Good day all. This story just came out. The junior senator of the State of Utah, Mittens Romney, has announced he is not going to be seeking a second term in 2024.
Romney, who is the definition of “TransRepublican,” conned his way into the Senate in 2018. He told the people of Utah that he was a conservative and would uphold their values. Basically, he lied. He absolutely despises the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump and voted to convict him in the laughable impeachment in 2021 after he had left office. He has managed to anger everyone in Utah and in a repeat of his decision to not run for reelection as Govno of Massachusetts, he is bravely running away. Here are the details from Fox News:
Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, on Wednesday announced that he is not seeking re-election in 2024 in a statement bashing both President Biden and former President Donald Trump while calling for “a new generation of leaders.”
“I have spent my last 25 years in public service of one kind or another. At the end of another term, I’d be in my mid-eighties. Frankly, it’s time for a new generation of leaders. They’re the ones that need to make the decisions that will shape the world they will be living in,” Romney said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital.
Frankly, if you want to talk physical condition, Romney is in good shape, unlike his good buddies, Brain Freeze Mitch McConnell and Dementia Joe Biden. He probably could have pulled off a second term if he had any chance of winning the primary. (Which he didn’t)
“We face critical challenges — mounting national debt, climate change, and the ambitious authoritarians of Russia and China. Neither President Biden nor former President Trump are leading their party to confront them,” Romney said.
Of course, he had to take a dig at President Trump. He seems to have forgotten that under President Trump, we were at peace. We weren’t shipping our troops off to fight a useless war for no reason other then to stroke the ego of a Neocon Ninny. He might also consider that the Russians stole the Crimea from the Ukrainians under Obama and invaded under Biden. They didn’t do anything under President Trump.
“On the deficits and debt, both men refuse to address entitlements even though they represent two thirds of federal spending. Donald Trump calls global warming a hoax and President Biden offers feel-good solutions that will make no difference to the global climate,” he added.
Global warming is a hoax and climate change is nonsense. The climate has been changing since the Earth developed an atmosphere and will continue to do so until the sun expands and blows it off the planet. As for the debt and deficits? What did you do about them? That would be a big fat nothing other then making them worse.
With respect to China, Romney said, “President Biden underinvests in the military and President Trump underinvests in our alliances. Political motivations too often impede the solutions that these challenges demand. The next generation of leaders must take America to the next stage of global leadership.”
Biden is owned by the Chinese Communist government. President Trump understands that Americans do not like getting all caught up in other country’s issues unless they are a direct threat to us. You are just another Transnational Globalist who puts other countries interests ahead of America’s.
“While I’m not running for re-election, I’m not retiring from the fight. I’ll be your United States Senator until January 2025. I will keep working on these and other issues and I will advance our state’s numerous priorities. I look forward to working with you and with folks across our state and nation in that endeavor,” he said.
So, if/when the House sends over a bill of impeachment to the Senate regarding Joe Biden, you are going to vote in favor of it if the evidence shows he is a criminal?
Romney is “retiring” due to ill health. The voters of Utah are sick of him. He didn’t represent them and stabbed everyone in the back. President Trump being the most obvious, but also Mike Lee, the senior senator of Utah.
Romney’s willingness to reach across the aisle and criticize other national Republicans has caused friction with the Utah GOP. Last month, more than 60 GOP Utah state lawmakers endorsed Utah state House Speaker Brad Wilson to mount a primary challenge against Romney.
This is where I came up with the term “TransRepublican” for Mittens Romney. He is beyond RINO, (Republican In Name Only), he voted more in line with the Democrats then some Democrats.
Romney read the tea leaves, aka the polls and saw his numbers were lower then Kamala Harris, if that is possible. Just like what happened in Massachusetts, he doesn’t have the guts to go down to a crushing, well earned defeat, so he’s quitting. Goodbye and Good riddance to that lying piece of trash. Utah, you can do a lot better then a Romney.
