Minnesota Feed Our Future fraud ensnaring elected officials?

Good day all. For the last couple of years, there has been a major fraud case being handled by the Federal court. I’ve been aware of it, thanks to Powerline Blog, but haven’t paid all that much attention to it. Recently, the legacy media has finally taken notice and the whole thing is now hitting the main stream.

One of the media targets has been the massively incompetent govno, Tampon Tim Walz. The other day, his own Department of Human Services (DHS) posted on TwitterX that they had discovered the fraud early on and tried to get Walz to do something about it. Instead, he basically shut down the investigation and went after the people reporting it. The reason for this was simple. Almost all of the people involved are Somali “Immigrants,” and going after them makes the Democrats look bad.

When I wrote up my post about that, I initially thought that most of the cases were being handled by the State Attorney General’s office. Further reading showed that this was inaccurate and that the cases were being handled by the United States Attorney’s office. Now it seems we might know the reason why. Here are the details from CNS News:

Leaked audio from a December 2021 meeting between Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and a group including now-convicted defendants in the Feeding Our Future fraud case is leading Republican lawmakers to call for further investigation.

The meeting involved Ellison and a group of business owners who claimed to represent the “Minnesota Minority Business Association.”

I did a quick search on this association and at first glance, it appears to be made up almost exclusively by Somali immigrants. As the recent court cases have been showing, this is the group of people that are being investigated, tried and convicted in one of the worst fraud cases seen in probably a century.

Members of the group told Ellison in the meeting they were being unfairly targeted by state agencies because of their race and nationality.

“This community has been behind you. We continue to stand behind you,” one group member said. “But we’re dealing with some very difficult market forces standing against us.”

Keith Ellison is a hard left Soros AG. He’s also black, and like far to many Black Liberal politicians, puts skin color over everything else. It’s not that he forgot that his job is to uphold the law, it’s that he never bothered to when it got in the way of his politics.

Weeks after the meeting, FBI agents carried out search warrants and the largest pandemic fraud case in the United States became public.

What is actually amazing is that Christopher Wray and Merrick Garland actually did their jobs. Considering their sll out lawfare assault on President Trump, I would have expected them to whitewash the case. I suspect that the actual size and how the investigations keep digging up even more corruption, that they were caught off guard and felt they had no choice but to follow the money.

The meeting audio was supposed to be used in court, says defense attorney Kenneth Udoboik, who represented Feeding Our Future founder Aimee Bock. Udoboik says he’s unaware how the audio got leaked to the American Experiment, a Minnesota-based think tank, earlier this week.

What it proves, he alleges, is that state leaders worked with Bock and Feeding Our Future up until federal arrests in early 2022.

This is interesting. I wonder what the plan is/was regarding the audio tape? It sounds like this is something the prosecution would have used, not the defense, unless the idea was to try and throw Walz and Ellison under the bus in order to get a better sentencing deal for the defendant.

Attorney General Ellison’s office declined an on-camera interview Friday

but released a written statement.

That’s a nice way to avoid answering questions Ellison wold prefer not to answer on advice of counsel.

“The attorney general regularly meets with constituents, hears their concerns in good faith, and does his best to help people who need it, which is exactly what the recording of this meeting shows,” the statement said.

Uh huh, yeah, right. Whatever you say.

The statement added that Ellison initially thought he was only meeting one other person.

“It is a shame that these fraudsters tried to exploit the attorney general’s good faith engagement, but they were not successful. Nothing happened as a result of the meeting,” the statement said.

I fully agree with this statement. Nothing certainly did happen, such as state investigations, indictments, criminal charges, trials, etc.

On Friday, Minnesota Republicans pushed back — calling for more transparency from Ellison’s office.

Yeah, good luck with that.

“We need a lot more information about what’s happened,” Rep Harry Niska, R-Ramsey, said. “In that meeting, he’s sending emails to people in his staff. We need to really understand what was happening behind the scenes.”

“We all meet with people – we don’t know who we’re meeting with at the time,” Niska said. “But the reality is within that office, there were cases that the office was involved with representing the department of education against feeding our future. It should have come up to his level.”

Oh I’m sure it did. Something like this, with fraud approaching a billion dollars and with over 70+ people now facing justice, Ellison had to know something was going on. I can’t see the Garland DoJ keeping him in the dark unless they thought they might have to charge him as well.

Ellison’s office says that while he was unaware of the implications of the December 2021 meeting with the now-convicted business owners, his comments in September 2022 that he spent “years” working to hold Feeding our Future accountable are accurate.

“I would rather the attorney general say this – ‘look, I was surprised, I didn’t know that they were involved in criminality.’ That would be the truth,” Udoboik said.

Would it be the truth? With everything that is coming out about this criminal enterprise and how certain officials appear to have not just looked the other way, but may have aided and abetted things, I’m not so sure. Still, this is something for the Department of Justice and the FBI to unravel.
