Good day all. Over the last few weeks, we have seen the University of Missouri and Yale University moving to suppress free speech as well as create a full blown segregated campus. This is in response to a bunch of spoiled brats who are offended by everything and expect someone to do something about it.
The latest bunch of Neo-Nazi’s, (And I’m using that term because it fits per the infamous Godwin’s Law protocols), are also close to the Anger Central offices. In this case it’s the campus of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Here are the details from Campus Reform:
Students at Amherst College are demanding that the school’s president accede to a list of demands that would effectively eliminate free speech on campus. The demands, which were presented in person Thursday evening to college President Biddy Martin, are outlined in a letter published by Amherst Soul, which also notes that the students expect action to be initiated within “24-48 hours” and completed by Wednesday, November 18 (roughly six days after they were first issued). If those deadlines are not met, they warn, “we will organize and respond in a radical manner, through civil disobedience.”
The Fascists have actually moved the link to a new web site called “Amherst Uprising.”
The ultimatum grew out of a sit-in held earlier in the day as part of the “Stand with Mizzou” movement, during which members of a variety of student organizations on campus collaborated to identify the actions they believe must be taken in response to the “legacy of oppression” at Amherst, notably through the creation of “safe spaces” and the criminalization of “offensive” sentiments.
Do you know what this reminds me of? Pretty much every totalitarian political movement of the last 120 years.
“We have begun this movement, Amherst Uprising, in an effort to change the status quo for a more just and inclusive environment within our campus,” the letter states. “We demand that Amherst become a leader in the fight to promote a better social climate towards individuals who have been systematically oppressed.”

And it gets better.
First, the students demand that both President Martin and Board of Trustees Chairman Cullen Murphy issue statements apologizing to those impacted by “injustices including but not limited to our institutional legacy of white supremacy, colonialism, anti-black racism, anti-Latinx [sic] racism, anti-Native American racism, anti-Native/indigenous racism, anti-Asian racism, anti-Middle Eastern racism, heterosexism, cis-sexism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, ableism, mental health stigma, and classism.”
Are they even aware that some of those “ism’s” are absolutely nonsense? Of course not. These people are idiots. Idiots they are, they seem to have figured out that some people might not be to happy with their ideas of “Newspeak.”
Anticipating a negative reaction to their letter, the students also insist that the campus police department “must issue a statement of protection and defense from any form of violence, threats, or retaliation of any kind resulting from this movement.”
In other words, they want to be protected from others who might “take offense” at their plans to suppress free speech and beat the ever living crap out of them.
More specifically, they want President Martin to denounce the actions of students who displayed “All Lives Matter” and “Free Speech” posters, and to warn the student body that in the future, “racially insensitive” speech would merit disciplinary action.
These precious snowflakes are utterly clueless. The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, is a taxpayer funded institution. (And frankly, these clods should be institutionalized) If they were to actually attempt to outright suppress a students speech, the lawsuits would be epic, and Umass Amherst would lose big time.
Not content merely to purge the school of opinions with which they disagree, the students also demand that they be given time off from class and that the school’s mascot be expunged.
“Dean Epstein must ask faculty to excuse all students from all 5 College classes, work shifts, and assignments from November 12th, 2015 to November 13th, 2015 given their organization of and attendance at the Sit-In,” reads the eighth item on the list. A few bullet points further down, they add, “Dean Epstein must encourage faculty to provide a space for students to discuss this week’s events during class time.”
How about NO! This bunch of lazy, good for nothing jerks should be told flat out that if they don’t go to class, they will fail. If they fail enough, and they are well on their way to being complete failures in life, then they can and should be expelled.
I’ve looked up the President of Umass Animal, Carolyn “Biddy” Martin, and her picture doesn’t give me any warm and fuzzies with regards to having a spine. Reading through her Wikipedia page pretty much confirms my expectations that she will promptly roll over and cave in to this pack of “not yet jackbooted thugs.”
The only thing that will stop her from drinking the Kool-Ade will be a lawyer telling her that if she does cave in to these goons, the university will be hit with multiple and massive lawsuits. While Massachusetts courts are not noted for things like constitutional scholarship, the lawsuits, since the school is also getting federal cash, will probably start in a Federal court, and those judges, most of the time, will land on those who suppress speech like an old building.
The correct way to deal with these totalitarian wannabe’s is simple. Tell them that they have the right to speak their minds. They do NOT have the right not to be offended and they most certainly DO NOT have the right to suppress the speech of people saying things they don’t like. We had to put up with the Neo-Nazi’s marching through Skokie, Illinois, you whiny wimps need to put up with things you don’t like, just like the rest of us.
Once you get out into the real world, you’re going to find that no one is going to give a damn if you are offended or not. In some cases, when you try to pull this garbage in the real world, you’re going to get your heads kicked in. Here’s something I picked up from Powerline Blog regarding trigger warnings and all the other crap you’re pushing.
The only “Trigger Warning” any university should be posting:
“Warning: Although this university values and encourages civil expression and respectful personal behavior, you may at any moment, and without further notice, encounter ideas, expressions and images that are mistaken, upsetting, dangerous, prejudiced, insulting or deeply offensive. We call this education.”

This shit going on is precisely why I was alarmed when my significant other’s grandson said he was going back to college. We shouldn’t have to be alarmed when someone wants to further their education. There are jobs that need to be done that require a degree. what the heck is going to happen when these a$$hats are the ones we are depending on to do these jobs.
What makes the Snowflakes think they’re ever going to get a job more involved in “Would you like a double shot?”
