United Nations trying to interfere with the U.S. judicial system again

Good day all. Recently Alabama ordered the execution of a convicted murderer by asphyxiation. By this, they mean putting the convicted murder into the gas chamber.

What is different this time is the gas they intend to use when they put this murderous dog down. Normally they would use cyanide gas. This time, they want to use Nitrogen gas. The idea being that Nitrogen Gas, which makes up about 70% of the atmosphere, won’t trigger the gasping or choking reflex. The convict will simply pass out and die. This has drawn the attention of the United Nations. They are trying to put a stop to this. Here are the details from Fox News:

The United Nations Human Rights Council is pushing to stop Alabama from following through with America’s first nitrogen gas execution later in January.

Kenneth Eugene Smith is scheduled to be executed on January 25, but U.N. experts argue there has been no evidence to suggest that nitrogen gas would not “result in a painful and humiliating death.”

First, who cares if the murderer suffers? I’m sure his victim won’t be complaining. Second, there is plenty of evidence that asphyxiation by nitrogen gas doesn’t cause any pain. How do they know this? There have hard evidence from people who were accidentally exposed to the gas but were rescued before they died. None of them realized what was happening and simply blacked out. Other saw what was happening and pulled them out of wherever this occurred and they quickly got them into fresh air before death or brain damage happened.

While the U.N. experts offered no evidence that nitrogen hypoxia would result in suffering, they argue that nitrogen gas executions may violate the U.N. Convention against Torture and other U.N. agreements to which the U.S. is a party.

The experts – Morris Tidball-Binz, Alice Jill Edwards, Tlaeng Mofokeng and Margaret Satterthwaite – went on to express their disappointment in the U.S. for continuing the practice of capital punishment.

Uh huh, experts. People who are opposed to executing murderers. Right. I have no doubt that they are absolutely objective in their work.

Alabama’s safety protocols for nitrogen executions acknowledge potential danger to those in the room administering the gas. As a result, spiritual advisers are not allowed in the room at the time unless they sign a waiver beforehand.

Honestly, it’s no more dangerous then the old style cyanide gas and probably a lot less dangerous. I suspect it’s the lawyers who are pushing the liability waivers. I would be shocked if they don’t have protocols in place if something happened. The best protocol would be good ventilation. Pumping in fresh air from outside of the building.

Rev. Jeffrey Hood, a spiritual adviser to death row inmates, filed a lawsuit arguing that requiring such a waiver violates a Supreme Court ruling protecting the right of an inmate to have a spiritual adviser present during his execution, according to CBS News.

Sign the damn waiver you phony. We all know what you’re trying to do. You are trying to stop the execution. As for the criminal, he was convicted for hiring a hit man to murder his wife back in 1988. He was convicted and while the jury recommended life without parole, the judge said “Hang the bastard.” All the appeals were made and rejected.

In 2022, they tried to execute him by lethal injection, but weren’t able to find a vein to stick the needle in. Now they want to gas the murderer and have decided to use pure nitrogen to do it. One interesting thing, once they terminate this walking piece of human debris, they won’t have to do anything special when they vent the chamber. All they need to do is flood it with regular air and vent it straight into the atmosphere. So the execution method is also environmentally friendly as well.

As for the United Nations and their latest attempt to interfere in the American judicial system? They can talk a long walk off the nearest pier into the East River. A majority of Americans have had it with the United Nations and wants the United States to pull out and then kick them out of the country. Perhaps President Trump might consider doing this and putting forward the legislation in Congress to pull us out and reclaim the building. I’m sure President Trump will be more then happy to renovate it for other purposes.
