Good day all. Last week a federal judge issued an injunction against the Biden Maladministration, forbidding them from contacting the various socialist media companies and telling them to censor content. The actual case is still winding it’s merry way through the courts, but the Injunction and the judges comments may be an indicator on where this case is going.
This goes back to the very beginning of the Biden Maladministration. We were dealing with the Great Panicdemic caused by the Fauci Bioweapon. There was a lot of bad information out there as well as people questioning a lot of what we were being told was true. Thanks to the Twitter Files, we have proof that the Federal Government was actively censoring people who weren’t following the narratives. We also know that all the so called conspiracy theories were actually true.
This has led to a whole host of lawsuits including a number of State Attorneys General. Concerned that the Biden Regime would continue violating the rights of people to speak their mind, they filed a lawsuit and as part of it, sought and were granted a temporary injunction. Here are the details from Fox News:
A U.S. District Court judge is temporarily preventing White House officials from meeting with tech companies about social media censorship, arguing that such actions in the past were likely First Amendment violations.
The Tuesday injunction by Louisiana Judge Terry A. Doughty was in response to recent lawsuits from Louisiana and Missouri attorneys general. The suits allege that the White House coerced or “significantly encourage[d]” tech companies to suppress free speech during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Doughty is barring several federal officials and agencies – including some of Biden’s Cabinet members and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre – from contacting social media companies in efforts to suppress speech. Google, Meta and Twitter were all named in the lawsuits.
I don’t think that the States are going to have to worry to much about Twitter any longer. Thanks to Elon Musk, and the release of the Twitter Files, we now have hard evidence that the Federal Government was actively suppressing the speech of anyone who opposed the Biden Maladministration.
The injunction, which was obtained by Fox News, states that the government’s actions “likely violate the Free Speech Clause” and that the court “is not persuaded by Defendants’ arguments,” dealing a significant blow to the White House.
“During the COVID-19 pandemic, a period perhaps best characterized by widespread doubt and uncertainty, the United States Government seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth,’” Doughty wrote.
“If the allegations made by Plaintiffs are true, the present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history,” the injunction adds. “In their attempts to suppress alleged disinformation, the Federal Government, and particularly the Defendants named here, are alleged to have blatantly ignored the First Amendment’s right to free speech.”
From what I understand, there was some request from the Trump Administration, but I believe they were more concerned with Russian bots. When the Worst, Most Corrupt President* in American History was installed into office by the Deep State, actual censorship with people being deplatformed started.
The injunction also claims that “the censorship alleged in this case almost exclusively targeted conservative speech,” but that issues the case raises are “beyond party lines.”
“Viewpoint discrimination is an especially egregious form of content discrimination,” Doughty argued. “The government must abstain from regulating speech when the specific motivating ideology or the perspective of the speaker is the rationale for the restriction.”
The blatant censorship of the Conservatives, starting with Twitter 1.0 banning the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, was bad enough. Of course, the precious progressive snowflakes, who, in many cases, flat out lied about things, and called for the murder of people they hated, such as several Supreme Court justices, were not touched. Like all liberals, they are unable to conceive that something they do can be turned against them. The judge saw this, hence his comments on ideology.
“Today’s historic ruling is a big step in the continued fight to prohibit our government from unconstitutional censorship,” Louisiana AG Jeff Landry said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing to litigate the case and will vigorously defend the injunction on appeal.”
They are going to get their chance. The Biden Regime has filed an appeal. The rumor is that it interferes with their ability to deal with misinformation. (This reasoning is a rumor so take this with some salt) This injunction, and how it was implemented, appears to show that the judge in the case that the plaintiffs are probably going to win. I suspect that the injunction will be upheld on appeal, and once the case goes to trial, the Biden maladministration is going to lose again.
This case may go to the full supreme court and I expect it will be upheld in the plaintiffs favor, probably 6-3 with the three Progressive members of the Court once again twisting themselves into knots trying to show how this wasn’t a violation of free speech. That is going to be a few years down the road and by then Dementia Joe will be out of office and in an Alzheimer’s ward, and the rest of his maladministration will be consulting for governments in non-extradition treaty countries.
