Good day all. Now that Summer is over, it looks like we’re about to move straight into winter. The temperatures, which were in the mid-80’s last week look like they will be dropping into the upper 60’s to low 70’s next week.
We’ve also seen reports that the winter is going to be even colder and snowier than last year, and last year was just this side of the Ice Age. With all this, the supplicants of the Church of Global Warming Climate Change, (Algore be praised! Algore Akbar!), is doubling down on their persecution of anyone who doesn’t follow their faith. A group of Moonbats from various universities are demanding that King Putt and his Lord High Executioner, Loretta Lynch, use the RICO statutes to prosecute the unbelievers. Here are the details from the Daily Caller:
The science on global warming is settled, so settled that 20 climate scientists are asking President Barack Obama to prosecute people who disagree with them on the science behind man-made global warming.
Scientists from several universities and research centers even asked Obama to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) to prosecute groups that “have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change, as a means to forestall America’s response to climate change.”
You just have to love these left-wing thugs. Like their brethren in the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century, their first thought when confronted with people who disagree with them is to have them arrested.
RICO was a law designed to take down organized crime syndicates, but scientists now want it to be used against scientists, activists and organizations that voice their disagreement with the so-called “consensus” on global warming. The scientists repeated claims made by environmentalists that groups, especially those with ties to fossil fuels, have engaged in a misinformation campaign to confuse the public on global warming. “The actions of these organizations have been extensively documented in peer-reviewed academic research and in recent books,” the scientists wrote.
These lunatics are the same sort of people who ran organizations like the NKVD, KGB, Gestapo, or the Kempeitai. Anyone who might pose a threat to the regime, or thought in an incorrect manner was deemed an enemy of the state and at best, imprisoned. Usually they were tortured and then killed. This is the same mindset that these clowns and their political operatives are bringing to the table.
But these riled up academics aren’t the first to suggest using RICO to go after global warming skeptics. The idea was first put forward by Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, who argued using RICO was effective at taking down the tobacco industry.
“In 1999, the Justice Department filed a civil RICO lawsuit against the major tobacco companies… alleging that the companies ‘engaged in and executed — and continue to engage in and execute — a massive 50-year scheme to defraud the public, including consumers of cigarettes, in violation of RICO,’” Whitehouse wrote in the Washington Post in May.
I recall the witch hunt against the tobacco industry, and that’s exactly what it was. I don’t recall the specifics, although I do know that internal documents from the industry seemed to indicate that they were trying to hide evidence that smoking was bad for you. Of course, by the 80’s at the latest, everyone knew smoking was bad for you. This was nothing more than a money grab by the government and the private lawyers. And just to clear the air, I don’t and never have smoked or used tobacco. (Filthy habit)
Now, there is a big difference here between the RICO case against tobacco and the arguments regarding Global Warming Climate Change. To begin with, the so called “science” is anything but settled. We all know that smoking is bad for you, but as for this nonsense called “Climate Change?” Well, the climate is ALWAYS changing. What it isn’t doing is getting any warmer. However, when you start throwing logic in the faces of true believers, well, they get really nasty.
“We strongly endorse Senator Whitehouse’s call for a RICO investigation,” the scientists wrote to Obama. “The methods of these organizations are quite similar to those used earlier by the tobacco industry. A RICO investigation (1999 to 2006) played an important role in stopping the tobacco industry from continuing to deceive the American people about the dangers of smoking.”
No, it isn’t. If anything, it’s the Global Warmists” who are deceiving people. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, (Dumbass – Rhode Island), is typical of the Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrats. Anyone who doesn’t toe the line is to be destroyed, preferably killed.
“If corporations in the fossil fuel industry and their supporters are guilty of the misdeeds that have been documented in books and journal articles, it is imperative that these misdeeds be stopped as soon as possible so that America and the world can get on with the critically important business of finding effective ways to restabilize the Earth’s climate, before even more lasting damage is done,” the scientists added.
Restablize the climate? Perhaps these morons have forgotten that about, oh, 40 years ago, they were all talking about the next ice age occurring RIGHT THIS INSTANT, and that we had to do something or the northern hemisphere would be under a mile of ice. Now the issue is these swine are destroying anyone who disagrees with them and using the power of the government to do it.
This year has been a trying one for global warming skeptics. Earlier this year, Democratic lawmakers began an investigation into scientists who disagreed with the White House’s stance on global warming. Many of these skeptical scientists were often cited by those critical of regulations to curb greenhouse gas emissions.
Arizona Democratic Rep. Raul Grijalva went after universities employing these researchers, which resulted in one expert being forced to get out of the field of climate research altogether.
“I am simply not initiating any new research or papers on the topic and I have ring-fenced my slowly diminishing blogging on the subject,” Dr. Roger Pielke Jr. of the University of Colorado wrote on his blog.
“Congressman Grijalva doesn’t have any evidence of any wrongdoing on my part, either ethical or legal, because there is none,” Pielke wrote. “He simply disagrees with the substance of my testimony – which is based on peer-reviewed research funded by the US taxpayer, and which also happens to be the consensus of the IPCC (despite Holdren’s incorrect views).”
And now you see just how evil the Church of Global Warming Climate Change is. Now we have a number of so called “scientists” demanding that anyone who disagrees with their theory be jailed. Frankly, people like these are no different than the “Nazi “scientists” who experimented on Jews. These people are dangerous. I would prefer that they be taken aside and counseled on how to defend their theories, but they are fanatics. It’s time that they experience what they are dishing out to others.
