Good day all. I’ve written a few times about Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, usually in a negative way, several times over the years. He is a hard left Soros D.A. and is noted for being soft on crime and threatening federal agents. His actions have become so bad that the State Supreme Court took action against him.

Krasner, of course, learned nothing from this and continued doing things that were questionable at best. One of his actions caused a Federal Judge to refer Krasner and one of his minions to the DoJ for investigation into potential perjury and obstruction of justice. Now the DoJ has taken these accusations to a Grand Jury and they have issued a few subpoenas. Here are the details from Fox News:
The Justice Department sent grand jury subpoenas to Democratic Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner’s office in recent days, Fox News has learned.
Two sources briefed on the subpoenas say they are related to potential obstruction of justice relating to the handling of cases before federal judges. The sources said the subpoenas came as a result of a federal judge referring Krasner and his top deputy to the DOJ for possible criminal investigation.
Needless to say, Krasner’s office had no comment when contacted. The DoJ also had no comment, which is to be expected. This is an ongoing case and they won’t say anything that could potentially taint it.
Reports of the subpoenas come more than a month after U.S. District Judge Paul Diamond referred Krasner and his deputy, Matthew Stiegler, to the DOJ, saying evidence uncovered in a murder conviction case could constitute false statements, perjury, obstruction of justice and conspiracy.
Judge Diamond was pretty angry over all this, which is why he referred the matter to the DoJ. What he didn’t do was flip out and throw a temper tantrum the way Ana Reyes did in her court.
Diamond also disqualified Krasner and Stiegler from the case but declined to disqualify the entire DA’s office.
As I recall, it was members of Krasner’s staff who reached out to the judge. That would explain why he didn’t disqualify everyone. From what I can tell, a lot of Krasner’s staff don’t like his policies of letting criminals go. Threatening his staff if they alerted the court to issues didn’t help matters.
The judge alleged that Krasner and Stiegler sought to pressure prosecutors into presenting a false narrative to the court and that Krasner warned of “consequences” if staff alerted the court to an internal conflict.
“I have thus reluctantly concluded that Philadelphia’s highest law enforcement official and one of his top assistants may have violated the law,” Diamond wrote.

The Fox story goes into all the details of this case, and how Krasner tried to keep the case in question, the case of Dennis Johnson, who was convicted in 2009 of killing Kenyatta Smith, in his office and out of the hands of the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office. Now it looks like Krasner’s chickens are coming home to roost, and crap all over him. I have no idea of there is enough to indict him and his minion, let alone convict him. I hope it is. It would be a fitting end to yet another Soros District Attorney.
