Good day all. As you are aware, the Biden Maladministration threw open the borders and millions of illegal aliens streamed into the United States. Since his return to office, President Trump’s administration has been working to clean up that mess.
The Democrats have been fighting the mass deportations of the illegal aliens and with the assistance of various COB judges, have slowed down the removal of millions of criminal aliens. There have been a number of stories, and a few posts on my humble blog, on why the Democrats are trying to protect illegals. Now a Democrat running for office has blurted out one of the reasons. Here are the details from Fox News:
A Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate from Arkansas is facing scrutiny for comments she recently made on a podcast suggesting that illegal alien workers are more valuable than their American counterparts.
“I want to talk about the fact that our immigration system is backlogged, bureaucratic and doesn’t actually help anybody, including American employers who want folks who want to follow the law,” Hallie Shoffner said on the “Free Arkansas Podcast” during an hour-long discussion about a wide spectrum of political issues.
This dimbulb, Hallie Shoffner, is running for the United States Senate against Tom Cotton. Arkansas is a fairly solid Republican state and her chances are rather poor of unseating him. Saying that illegals are worth more than American citizens isn’t going to help her case.
She continued by saying she had a discussion with a fellow farmer, who she said was a Republican, about foreign labor.
“Labor is a huge issue, especially when you don’t have a large workforce,” she said. “And every farmer will tell you, ‘yeah, at one point we did, or still do, employ undocumented immigrants.'” And it’s absolutely ridiculous that these folks are being rounded up because they’re hardworking people. They’re some of the best people we know.”
“And honestly, we’d trade five Americans just for one of them because of how hard they work,” she said.
I don’t think that farmer was talking about illegal aliens, but legal migrant aliens who come here for a limited time to work on farms, get paid a decent wage, then go home. That really isn’t an issue since the laws are being followed. Besides, migrant workers on visas are protected from employer abuse, such as not being paid or being paid far below the going rates. Illegals don’t have that and it’s not unknown for employers to “drop a dime” to ICE to get their illegal farm workers deported without paying them.
Shoffner then demanded a pathway for illegal aliens to work in the United States legally, claiming “when they’re good workers, we pay them well, they’re good workers, they spend money here [and] they have family here.”
Are their families here legally or did they come across the border sans visas as well? As to spending money, guess what? So do Americans and legal resident aliens, and they’re also paying taxes.
Cotton’s campaign accused Shoffner of implying that she has hired illegal aliens.
I’m sure she has. Someone needs to do her laundry, clean her house and be cheap to hire. Besides, Democrats have a long history of hypocrisy and thinking that the rules they force on everyone else do not apply to them.
“Hallie Shoffner’s campaign isn’t denying that she employed illegal aliens,” campaign spokesman James Arnold told Fox News Digital. “They’re also standing by Hallie Shoffner’s claim that just one illegal immigrant is more valuable than five American citizens.”
Then a criminal investigation should be opened. If it’s shown that she did break the law and knowingly, indict her, arrest her and put her commie ass on trial.
“Every Democrat running for Congress needs to answer if they agree with Hallie Shoffner’s belief that illegal aliens are worth more than Americans,” Arnold said.
I’ll be happy to answer that Senator Cotton. They do, This is why they’ve been miving heaven and earth to protect the ones currently here and to reopen the borders and continue to import millions more Democrat voters.
Shoffner once joined the chorus of left-wing calls to defund U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“I would vote to defund ICE as it exists right now,” Shoffner said in an event June. “Immigration and Customs Enforcement was created not that long ago, and it no longer serves the purpose it was originally created for.”
“I would not spend one more dime on ICE, because — not just because of the human dignity issue — but also the fact that it is now the largest law enforcement agency in the country,” she said. “It has 10 times the budget of the organization that fights child sex trafficking.”
First you sanctimonious cow, ICE, along with every other federal law enforcement agency, along with a number of state and local agencies are going after traffickers wherever they find them. More importantly, ICE and the DHS have been working overtime to find the hundreds of thousands of children that the previous administration “Lost” to those very same human traffickers.
You weren’t saying much back when the Biden maladministration was handing over children to to people with no verification of who they were, or if they were even related to the children in question. As to ICE not serving the purpose it was created for? Are you mental? Silly question, of course she is. ICE is doing exactly what it was created for.
But in a Facebook post earlier this month, the red state Democratic candidate changed her tune.
“I don’t want to defund ICE, I want to reform it,” she said.
I wonder if she has been asked what she means by “Reforming” ICE? I suspect it’s along the lines of standing back and not doing anything when waves of invading illegal aliens cross the border except to hand put pamphlets on where to sign up for welfare.
Immigration is a hotbed issue heading into the midterm elections, as it was two years ago during President Donald Trump’s campaign to occupy the White House for a second term.
President Trump said exactly what he was going to do, and he has been doing it.
The Trump administration has carried out immigration operations nationwide to arrest and deport illegal aliens, drawing blowback from Democrat politicians and activists.
The Democrats need the tens of millions of illegals to be in the United States so they can be used to cement Democrat power, basically forever. The intend to use them in the 2030 census to protect house seats in states like Illinois, New York and California. Why?
Because the Democrats have been driving the most productive people out. As it stands, it looks like California and New York, and probably a couple of other Democrat controlled states are going to lose anywhere up to 10 seats to states like Texas and Florida. If President Trump succeeds in removing all of these illegals, a number now being found on the voter roles with a few actually having voted, the Democrats will be crushed at the polls.
As it is, it’s highly unlikely that Shoffner will carry the state. Arkansas, as I mentioned earlier, is a pretty red state and Shoffner is a hard left Democrat. (are there any other kind these days?) She will move to protect Illegals and punish Americans if given the opportunity. Considering how the state of Arkansas looks, I don’t see her having that opportunity.
