Good day all. The best known fake indian in America, Senator Elizabeth “Lie-a-watha” Warren is the senior senator for the People’s Republic of Taxachusetts. She is a classic Manhattan Marxist. She is a big government absolutist and that anything that is mandated by the government is good.
When Obamacare was shoved down America’s throat, Little Big Liar was all in on it. She wanted to use Obamacare to end the private medical system and institute a Socialist health care system. Now, after more then 10 years of Obamacare, it appears that Fauxahontas may have had a stroke. That’s the only reason I can think of with her admission that Obamacare is a failure. Here are the details from Fox News:
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., “is at long last acknowledging that ObamaCare has increased healthcare prices” and created other unintentional consequences, the Wall Street Journal editorial board wrote Friday.
Warren, who has long supported the Affordable Care Act, the official name for ObamaCare, has recently come to an “epiphany” about “industry consolidation and price increases caused by the healthcare law,” per The Journal.
Nice of you to notice you Commie Cow. It would be even worse if the mandate that everyone had to have insurance or else, hadn’t been declared unconstitutional. (Frankly the entire thing is unconstitutional and would have been strangled in it’s crib if it hadn’t been for John Roberts) The one thing it did very well was wreck the individual insurance market. People who were paying for the insurance they needed were told it was no good and had their policies cancelled. They were forced to by “Official” Obamacare policies that were more expensive and, frankly, are crap. (Yes, I know people this happened to)
A letter to the Health and Human Services Department inspector general was aimed at determining if “vertically-integrated health care companies are hiking prescription drug costs” and are “evading federal regulations.” In a bipartisan letter, she and Sen. Mike Braun, R-Ind., complained “that the nation’s largest health insurers are dodging ObamaCare’s medical loss ratio (MLR),” according to The Journal.
I will admit that I have no idea what they mean by medical loss ratio. I doubt that warren does either.
As Warren describes in the letter, health insurers have exploited the situation, making for “sky-high prescription drug costs and excessive corporate profits.”
I see that Big Chief Sitting Bullshit is letting her inner, (and outer), Marxist out to play.
“In functioning markets, generic drugs cost 80 to 85 percent less than their name-brand equivalents, giving patients much-needed relief from high drug costs and saving taxpayer dollars,” Warren wrote. “But patients – including patients in public health care programs like Medicare and Medicaid – who either use or are compelled to use vertically integrated specialty pharmacies are not seeing this relief.”
Gee, I wonder why that is? Could it be that these insurers have figured out how to legally loot the treasury? No, that can’t be it. After all, it’s a government program and those are always so cost effective and well run.
The Fox article then continues to quote the whines of Warren. I also looked up Sen. Mike Braun to see what he’s all about. My first thought was that he’s a typical GOP(e) RINO, however it looks more like he’s trying to find a way to kill Obamacare where Warren looks to be trying to use it to nationalize the health insurance system.
The Journal explained that despite Democrats arguing that the MLR would help patients, “the rule has spurred insurers to merge with or acquire pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), retail and specialty pharmacies, and healthcare providers.”
“This has made healthcare spending less transparent since insurers can shift profits to their affiliates by increasing reimbursements,” the board wrote.
I don’t know why this is surprising anyone. Any time you get the government involved in things like this, Obamacare or the student loans for higher education, the costs go right through the roof and the value goes right down the drain. Of course, Warren is doubling down on stupid.
Warren has voted against ObamaCare repeal efforts over the years but also pushed for a “Medicare for All” proposal when she ran for president in 2020.
The “Medicare for All” plan is socialist, government run health care similar to what you see in Eurostan or Britain. Of course, the way the Euortrash governments cut costs is to flat out kill patients they deem not worth the money to treat. It is nice to see that a small, infinitesimal, almost microscopic clue has gently landed on Fauxahontas’s shoulder. I’m sure she’s going to sweep it off soon. Nothing will stand in the way of the glorious Socialist revolution and the rule of the serfs by the Progressive Elites, such as Elizabeth Warren.
