Good day all. The recent election in Louisiana booted the current Democrat govno, John Bel Edwards from office. This now puts Louisiana firmly in the Republican camp. This rejection seems to have stuck in the craw of Edwards and he has given a number of criminals a farewell present. He pardoned some 56 convicts.
In and of itself, this isn’t a major story. Pardons may be issued to people who have been wrongfully convicted to save time and money. Others have completed their sentences and want to restore all their rights. The issue here is that Edwards has pardoned inmates currently incarcerated and it includes convicted murderers. Here are the details from Fox News:
The outgoing governor of Louisiana has pardoned 56 inmates since October of this year, including dozens of convicted murderers.
With a staggering 1,094 people per 100,000 in some form of incarceration, Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards has made reducing the state’s grossly over-populated prisons a top priority of his final term in office.
“For as long as I can remember, Louisiana reflexively responded to an increase in crime by putting more people in prison and keeping them there longer,” Edwards told Louisiana news outlet NOLA.com this week.
Well there is a reason for that dumbass. They are criminals. As for murderers, if you want to cut down on prison population, execute them.
“We’ve never been made safer as a result of that,” Edwards said. “There is no data to suggest that an increase in crime here was because of the reforms.”
Here we have Liberal logic. There is no point in locking up criminals because it doesn’t do any good. I’m sure the victims of these criminals, those still alive, might not agree. As for the riffraff that this clown released?
Others released by Edwards include inmates convicted of arson, robbery, and drug dealing, according to a complete list compiled by local outlet Fox 8.
That group is bad enough. It’s a fairly safe bet that they are all repeat offenders and they will be offending again. What’s worse is the murderers this jerk pardoned.
A total of 40 convicted murderers have been pardoned by Edwards in the past three months.In December alone, Edwards pardoned five inmates convicted of first-degree murder and eleven convicted of second-degree murder.
First degree? That used to be a capitol offense leading to the convicted murder being executed, and this evil piece of democrat shit PARDONED them? These are the last people you want to release, and it isn’t that he commuted their sentences, he basically said “Here you go! Your record is now clear. You can go and buy a gun and murder more innocent people. Have a nice day!”
I hope the new governor and the state legislature look into these pardons. There is something very fishy with them. If the goal was to reduce the prison population then commuting the sentences of nonviolent convicts to time served. This would maintain the conviction status of the criminals but they could be released. A full pardon basically clears the slate for any state crimes. (Federal convictions would require a presidential pardon. Please contact Hunter Biden for a price list) This smells to high heaven. While I am not making any accusations, it wouldn’t be the first time a governor sold pardons.
I wonder what the families of the victims had to say about this state of affairs. Somehow, I don’t think that they were consulted before this clown signed all the pardons. Sadly, I don’t think anything can be done about the convicts who received the pardons. As far as the state of Louisiana is concerned, they are free and clear with full rights restored. I don’t know if there is a way to revoke them. What this does show is the Democrat Party’s complete contempt for the Rule of Law. The good news is Louisiana has thrown them out. Our turn nationally will be next November. We need to put an end to the Democrat sponsored national crime wave.
