Good day all. As we grow closer and closer to that day when President Trump is inaugurated into his second term, we are starting to see the rats deserting the ship, the SS Deep State. In this case it’s all the prosecutors who went after President Trump and his supporters.

The two federal cases brought against President Trump have collapsed under the weight of facts. The case in Georgia is in the process of imploding and the one in New York is on life support. What has many of the prosecutors running in terror is the idea that President Trump and his team might come after them. Here are the details from the Populist Times:
Federal prosecutors in Biden’s weaponized Justice System involved in Trump’s political persecution are fleeing in droves ahead of the President-elect’s inauguration, the Wall Street Journal reports. They include those involved in the prosecution of January 6 protesters and Trump’s federal prosecutions. Trump has mulled over going against people who participated in the Biden administration’s many witchhunts.

“The precedent on doing what they did, with the weaponization, using the DOJ and the FBI to go after their political opponents, that is so bad,” Trump said earlier in the year, adding that the “Pandora’s Box is open, and that means that I can do it too.”
Funny how the Democrats always think that the tables won’t be turned and that everything they do can actually be done to them, usually with a lot more efficiency and with a great deal more success.
Some attorneys involved in Trump cases have consulted various law firms, Attorney General Merrick Garland, and senior officials, and even retained lawyers anticipating defending themselves in court when Trump takes office.
“Some department lawyers on the fence about leaving have sought counsel from Attorney General Merrick Garland and other senior officials, who have encouraged them to stay on for continuity of government and for their expertise, people familiar with the discussions said,” the Journal reported.
Gee, I wonder why they think they need to protect themselves? Didn’t they follow all the proper procedures, consider the laws and the Constitution? Or did they just make stuff up and falsify evidence?

Others, including those working closely with Special Counsel Jack Smith, are reportedly busy applying for new jobs, anticipating that the incoming president will immediately fire them. Trump had promised to fire Smith within seconds after taking office.
Considering that Smith’s appointment was illegal, and I have little doubt these lawyers knew or suspected it was questionable and did nothing? Yeah, they need to be fired, and possibly disbarred as well.
“Law firms say they have seen an unprecedented flood of résumés from department lawyers looking for the exits,” the Journal reported.
I wonder how the interviews will go? In many cases, some of these lawyers would be seen as useful due to their connections in the DoJ. That looks to be rather problematical now. There is also the possibility of these same lawyers being investigated themselves, and how that could blow back on these law firms. Granted, I would bet most of these law firms are deeply entrenched with the Democrat Party, but they don’t want to be associated with someone who just might be indicted.
“Additionally, several prominent white-collar lawyers across Washington have fielded calls in recent weeks from government officials, including investigators from Smith’s office, who are concerned they could be targeted by the incoming Trump administration,” CNN reported.
White collar lawyers? I’m not to sure what that is. It sounds like people who deal with white collar crimes, such as embezzlement and other nonviolent high end illegal activities. If these lawyers were actively suppressing people’s constitutional rights and manufacturing charges, then they are going to need someone who can handle that sort of problem. Of course, I can’t see any reason for these lawyers to be seeking any sort of advice, unless they have guilty a conscious. Now why would they have one of those? It looks like IK’m not the only one wondering about that.
Trump’s chief legal defender Mike Davis chimed in:
If these Justice Department attorneys have done nothing wrong, why are they so nervous?
Because they know there’s evidence they engaged in a criminal conspiracy to violate the constitutional rights of Trump, his aides, and his supporters.
I looked 18 U.S.C. § 241. This is titled Conspiracy against rights. Looking back at the actions of the Department of Justice and all the federal Law Enforcement Agencies over the last four years, not just against President Trump, but Americans in general, yes, I think they are right to be concerned. I would also suggest that there are a few federal judges who could also be looking at criminal charges under this statute.
Like the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post noted an uptick in federal employees looking for jobs outside the civil service; “D.C. recruiting firms are seeing booming business from those looking for private-sector work.”
“There’s been such a disdain for civil servants that is not typical that everyone sort of knows why they want to leave government,” said Sarah Van Steenburg, a recruiter answering Justice Department lawyers’ calls.
And the basic response to these bureaucrats leaving? “Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.” We would also have the benefit of reducing head count in the Federal Government. When these people resign, don’t replace them with new hires. They can transfer in people from other divisions that should be on the chopping block.
The Journal notes that while presidential transitions always result in career shifts for political appointees, Trump’s return is especially affecting “career people.” This phenomenon can be attributed to the Biden administration’s politicization of federal employees to advance his party’s political agenda.
It wasn’t just Biden and his handlers, it really got going under Barack Obama. (There was some under Bill “Bubba Horndog” Clinton of course) When President Trump came in to office in 2017, he ran into a problem with many in the bureaucracy dedicated to doing everything and anything to “Get Trump!” President Trump and his team had no real idea just how much the Deep State and the Uniparty hated him.
Federal employees are expected to distinguish themselves from political appointees by remaining neutral to government policy. However, Biden blurred the lines, putting federal employees at risk of losing their jobs. Trump has promised to redesignate about 50,000 federal employees into political appointees to make the distinction clearer – and so he can fire them.
There is an old saying that a president should fire everyone he can, and a bunch that he can’t. In this case, thanks to the ideas of DOGE, we might see a few agencies and departments defunded and closed down. That will mean something the Dreaded Private Sector has been dealing with since forever. Reduction in Force. In other words, layoffs.

The fear among the Federal employees is is palpable and not just among the DoJ lawyers. Since so many of these bureaucrats are Democrats, they are terrified that they will lose their jobs once President Trump and his team come in and get down to business. Many of them are now scrubbing their Social Media accounts.
“Federal employees are scrubbing their Facebook and X accounts for any negative posts about Trump. Some, including at least one prominent official who testified in Trump’s first impeachment inquiry, are weighing putting in retirement papers, while others maneuver to transfer to seemingly safer agencies.”
That isn’t going to help. I have little doubt that there are any number of Trump supporters who have take screen shots and detailed notes showing that some bureaucrat might try to sabotage President Trump and his administration.
According to Rolling Stone, Smith and his team of prosecutors are reportedly among numerous federal employees scrubbing their private and professional communications for any content that could be subpoenaed in the case of a potential investigation.
I’m not sure, but I think that deliberately destroying incriminating information is in and of itself is a crime when you do knowing that it may be subpoenaed. I’m not a lawyer and I’m probably mistaken.

I find it interesting, especially with all the lawyers, investigators and prosecutors, just how worried they are that they might be fired and possibly arrested. It makes one think that behind all the smoke generated by conspiracy theorists regarding the weaponization of the DoJ, there may actually be some flames that aren’t yet visible. I look forward to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel’s virtual proctological examination of the Department of Justice and all the other agencies.
