Good day all. It’s been 20 years since the 9/11 attack that led to the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. (For different reasons) one of the primary missions of the military and the Central Intelligence Agency was to get those who were responsible for planning, financing and supporting the terrorists that destroyed the World Trade Center and heavily damaged the Pentagon.
We captured the architect of the 9/11 attack and he’s been a guest of Gitmo for almost 20 years. Many people, actually pretty much everyone, is wondering why he hasn’t been hanged, shot or otherwise eliminated. It seems that this piece of Islamic shit is going to eventually have his day in court, where he will be found guilty and sentenced to death. Or would have been. It seems that Senile idiot is planning to take the death penalty off the table. Here are some of the details from Newsmax:
The suspected architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and his fellow defendants may never face the death penalty under plea agreements now under consideration to bring an end to their more than decade long prosecution, the Pentagon and FBI have advised families of some of the thousands killed.
The notice, made in a letter that was sent to several of the families and obtained by The Associated Press, comes 1 1/2 years after military prosecutors and defense lawyers began exploring a negotiated resolution to the case.
Why are the prosecutors even thinking about a plea deal? They have this slug dead to rights and the only justice for the families is the execution of this scum.
The prosecution of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four others held at the U.S. detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, has been troubled by repeated delays and legal disputes, especially over the legal ramifications of the interrogation under torture that the men initially underwent while in CIA custody. No trial date has been set.
They water boarded the guy. Big deal. Our own people go through this as well in SERE training so they know what to expect. I understand that even the interrogators experience it so they understand it. This terrorist doesn’t deserve a trial, he should be lined up against a wall and shot.
“The Office of the Chief Prosecutor has been negotiating and is considering entering into pre-trial agreements,” or PTAs, the letter said. It told the families that while no plea agreement “has been finalized, and may never be finalized, it is possible that a PTA in this case would remove the possibility of the death penalty.”
So, is this another deal being “negotiated” by David Weiss? It sure sounds like it to me.
Some relatives of the nearly 3,000 people killed outright in the terror attacks expressed outrage over the prospect of ending the case short of a verdict.
The military prosecutors pledged to take their views into consideration and present them to the military authorities who would make the final decision on accepting any plea agreement.
Since these are probably Obama and Biden lawyers, it’s a safe bet that they have taken any concerns of the families and filed them away.
The Newsmax article then goes into all the history of the 9/11 attack. It then speaks with people who lost family members that horrific day.
Jim Riches, who lost his firefighter son Jimmy in 9/11, went to Guantanamo for pretrial hearings in 2009. He remains deeply frustrated that the case remains unresolved 14 years later. He said he laughed bitterly when he opened the government’s letter Monday.
“How can you have any faith in it?” Riches asked. The update “gives us a little hope,” he said, but justice still seems far off.
Justice would be hanging this bastard.
The five defendants were captured at various times and places in 2002 and 2003 and sent to Guantanamo for trial in 2006.
And they should have been shot by 2007. Taking them alive was probably a mistake. At least we learned that one when it came to take out bin Laden.
The case has played out with a changing series of defense lawyers and judges, all grappling with the legalities and logistics of the military trial.
What logistics? All you need is a drum, a flag ranked officer, a presentation of the evidence and then a nice hanging. Problem solved.
Much of the hearings have been mired in litigation over how much of the testimony should be considered inadmissible by the torture that defendants underwent in early CIA custody, including the waterboarding of Mohammed 183 times.
Honestly, none should be allowed and frankly, I don’t think the interrogators were even considering using the information in a trial. They have plenty of other evidence to hang these scum with. The problem is Biden. This is the very same moron who, when they were working out the best way to get Osama bin Laden, said that we should call the Pakistani government have have them arrest bin Laden.
It never entered his empty head that it was the Pakistani’s who had been protecting and aiding him in the first place. (He was to busy extorting bribes from Burisma) If Obama had listened to that idiot, we would have lost him again. Fortunately, Obama did something right for a change and sent in the navy SEAL’s to take care of business. He also had Biden’s number.
There are people in the maladministration and the Democrat Party who want these scum let go. Not because they aren’t guilty, they know they are. No, it’s all part of their goal of crushing the United States and ending out uniqueness and independent spirit. (They also want to lot the country and enrich themselves) If Biden does take the death penalty off the table, he should be impeached on charges of treason. (I do think this would reach the constitutional level)
