Good day all. The recent presidential election did several things. It has put the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, back where he belongs, in the Oval Office. It also demonstrated that the people of America have had it with Illegal Aliens.
Apparently, the President of the United Auto Workers hasn’t gotten the message. Recently UAW president Shawn Fain announced his support of a bill in Michigan to give Illegal Aliens drivers licenses. Here are some of the details from the Midwesterner:
Members of the United Auto Workers are paying to lobby lawmakers to give driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants in Michigan.
“With over 300,000 active and retired members, the UAW is Michigan’s largest union. We fight for the working class, and we strongly encourage our legislators to do the same by taking urgent action to pass legislation that helps working families and our communities,” UAW President Shawn Fain wrote to lame duck Democrats in the Michigan legislature.
I wonder if this Commie has bothered to actually poll the membership of the UAW that he purports to represent? I suspect the answer to that is a flat out no. While many unions backed Kackling Kamala Harris, the union rank and file generally went for President Trump. The leadership of the Teamsters saw which way the wind was blowing and chose to not endorse either candidate, which has generally been seen as a win for the Trump team.
The Dec. 4 letter obtained by Michigan Capitol Confidential urges lawmakers to adopt a Drive SAFE bill package with yea votes for House bills 4410, 4411, and 4412.
I’m not aware of these bills since I don’t live in “Militiagan.” One of the problems with giving criminal aliens state drivers licenses and ID’s is Real ID. States are being pushed to adopt Real ID. Without a Real ID, people will be blocked from boarding planes or entering federal buildings. (There are other forms of identification that can be used in place of Real ID, such as Passports and for Lawful resident Aliens, their green cards)
The UAW’s most recent LM-2 report to the U.S. Department of Labor shows auto union spent $4.1 million in member dues on political activities and lobbying in 2023, including on social issues that many of its members disagree with.
“Unfortunately, UAW officials are continuing their long, sad history of promoting political and social issues that either have nothing to do with the auto industry or in fact can harm the environment that creates auto jobs in the private sector,” Terry Bowman, a Ford employee for nearly three decades, wrote in an email to Michigan Capital Confidential.
The UAW is responsible for the virtual destruction of Detroit and the migration of Automobile manufacturing to non-union, right to work states and right out of the country. The leadership claims they are working for their members, but the reality is different. I have little doubt that most of the UAW rank and file is fully onboard with President Trump’s plans to ship all the illegal aliens out of the country.
I have little love for unions, and have made no secret of it. In most cases, they aren’t there to help the worker, but to help themselves to the worker’s dues for their own use. They’ve also destroyed companies, costing their own members their jobs. The UAW has long since outlived it’s usefulness to anyone but the Democrat Party. At the very least, the members of the UAW should look into removing their president and get someone in there who isn’t someone who puts Americans last.
