Supreme Court ends Affirmative Action in higher education

Good day all. Tis the season for Supreme Court decisions, and they’ve just released one that is sure to set off the Woke, Politically Correct, and other types of Progressive Liberal Racist Democrats. The Court has just rejected the use of skin color in college admissions.

The ruling involves cases brought by students in North Carolina and Cambridge, Massachusetts. While I am not at all families with the one in North Carolina, I am aware of the one in Cambridge, MA. In case you haven’t figured it out, the Bastion of Progressive Reeducation, Harvard University, has just been told by the court to stop being so racist, primarily against Asians in their admissions. Here are the details from Fox News:

The U.S. Supreme Court handed down a major ruling on affirmative action Thursday, rejecting the use of race as a factor in college admissions as a violation of the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.

Many universities have argued that race-based admissions ensures that student bodies remain diverse, while critics such as the plaintiffs in the cases argue the policy discriminates against many qualified students based on race. 

The Race based, actually skin color based admissions, (There is only one known intelligent race on the planet, and that is the Human Race), used by colleges and universities have been used to discriminate against groups that the Progressives didn’t like. (Usually because they were generally a lot brighter then the moonbats running these places)

Students for Fair Admissions, a student activist group, brought cases against both Harvard and University of North Carolina. The group initially sued Harvard College in 2014 for violating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which “prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity that receives Federal funds or other Federal financial assistance.”

The complaint against Harvard alleged that the school’s practices penalized Asian American students, and that they failed to employ race-neutral practices. The North Carolina case raised the issue of whether the university could reject the use of non-race-based practices without showing that they would bring down the school’s academic quality or negatively impact the benefits gained from campus diversity.

One of the problems with using so called “Race Based” admission policies is that the universities went after people who flat out weren’t academically qualified to attend the schools. The went looking for these people solely due to their ethnic backgrounds. Most of these kids simply couldn’t make it and ended up dropping out. (The sad part is that in different schools, they would probably have been very successful. They also had a ton of debt that they have no way to pay off)

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit had ruled in Harvard’s favor, upholding the outcome of a district court bench trial. The district court said that the evidence against Harvard was inconclusive and that “the observed discrimination” affected only a small pool of Asian American students. It ruled that SFFA did not have standing in the case.

Justice is supposed to be blind, not the idiot judges. The evidence of highly qualified people being rejected in favor of less qualified people was obvious even to people like myself. (Asians generally are at the top, followed by Caucasians and then the usual hodgepodge).

The reality of the situation, why Asian kids do so well is their family traditions of hard work and studying. You don’t see that as much, (And that needs to change), with kids from Black families. Basically, the Asian kids generally worked their butts off.

The affirmative action cases gave rise to one of the most spirited court debates to occur within the Supreme Court building this past term, with Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito grilling Harvard’s lawyer, Seth Waxman.

Alito pressed Waxman on why it is that Asian American students regularly receive lower personal scores on their applications than other races.

Just an aside here. I refuse to see someone as from a different “Race” because they have different color skin or differently shaped eyes. Those are just evolved reactions to local conditions that their ancestors came from, nothing more)

Waxman talked around the justice’s questions, causing Alito to get frustrated with the lawyer. 

That’s a great way to win over a judge.

“I still haven’t heard any explanation for the disparity between the personal scores that are given to Asians,” Alito said.

Even the statist jelly spine, John Roberts got in on the action.

Waxman then got into a tense back-and-forth with Roberts. The justice asked why Waxman was downplaying race as a factor in admissions decisions, when according to Roberts it must have some impact, or else it would not be included.

Waxman admitted that race was decisive “for some highly qualified applicants,” just like “being … an oboe player in a year in which the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra needs an oboe player.”

“We did not fight a civil war about oboe players,” Roberts shot back. “We did fight a civil war to eliminate racial discrimination.”

Not exactly accurate Justice Roberts, but it makes the point. The two cases were decided as you would expect. 6-3 in the University of North Carolina case and 6-2 in the Harvard case. (Justice Jackson recused herself from the Harvard case due to prior work with Harvard) Basically, the Progressive Justices, (Two Obama and One Biden justice) are fully on board with racist policies and the “Racist MAGA evilbadnotgooddoublebadevil Racist” justices want decisions made based on actual ability.

I haven’t had time to see the reactions from the Woke Moonbat class of morons yet, but I’m sure it will be their usual rants, ravings, accusations followed by their usual demands to pack the court and threats against the conservative justices. All you need to do is give them a nice verbal curb stomp and call them out and demonstrate to these fools that they’re the true racists.

What happens next is going to be interesting. Colleges and Universities are now going through their usual application processes. One of the problems a lot of schools are having is falling enrollment. Smaller colleges are closing their doors because they can’t find people to attend them any longer. I doubt this is an issue with the larger Ivy League schools, but their normal racist policies have just been declared illegal. It will be interesting to see how they react. My money is on them trying to play games and continuing their racist activities. We shall see of course.
