Good day all. It’s time to break out the popcorn. With the landslide victory of President Trump, and the Republican Party making solid inroads to the traditional Democrat base, the Democrats aren’t feeling to good about their future.
Obviously, I’m going to gloat a bit. Why not after the last four years of the Biden Maladministration’s attempts to wreck the United States? When President Trump stepped aside as per the constitution four years ago, people were and still are questioning the actual integrity of what is now called the Tainted Election of 2024.
I’m not going to go over that election. It’s water under the bridge and honestly, it’s put President Trump in a much stronger position when he retakes the Oval office. This is where the Democrats and Republicans have long differed. When the GOP loses, they look into why. They talk to people and they take corrective actions. The Democrats? For them, it’s always “The message.” They can’t conceive that their goals aren’t what the majority of Americans want. Now they are screaming, ranting and raving about how unfair everything is. What they aren’t, is introspective. Here are the details from Fox News:
A new poll finds that Democrats are feeling glum about their party’s prospects after Republican President-elect Trump won the 2024 presidential election.
Democratic pessimism about the party’s future is at its highest point in eight years, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. Republicans, on the other hand, are riding high and have the most optimistic outlook about their party recorded since the 2016 election, Trump’s last presidential victory.
For the first time since 2016, more Americans say the GOP, not the Democratic Party, represents the interests of “people like them” very or somewhat well, 50% to 43%.
There is a lot to unwind here. First, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz were even worse on the campaign trail then Felonia von Pantsuit, aka Hillary Clinton. Then there is Dementia Joe Biden, the corrupt, hair sniffing pedo. His mental collapse was well underway back in 2019 and the Democrats knew it. They just didn’t care. They needed Biden in place so they could completely weaponize the Federal Government to go after President Trump and his supporters. Now everything has gone to hell in a handbasket from their point of view.
Trump defeated Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, winning 312 Electoral College votes to her 226 votes and sweeping all the battleground states. Republicans also flipped control of the Senate and managed to cling to their majority in the House of Representatives, as well — guaranteeing full control of the federal government with a favorable 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court.
Now there is the filibuster in the Senate. Interestingly, UpChuck Schumer and the Democrats were all hot to abolish it. Suddenly, they’ve fallen deeply in love with it. Funny that, isn’t it?
The story goes on to “Running the numbers and I won’t bore you with those. The basic data is about half of the Democrats are not happy with the future of the Democrat Party. Apparently, the number of Democrats that are pessimistic up more then 10% over how they felt when Felonia von Pantsuit was blown out by President Trump. On the flip side, we have the Republican Party.
Republicans, however, are far more optimistic about their party today (86%) than they were after the 2022 midterms (65%) and Trump’s 2016 victory (79%).
The midterms were a bit of an anomaly. By rights, the GOP should have won the Senate. That they didn’t wasn’t due to voter and election fraud, (Although there was some of that), it was due to Cocaine Mitch McConnell and his drive to keep his position as the Republican party leader in the Senate. He intentionally threw several winnable elections. Why? The candidates weren’t going to bend over and kiss his ass.
Additionally, more Americans now say the GOP best represents their interests than those who say it is the Democratic Party who does so. About half of Americans say Republicans best represent “people like them” compared to 43% who say so about Democrats — a shift from recent years when the Democratic Party was believed to be more representative of “people like them.”
There is a reason for this and it’s called “The Internet.” Up until the 90’s, and for some time afterwards, the Main Stream Media, also known as the Democrat Propaganda Corps basically controlled the flow of information to the voters. They would lie with impunity and even when caught, nothing much could be done with it.
Then the Internet took off and all of a sudden people had hundreds of new sources of information. Some of it was as bad as the MSM, but many others, known that they would be attacked, did their best to keep it honest. This included telling their visitors just where they stood on things so that the visitors could make their own decisions.
This led to the moves by the Leftist elites running most of Big Tech actively suppressing alternative views. In 2020 we saw the “High water mark” where big tech was actively censoring any viewpoints that follow the Democrat’s narratives. That blew up when Elon Musk bought Twitter and released the Twitter files.
With that, the stranglehold that the Deep State and Big Tech had on the ability to suppress anything they deemed “Wrongthink” pretty much ended. Also, alternative media sites began popping up that started blowing massive holes in the Progressive Narratives. Now the latest rumor is that the Liberal’s favorite outlet of progressive propaganda, MSNBC, might actually, possibly, maybe, be the next target for Elon Musk.
What started out as a small joke by Donald Trump Jr. has taken on a life of it’s own. Is it any wonder the Democrats are feeling pessimistic? Perhaps all the Democrats can join Rob “Meathead” Reiner in that facility that he’s checked into. I’m sure the walls of all the “Safe Spaces” are very well padded and sound proofed.
