Ten years ago today

Good day all. Today is 10th anniversary of the attack by Al Qaeda on the United States. On this day, 3000 men, women and children were murdered by Islamic terrorists.

Since 2004 I’ve been posting my thoughts on the attack. That posting, I Remember, but no one else does, talks about what I saw and went through on that horrible day. My latest entry last year had an update on the current state of affairs. I wrote about how the Obama administration was actively working to lose the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Since then, one good piece of news came out.

United States Navy SEALS located and put a bullet into the head of Osama Bin Laden. President Obama promptly took credit for bagging that bastard but there were nagging rumors that Obama wanted to bring him in and try him in New York.

The rumors said that Attorney General Eric Holder and some of the other members of the moonbat brigade tried to stop the SEAL team from raiding the compound and instead wanted the Pakistani’s to arrest and extradite Bin Laden to the United States, and that it was Leon Panetta and Hillary Clinton, using a loophole in the orders Obama gave to go in and terminate the raghead with extreme prejudice.

I recall some of those rumors but seriously doubt it. If Holder and Obama had asked Pakistan to arrest Bin Laden, they would have made sure he was warned and escaped. If that happened Obama would have been looking at impeachment.

Other than that one bright spot, things have been sliding down hill.

Janet Napolitano, better known as Janet Incompetano ((Mark Steyn, The Jokes on us)), head of the Department of Homeland Security, has decided that Americans, especially former military, Tea Party and Republican leaning Americans are a far greater threat than Islamic terrorists. Instead of locking down the borders, this bonehead is watching other departments, (BATFE) ((Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives)) allowing guns to go to Mexican drug gangs. That cost the life of at least one Federal Agent. ((Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry))

In Iraq, all the gains we made look to be unraveling. Obama, who loves to play golf and vote “Present” rather than actually work, has all but abandoned Iraq. Where George Bush left a situation that was stabilized and starting to wind down, Obama and his team of idiots have seen violence start climbing again.

In Afghanistan, casualties have been going up without a concurrent gain towards victory. Obama and his minions have tied the hands of our troops and not allowed them to do things like call in artillery and air strikes when needed. This year, we lost a helicopter transport with 30 brave men killed. This was the worst loss of the entire war.

Obama prefers to send in drones to fire missiles at Al Qaeda and Taliban terrorists rather than put boots on the ground. He won’t do what needs to be done, which is destroying the safe havens in Pakistan. He’s afraid he might annoy the Pakistani government. My answer to both Obama and Bush? Screw the Pakistani government, we know who they support. Send in the B-52’s.

No, things are not looking up. The RIF’s are winning. Obama, the Democrat party and their fellow travelers in the Justice department as well as the ACLU are doing all they can to ensure the rise of an Islamic Caliphate. ((What is the Caliphate?))

So, rather than just re-post I Remember, I thought I would write this up first. We now bring you my annual tribute to the memories of those lost on that horrible day.

I remember, But no one else does

[Editors note: I originally posted this on the main site of Anger Central. I’ve been re-posting it every year since 2004 when the moonbats and  sympathizers started aiding the enemy]

I remember September 11, 2001. I remember the fear when I couldn’t find my sister who was traveling that day. I remember watching the first tower on fire after the first plane crashed into it. I remember when the second plane hit and understanding that we were now at war. I remember seeing the people falling from the windows of the World Trade Center rather then burn. I remember the fall of those great towers. I remember the Pentagon burning. I remember the people running from the Capitol building terrified that they were the next target.

I remember the heroes of United Flight 93, who after finding out what had happened decided to attack the terrorist hijackers and regain control of their plane. I remember the grounding of every civilian flight in the United States for the first time in history. I remember the police officer and firefighters of New York City who died trying to save others.

I remember..

How could so many have forgotten?

“Are you guys ready? Let’s roll!”

Todd Beamer, November 24, 1968 – September 11, 2001

On September 11th, 2001 the Webmaster was in the process of closing down a manufacturing plant at the place he worked at that time. He had just walked in when he found out that a plane had hit one of the towers of the World Trade Center. A television set was on and showing the news. At that point everyone thought it was some sort of accident. The Webmaster went on with his job. When he came back into the building he found out that another plane had hit the second tower. At that moment he knew that the United States was under attack, although by who was not known at that time.

The Webmaster returned to his office and told his co-workers what was happening. Needless to say a lot of work didn’t get done that day. The Webmaster then remembered that his sister was traveling and called her fiancee who worked in Boston at that time. He had not been able to reach her due to the phone lines being jammed.

The Webmaster tried to reach his sister’s office to see if they had heard anything, but was unable to get through. He then tried a former manager of his who worked in the next building. He was able to get through, but was unable to get any information. He then gave the Webmaster a number to call. The Webmaster’s sister’s employer had not heard from her but according to his sister’s schedule, she would have been on the ground and in a meeting. A few hours later she was able to contact her fiancee and let him know she was OK.

How could so many people in this country forget that 2985 men, women and children were slaughtered by Muslim fanatics? How could so many people refuse to understand that there are large groups and whole nations out there that want to destroy everything we take for granted? Why do they think that we can “negotiate” with these thugs? There is no negotiating with them. They have only one demand. Surrender totally to there view of the world.

