Good day all. The election is right around the corner and the Democrats appear to be doubling down on stupid. The political tone deafness this cycle by the Democrats is probably going to be used as an example of how not to run an election. One of the current Democrats who is in an actual fight is New York’s Sean Patrick Maloney.
Maloney is the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee chairman, and his seat was supposed to be a safe one. However, that hasn’t turned out to be the case this cycle and there is a fair chance that he could lose the election. He hasn’t been helping himself with comments that remind people of Marie Antoinette’s “Let them eat Cake!” comment just before she had her hair cut at the neck. Here are the details from Fox News:
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, D-N.Y., said during a late-October interview that his family would be “eating Chef Boyardee” when gas prices went up during his childhood and added “that’s what families have to do” if they find themselves in financial hardship.
“Hudson Valley residents are feeling pain at the pump and at grocery stores, what have you done, and what do you plan to do to help solve our inflation problem?,” Maloney was asked.
Resigning would be a good start, but that’s just me.
“Yeah, well, I grew up in a family where, you know, if the gas price went up, the food budget went down,” Rep. Maloney said. “So by this time of the week, we’d be eating Chef Boyardee if that budget wasn’t gonna change. So that’s what families have to do. Here’s what we should do,” Maloney said before discussing actions that he says would lower inflation.
That isn’t going to play well, especially since people know who caused all the economic issues we’re now facing. I’ll give you a hint. It’s not Donald Trump.
“We’re capping seniors’ out-of-pocket costs in the Medicare program. That’s a big deal. So now, only two thousand dollars a year will come out-of-pocket, rain or shine,” Maloney said. “That allows seniors to budget. We’re also negotiating, finally, in the Medicare program with the big prescription drug companies to lower the cost of everybody’s prescription drugs. That’s long overdue.”
And that does nothing to fix the mess you helped cause you moron. These are band-aids, and poor ones at that. If you like metaphors, and who doesn’t? This is putting a band-aid on a ripped open femoral artery. It’s not going to stop the bleeding at all, let alone slow it down.
Maloney also said that “we’ve released 90 million barrels from the strategic petroleum reserve, that’s what’s taken about $1.30 off the price of a gallon of gas. That’s a big help.”
No, it wasn’t, especially since you sold a lot of it to your pals in China. That reserve is to be used in case of national emergency and we simply aren’t able to pump or otherwise get oil, especially for the military. It isn’t meant to be used to save your political ass. As for taking $1.30 off the price? Even then it’s still almost twice what it was when the Greatest President of the 21st Century was replaced by the worst president* in American history. It’s also gone up almost a dollar in the last 2 weeks.
“We’ve got to do more to keep that price from going back up and keep it coming down.
That would mean reversing everything that Dementia Joe and you have done in the last two years.
And there’s other things we can do.
Like what Comrade? More communism?
We can absolutely bring health insurance premiums down for those on the Affordable Care Act. We’ve done that,” he added.
That is a complete failure and no one likes it. All it did was wreck the health insurance system. People despise it, and those forced to use it because of you quickly find out that they were sold a bill of goods.
“We can pay for these things, by the way, with a tax on big corporations, so they will finally pay what they owe. We finally did that.”
No, actually you haven’t. But then, you are a Progressive Liberal Democrat. You know nothing about how economics works, and you, like all good communists, think that the money people and business make is actually the property of the Government. If you want to see just how successful taxing businesses has been, why not look at all the corporations who are moving their headquarters out of high tax states, (Like New York), and moving to low tax states. Moron.
“That’s part of the strategy of the Inflation Reduction Act. And all of these strategies together – together with going after price gouging,by the way, because these big oil companies are making a fortune off of Putin’s war and the rest. We’ve got to make sure people aren’t profiting off the war. All of these strategies together can help bring prices down,” Maloney said.
And here we have the usual Communazi talking points. It’s all Putin’s fault. It’s all the oil Companies fault. It certainly isn’t my fault or the fault of all the policies I’ve shoved down the throats of the people I allegedly represent. After all this, the dumbass went after his Republican opponent, Mike Lawler, calling him everything under the sun and blaming him for everything. In other words, the usual drivel from the Democrats.
Lawler told Fox News Digital that Maloney’s response shows that he’s out of touch with the struggles of working families.
“Sean Maloney’s solution to tackling inflation is: let them eat Chef Boyardee!,” Lawler said. “It shows just how out of touch he is work [sic] the struggles of seniors, working families, and those in need of assistance. Voters understand the only way to fix it, is to fire the very politicians who have created this mess in the first place, which is why Sean Maloney will lose on Election Day!”
As of right now, this race, which should have been a Democrat slam dunk, is now listed as a toss up. Considering how accurate pollsters have been, this could mean that Maloney pulls out an incredibly narrow win, (After his team gets all the mail in ballots they’ve “gathered” into the hands of the vote counters), or it’s going to be a major Republican blowout and Maloney will be shown the door. We shall find out November 9th, 2022. Now would you like to have some canned spaghetti?
