NeverTrumpers trying to force a brokered Convention

Good day all. With the news of the success of the Brexit yesterday, this story seems to have slipped under the radar. A lawsuit in Virginia has been filed to force the unbinding of the delegates who are required to vote for Trump on the first ballot.

The-Good-Idea-Fairy-3

The hate the NeverTrumpers have for Donald Trump, along with the utter contempt they have for the voters who chose him, has reached a new high in low. They are so opposed to Donald Trump that they would rather see Hillary Clinton win the election. Now they are trying to find ways to “Unbind” the Republican delegates and they are hoping the courts will help them. Here are the details from Fox News:

The revived push to derail Donald Trump’s all-but-certain nomination as Republican Party standard-bearer took a turn into the courts Friday as a Virginia delegate to this summer’s national convention filed suit challenging a state law that commits him to backing the presumptive nominee.

The Stupid

Carroll B. Correll, who served as a campaign co-chairman for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in Virginia’s 10th congressional district, is seeking class-action status for his suit on behalf of the commonwealth’s 49 Republican delegates and 110 Democratic delegates.

eye roll

Nice of him to try and help out Bernie Sanders. So what does this senior member of the RINO’s For Hillary say in his complaint?

The complaint states:

Correll believes that Donald Trump is unfit to serve as President of the United States and that voting for Donald Trump would therefore violate Correll’s conscience. Accordingly, Correll will not vote for Donald Trump on the first ballot, or any other ballot, at the national convention.”

So let me see if I understand this. Since Correll’s choice lost to Donald Trump, he’s going to hold his breath until he gets what he wants? How about this? If he can’t vote for Trump on the first ballot, then he can tender his resignation as a delegate and the Virginia GOP can select an alternate? Of course, that would require that Correll have a sense of honor. Since he’s perfectly willing to see Hillary Clinton win, as long as Trump loses, it’s obvious to me that he is nothing more then a slimy, good for nothing garden slug.

The Trump campaign has long dismissed such efforts to peel away delegates from his tally, especially now that he has more than enough to clinch the nomination.

Donald Trump

Yes, but the RINO’s for Hillary refuse to give up. They’re like World War 2 Japanese holdouts who are certain that the Empire will return victorious.

Those efforts seemed to die down last month but have since resurfaced as hundreds of delegates reportedly are exploring ways to buck the results of their state primaries and caucuses to vote for someone other than Trump.

In other words, they intend to ignore the voters and put another failure on the ballot as the GOP(e) nominee? Someone like Jeb “$150 million for 4 Delegates” Bush?

One option is to change party rules to include a “conscience clause” that would allow delegates to vote for whomever they want.

Yep, they want to ignore the will of the voters. How typical of the Republican Elite. If they base won’t toe the line and vote for who the Establishment has selected, then they will simply use other means to get their way.

At issue in the Virginia delegate’s case is a state law that says delegates are bound to vote on the first ballot for the candidate receiving the most votes in the primary “unless that candidate releases those delegates and alternates from such vote.”

And that is what they mean by a “Bound Delegate.” On the first ballot, they are required to vote for the recipient of the most votes. In this case, it was Donald Trump.

Correll claims the law violates his First Amendment rights. He’s seeking an injunction to exempt him from criminal penalties under Virginia law or possible retaliatory litigation by Trump for backing another candidate on the first ballot.

I’m not a lawyer, and I do support Donald Trump and have since last January. However, I don’t see this as a violation of his 1st Amendment rights. When he agreed to be a delegate, he also agreed to vote on the first ballot for whoever won the primary. What Correll is demonstrating is that he is a sore loser and will use whatever means he can to get his way.

This has been the Standard Operating Procedure for the Country Club Establishment Republicans. For decades they have outright lied to both the GOP base, claiming that they were “True Reagan Conservatives.” Nothing could be further from the truth. These scum are party of the Beltway unity Party whose sole goal is to protect the membership as well as enrich them. This is why they wanted Jeb Bush to be the nominee, and failing him, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker or Chris Christie. They last thing they wanted was someone who they couldn’t control and who wasn’t a firm believer in George Herbert Walker Bush’s “New World Order.”

The ideas of the RINO Establishment types were Free Trade, globalization and an ever expanding central government. (Just expanding slower than the Progressive Liberal Democrats wanted) At first, people thought this might not be a bad idea, since the Soviet Union collapsed. However, what people saw and experienced was the so called free trade agreements freely shipping their jobs out of the United States, throwing open the borders to bring in cheap labor, again at the expense of Americans, and the Federal government taking powers it was never meant to have.

Finally, critical mass was achieved and the Republican base took action starting with the rise of the Tea Party. A number of RINO members of the Unity Party were defeated in their primaries. The response? The Internal Revenue Service deliberately, and illegally, moved to suppress these groups. Under Obama, with the passive, (and sometimes active), aid of the Establishment Republicans, Border security was all but ended and a flood tide of criminal aliens began invading the United States.

This led to Donald Trump getting into the Republican primary race. The GOP(e) at first belittled him and ignored him. The problem was, the people who really matter, the voters, listened to him and they liked what they heard. By the time the GOP(e) realized what was happening, Trump was crushing all their preferred candidates, and eventually secured the nomination.

Trump-Great

Almost immediately, the RINO’s for Hillary movement started with the Weak-kneed Standard’s editor, Bill Kristol desperately trying to find someone, anyone they could run as an independent candidate. The time limit for that has passed, and now the RINO’s for Hillary are back to trying to force Trump out at the convention.

headdesk

What these blind fools can’t understand is, if they were to succeed and force Trump off the ballot, the base would revolt. When I saw revolt, I’m not talking about just staying home on election day. I really think that these faithless delegates and the GOP(e), if they successfully stole the election from Trump, would face physical attacks. It would definitely mean a Clinton administration and the end of the Republican party.

Trump is a symptom of what is happening not just in the United States, but throughout the Western World. Yesterday we had the successful vote for Britain to leave the EU. Now other EU countries are looking into pulling out as well and it has the European Elites in a blind panic.

brexit

There is no difference here with the RINO’s for Hillary. They are in a blind panic that the peons and serfs have decided that enough’s enough and have decided that Donald Trump is the one man who can fix the problems that the RINO’s and Democrats have caused. Now they are trying yet another Hail Mary pass and hoping a judge will “Do the right thing” and help them steal the election. If this judge has any semblance of honesty and honor, he or she will either reject this suit or schedule it to begin August 1st.
