Good day all. Friday, August 23rd, Robert F. Kennedy, who has been running on as a third party candidate, announced that he was suspending his campaign. Further, he and his Vice President candidate have said that they are throwing their support to the Trump/Vance ticket.
RFK Jr. is, or was a Democrat. However, the Democrat Party basically expelled him when he dared to run in the primaries against President* Mashed Potato Brains Biden. At that point the Democrats demonstrated what they really think about democracy by declaring lawfare on RFK and suing to get him removed from the ballot.
He finally ran out of money and that was when he made his decision to suspend the campaign. (A suspended campaign allows him to continue raising money to clear his bills) Last week, the rumors started with his VP candidate saying that they were thinking of closing down and backing President Trump. The rumors were accurate and the Democrats are very unhappy. Here are the details from Fox News:
Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on Friday dropped his White House bid and announced support for former President Donald Trump, issuing broadsides against the Democratic Party’s handling of the primary election and media censorship.
“…I’ve made the heart-wrenching decision to suspend my campaign and to support President Trump. This decision is agonizing for me because of the difficulties it causes me, and my children and my friends,” said Kennedy.
To be honest, there is no way I would ever vote for RFK or any member of the Kennedy family. I consider RFK Jr. to be a bit of a nut. Also, it looks like he was pulling votes from both President Trump and Dementia Joe. Now it looks like most of RFK’s voters may move to President Trump. (RFK is many things, but I don’t think he’s a Communist like Harris and Walz) Still there were a lot of people who would vote for him if it wasn’t for the Democrats Third World tactics when dealing with their political opponents.
Kennedy charged in an event in Phoenix, Arizona that the Democratic Party “waged continual legal warfare against both President Trump and myself,” and “ran a sham primary.”
“In an honest system, I believe I would have won the election,” he argued. “I no longer believe that I have a realistic past of electoral victory in the face of this relentless, systematic censorship and media control.”
RFK should have learned his lesson after the 2020 Democrat primary where they basically rigged the primaries to keep Comrade Bernie Sanders off the ticket. Then there was the blatant cheating by the Democrats to give the nomination to Felonia von Pantsuit. Did he really think they would let him win?
Kennedy’s campaign is asking swing states to remove his name from the ballot because he does not want to be a “spoiler,” he said. He will remain on the ballot in states that he considers “red” or “blue,” he said. “If you live in a blue state, you can vote for me without harming or helping President Trump or Vice President Harris,” Kennedy said. “In red states, the same will apply.”
The announcement ends the presidential run by the longtime environmental activist and high-profile vaccine skeptic, who is the scion of the nation’s most storied political dynasty.
I won’t bother going into my utter and complete contempt for the Kennedy family yet again. I think my eulogy for Dead Ted Kennedy, aka Ted the Swimmer, says it all. As for his anti-vax stand, we aren’t talking about the Covid-19 vaccines. He’s opposed to all vaccines including ones in use for almost a century to protect children. (See why I call him a nut?)
President Biden’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee for months repeatedly slammed Kennedy as a potential spoiler whose supporters could hand Trump a presidential election victory in November.
And the problem with this is what exactly?
The Trump campaign, which had cheered on Kennedy when he was running against Biden as a Democrat, also started taking aim at him after he switched to an independent run, labeling him a member of the “radical left,” and criticizing him for his environmental activism.
That’s politics and fair game. I don’t know if the Trump Campaign went after RFK Jr. with lawyers. (The RNC may have)
Kennedy described the modern Democratic Party as “the party of war, censorship, corruption, big pharma, big tech, big ag, and big money.”
The Democrat Party only cars about one thing. Power for the Democrat Elite. They will literally stop at nothing these day to get it, including setting up President Trump for assassination. (Considering all the information that’s come out of late, that is something that does need to be considered)
“The DNC waged continual legal warfare against both President Trump and myself,” said Kennedy. “Each time that our volunteers turned in those towering boxes of signatures needed to get on the ballot, the DNC dragged us into court, state after state, attempting to erase their work and disappear with the will of the voters, which signed those petitions.”
“It deployed DNC-aligned judges to throw me and other candidates off the ballot, and to throw President Trump in jail.”
Democrats consistently have attacked both Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as anti-democracy candidates, for which RFK Jr. lambasted them in his remarks Thursday.
“….Trump won’t hold autocrats accountable — because he wants to be an autocrat,” said Vice President Harris at the DNC in Chicago.
I see that Komrade Kamala is projecting again. She’s the one who wants to bring back slavery and tried to do so in Kalifornistan. She was the one who refused to release convicts who’s sentence was completed. (Either through parole or they had served their time) She did this for free labor for the State.
Earlier this week, Kennedy running mate Nicole Shanahan sparked headlines by saying in a podcast interview that the campaign was considering whether to “join forces” with Trump to prevent the possibility of Vice President Kamala Harris winning the 2024 election.
“If he endorsed me, I would be honored by it. I would be very honored by it. He really has his heart in the right place,” Trump said on Thursday in an interview on “Fox & Friends.”
One of the issues for RFK Jr. was the refusal of the Biden Maladministration to provide him with Secret Service protection. They changed that policy after the attempt on President Trump. After that incident, Trump and Kennedy started talking to each other, looking for areas that they generally agree on. (There isn’t a lot, but there was enough I guess)
In the last few weeks, RFK’s poll numbers dropped and I think he’s at about 6% or so. He’s also pretty much run out of money, so he was going to have to give up soon anyway. When the news came out that RFK was suspending his campaign and supporting President Trump, the Democrats showed their usual grace and class.
“The more voters learned about RFK Jr. the less they liked him. Donald Trump isn’t earning an endorsement that’s going to help build support, he’s inheriting the baggage of a failed fringe candidate. Good riddance,” said DNC Senior Advisor Mary Beth Cahill following Kennedy’s speech.
And from the Harris/Walz campaign
“For any American out there who is tired of Donald Trump and looking for a new way forward, ours is a campaign for you. In order to deliver for working people and those who feel left behind, we need a leader who will fight for you, not just for themselves, and bring us together, not tear us apart. Vice President Harris wants to earn your support,” said Harris-Walz 2024 Campaign Chair Jen O’Malley Dillon.
That phrase, “New Way Forward” is a classic Marxist term. Harris and Walz are communists. Their contempt for the Constitution is well documented. (Walz ordered police to fire on people sitting on their porches during his tyrannical Covid lockdown. It was with paintballs, but people could have fired back with real guns and live ammo) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. saw just how tyrannical the Democrat Party has become. Neither his Father or JFK would have lasted in today’s Democrat Party, and now he’s walked away as well.
