Good day all. I suspect that New York Attorney General Letitia Green is discovering that her recent moves to “Get Trump!” aren’t all that popular with a major segment of the population. This includes firefighters from the New York Fire Department.
Recently, James showed her face at a promotion ceremony for New York Firefighters. Why she was there is an interesting question since she really had no reason to put in an appearance. The FDNY Firefighters were not happy with her and they showed it, booing her loudly. This didn’t sit well with the higher ups in the FDNY and someone sent out a message saying that theyw ere going to hunt these people down and punish them. Here are the details from the New York Post:
FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh is hunting down smoke-eaters and other staffers who mercilessly booed New York Attorney General Letitia James – and cheered in support of Donald Trump – during a department promotion ceremony this week, The Post has learned.
FDNY Chief of Department John Hodges fired off an email to other agency honchos warning a reckoning led by the department’s Bureau of Investigation and Trials was coming over the chorus of boos and chants of “Trump” that James received at Thursday’s event.
“BITS is investigating this, so they will figure out who the members are,” Hodges wrote FDNY chiefs Saturday in the letter obtained by The Post.
“I recommend they come forward. I have been told by the commissioner it will be better for them if they come forward and we don’t have to hunt them down,” he continued.
“The [deputy chiefs] shall direct the captain of the company to make a list of those who come forward and send it directly to [FDNY operations]. I realize members might not come forward but they should know that there is clear video of the entire incident and they will be contacted by BITS if they don’t,” he wrote.
Oh this isn’t going to end well for those idiots, and I don’t mean the firefighters who voiced their opinions of James and her persecution of the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump. The reports indicate that those in attendance weren’t on duty and weren’t in uniform.
An FDNY retiree fumed at the department’s heavy-handed response.
“It was a political stunt for the city to have the AG there. When it backfired, they sent their fascist pit bulls after guys for exercising their First Amendment rights,” he said. “Most were off-duty and not in FDNY uniform.”
If any actions are taken against these people, the lawsuits will be epic, and that’s before the Union gets involved. (Which they damn well better. This is a classic reason for the existence of a union. Protecting their members from out of control management)
Famed constitutional and criminal law attorney Alan Dershowitz blasted the FDNY’s hunt down.
“Firefighters have an absolute constitutional right to boo the attorney general, and the government has no power to punish them for it,” Dershowitz told The Post. “So efforts to get the names of the booers is an effort by the government to chill free speech and is unconstitutional.”
Now the FDNY management is claiming that they aren’t actually trying to find out who boo’d the corrupt AG, Letitia James. Here are those details from Fox News:
The FDNY pushed back on a report that it was “hunting” down firefighters and staffers who booed New York Attorney General Letitia James and shouted, “Trump! Trump! Trump!” during a promotion ceremony last week, saying that it is simply looking into those who broke department regulations.
“Nobody is hunting anyone down,” FDNY spokesman Jim Long told Fox News Digital in an email on Sunday morning. “We’re looking into those who clearly broke department regulations. It has nothing to do with politics. It’s about professionalism at an official event held in a house of worship.”
Nice try. However there is this small problem of threats from the FDNY leadership to do just that. Hunt down and punish firefighters for exercising their right of free speech as protected by the 1st Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. Granted, Democrats don’t think that such an archaic document matters in their quest for a Utopian State, but most people who aren’t Progressive Liberal Democrats do.
I suspect that the FDNY management is going to try and walk this disaster back in some way. Their denial that they are going to track down people who boo’d James is a small step. What’s probably happened is that their legal staff has quietly asked them “Are you Fu***ng insane?”
The worst case scenario would be these morons finding and punishing firefighters and the firefighters walking off the job. That will turn not just people against the FDNY and the City Government, it will turn commercial building owners against them as well. Perhaps Commissioner Kavanaugh might want to consider a new line of work. She obviously doesn’t support the people who put their lives on the line every day.

It is par for the course that freedom of speech only extends to speech pleasing to the party in these two bit communist “republics.” And no the appointees do not care for the mere peasants under them.
Since I wrote this, it looks like the idiots at the top took the hint from the repeated beatings with a clue stick and aren’t looking any longer. Probably flat out threats of legal action and potential job actions if they went after anyone.