We have not seen anything like this since World War 2. In fact we have the worst of  the Nazi’s and the Imperial Japanese. The Nazi’s wanted to exterminate entire groups of people because of their religious beliefs and the Japanese would willingly kill themselves if they could take their enemies with them. (That was the United States in case you didn’t bother to learn anything in school)

The Islamofascists would like nothing better then to reopen Dachau, Auschwitz, Treblinka and the other death camps and wipe out the Jews. After they have wiped Israel off the map they would like nothing better then to impose their version of Islam on the rest of the world.

Do we really want to allow people who have no regard for human life, including their own, to have nuclear weapons? Do you really doubt they would use them if they had them? The only decision these people will make is how many nuclear weapons will they need to obliterate Israel and how many more they will need to destroy cities in the U.S. They have already decided to use them as soon as they feel they have enough weapons.

They don’t care that Israel will retaliate, or that the U.S. has the ability to turn the entire Middle East into radioactive glass. As far as they are concerned, if they die after murdering Jews, Christians and anyone else they consider an infidel they will have earned a ticket straight to Paradise.

We would like to know how so many supposedly intelligent and educated people can so delude themselves into believing that we can talk with these fanatics? Don’t they understand that to the Islamofascists this is a holy war and that to die in it is to get a free pass to their version of Heaven?

Allow us to answer this. No, they don’t. They simply can’t conceive that anyone would die for their religious beliefs in this day and age. They think that fighting over religion ended centuries ago. Well, in the Western world it pretty much did. All the major Western religions have undergone some form of reformation and have evolved as society has changed. Fighting over religion just isn’t done in the Modern world.

And there is the problem. The Islamofascists don’t live in the modern world. In fact they reject it outright, and want to drag the entire planet back into the dark ages. They don’t care how many people they kill to get the world they want. In fact unless you subscribe to their view of the world, you aren’t even human.

This is a religious war. Wars over religion have historically been the worst types. All the normal rules of conduct go out the window. To die fighting the infidels, apostates or heathens is to guarantee a place for you in Heaven, Paradise, Elysian fields, etc.

The sooner people wake and understand this the better. We didn’t ask for this war. We have tried to avoid it. There are people that refuse to believe that this is a war. What is it going to take? Mushroom clouds over Manhattan? Radioactive ash in Los Angeles?

Think about this as we remember those who dies on September 11, 2001.

***addendum***

Since I first wrote this, many things have happened, none for the good. First, Barack Hussein Obama was elected president of the United States. He has since done everything he can to aid our enemies while looking like he’s actually trying to fight Radical Islamic Terrorists.

Right off the bat he starts by changing the name from the Global War on Terror to “Overseas Contingency Operation.” ((Washington Post:The End of the Global War on Terror)) Granted the original name was pretty bad, but Overseas Contingency Operation? Please!

Then we had his choice to head up the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, who has announced that the United States will no longer refer to terrorism as terrorism, but instead call then “Man Caused Disasters.” ((Der Spiegal Online))

Since Obama took office we have had several attacks in the United States and several near misses that were prevented only by shear luck. The worst by far was the Fort Hood attack when Major Malik Nadal Hasan opened fire on soldiers being processed for travel overseas. 12 soldiers and a security guard were killed and 31 others wounded. Only the fact that two brave police officer happened to be on site, and rather then wait for backup, engaged Hasan and put several bullets into him as he was reloading. ((Ralph Peters, New York Post, Ft Hood’s 9/11))

Recently, it was announced that a mosque is going to be built near the site of the world Trade Center. This outrage, rather then being opposed by Obama, was actually welcomed by him. The mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, showed his utter contempt for the memory of those murdered by Islamic terrorists by telling people to shut up. This from a man who would be killed on site in certain parts of the world because he is Jewish. Bloomberg’s contempt for “The Little People” is well known, but he and his elitist friends have once again shown their true colors.

Appease, assist and ignore the enemy.

That worked real well back in the 1930’s. ((Nevile Chamberlain’s policy of Appeasement))

Our military has given their all to defeat the RIF’s ((Radical Islamic Fundamentalists)), and done a remarkably good job. Unfortunately they have been hamstrung of late by rules of engagement that prevented them from doing everything they can to crush the enemy.

To quote a sign hand written on a wall, “America is not at war, The Marine Corp. is at war. America is at the mall.” ((Multiple sources of the quote and picture))

We have forgotten, and we will suffer for it eventually. We may lose a city to an Islamic nuclear weapon, ((Islam, Terror and a Second Nuclear Age)), or suffer a massive biological attack. In either case millions will die and our response then will be massive, overwhelming and completely disproportional. ((Option Zero by John Ringo))

I remember and I will NEVER Forget OR forgive!

  1. hmm, interesting. My two posts on 9/11 were rated thumbs down by someone. Probably a RIF who thinks the Untied States should leave the Middle East.

I tend to agree. However, the method of our withdrawal that I prefer might be somewhat…upsetting…to some.

Pull out and glass the place!

For those of you who don’t know what that means, consider this. The Middel East has lots of sand. Sand is used to make glass. Glass requires extreme heat, hot enough to melt. Nuclear weapons generate a lot of heat.
