s Jack Posobiec told Tim Pool on Tuesday night.

Not yet she hasn’t. That will take a while and require a deep internal audit, which Elon Musk is probably organizing now, and, potentially, a grand jury investigation leading to criminal charges.

If the audit determines that Gadde and the others were cooking the books, expect a major lawsuit by Musk and his investors, and potentially, the shareholders who are now being bought out. The criminal charges could include fraud, and violations of the Sarbannes/Oxely act. (Think Enron)

Segal made clear that even if Donald Trump were to run for president again in 2024, his Twitter account would not be restored. Trump was banned from the platform after the riot at the Capital on January 6, 2021.

Former CFO Segal is one of the reasons the Republican Party has been looking at legal and legislative remedies regarding Twitter and other Big Tech companies. The now former CEO Agrawal flat out hates America and everything it stands for.

Agrawal, who has said in the past that Twitter was “not bound by the first amendment,” took over for Twitter founder Jack Dorsey in November 2021. This was after the platform had suppressed and censored reporting from the New York Post on Hunter Biden’s laptop, which Dorsey later had to apologize for and admit was done in error.

“Our role,” Agrawal said of Twitter in 2020, “is not to be bound by the First Amendment, but our role is to serve a healthy public conversation and our moves are reflective of things that we believe lead to a healthier public conversation.”

“The kinds of things that we do about this is, focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed,” Agrawal said.

I’ve tried looking up Parag Agrawal’s citizenship. It lists him as being Indian and American, however I can’t find any public record of him taking the Oath of Citizenship. For most immigrants who become American citizens, this is a big thing in their lives, one they are proud of. If Agrawal is a citizen, he’s obviously ashamed of it and became an American citizen solely for business reasons.

As for Vijaya Gadde, the now former Chief Censor of Twitter, she came here when she was three. Looking at some basic information on Wikipedia, she makes the claim that the KKK had a major influence in her life. Frankly, I suspect she was lying about it. The KKK was all but gutted decades ago and what was left was burned down by the Southern Poverty and Law Center, (Back before they became nothing more than an arm of the Democrat Party) No one puts up with their antics these days no matter what side of the political fence they’re on.

All three of these people deserved to be fired. Elon Musk now has a lot on his plate, but getting rid of Parag Agrawa, Ned Segal and Vijaya Gadde had to be done. Reportedly, they will be getting a “Golden parachute,” but, if Musk’s forensic teams prove what he thinks has been happening inside Twitter, they might not see a dime of it and could face civil actions and potentially criminal. In any case, Musk is off to a good start.
