Good day all. The Southern Poverty Law Center, or SPLC was once an organization that actually cared about the civil rights of people. That was a very long time ago. Now they are a hard left organization that calls any group or individual who doesn’t toe their progressive line a racist.
Over the years, the SPLC liked to release lists of groups or people that they accused of everything under the sun. They would attack pro-life groups, the NRA, groups that opposed open borders, basically anyone who was a politically conservative. Their, what amounted libel, attacks have had repercussions. In 2012, a group the SPLC designated a “Hate Group” because they support traditional family values, had their offices attacked by a gunman.
That organization, the Family Research Council is a nonprofit Christian group that backs families and is opposed to the LGBT groups. They are not violent and they obey the laws. This put them on the SPLC’s infamous “Hate Map” and led to the armed assault by a Moonbat nutcase. Several people were injured and the moonbat is now in prison.
One of the issues that has come up is how the SPLC is used by law enforcement and private industry as a guide to potential criminal activities by real “Right wing” nutcases. The problem here is, the SPLC has a political agenda and that is the outright suppression of any dissent to their politics. Now Congress wants to know why the FBI is dealing with the SPLC. Here are the details from Fox News:
A Republican lawmaker is demanding some answers from the FBI after he says the bureau admitted to working with the controversial Southern Poverty Law Center. In a letter obtained by Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., says the FBI has “admitted to working with the SPLC,” in a development he describes as “surprising and worrisome.”
“This is surprising and worrisome, as the SPLC is known to use its platform in order to denigrate and disparage certain groups by labeling them ‘hate groups,’” he said.
He said that groups such as the Christian Family Research Council (FRC) have been labeled a hate group, while members of “Antifa” — a broad collaboration of left-leaning, anti-fascist activists — have not been given such a label. He added that Floyd Corkins, who shot an FRC employee, later said he targeted the group as the SPLC had labeled it an antigay group.
“The SPLC’s conflation of mainstream political advocacy groups with legitimate hate groups and domestic terror groups is absurd, frequently indiscriminate and dangerous,” he said.
The SPLC basically has no problem with the violent left. This is one reason why they won’t list Antifa as a dangerous, violent hate group. They see them as kindred spirits. They prefer to protect them. This is the organization that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been using as a source of information on so called “Hate groups.” Now those chickens are coming home to roost.
While details on the alleged relationship were not clear, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” reported that the FBI had described the group as “a well-known, established and credible” organization in 2009, and that the agency has briefed the FBI on alleged domestic terror threats in the U.S.
2009 huh? I wonder, who was the attorney general then? Don’t prompt me, I’ll get it, I know! It was Eric Holder, the most corrupt AG this country has ever had. No other AG has been held in contempt of Congress in the entire 200+ year history of the United States. I think the phrase here is “Why am I not surprised?”
Gaetz’s letter requests more information on the FBI’s alleged ties to the group, including how much weight the FBI gives to SPLC designations of “hate groups” and what information, if any, the bureau provides to the group. The FBI confirmed to “Tucker Carlson Tonight” in June that it “continues to have a relationship with the SPLC.”
Ok, I can see that scumbag Comey keeping the SPLC on the payroll, but why is the current director, Christopher A. Wray still dealing with that pack of lying scum?
This week, when pressed on that relationship, the FBI had this to say: “For many years, the FBI has engaged with various organizations, both formally and informally. Such outreach is a critical component of the FBI’s mission, and we welcome information from these organizations on any possible violations of civil rights, hate crimes or other potential crimes or threats. We do, however, evaluate our relationships with these groups as necessary to ensure the appropriateness of any interaction.”
Now there is a dodge if I ever saw one. The article doesn’t specify if Director Wray is the one who testified. Somehow, I doubt he had no knowledge of this “arrangement.” The SPLC has been all over the new as their victims have begun suing them. And what happened to Jeff Sessions? Did he recuse himself from this as well?
A Department of Justice spokesman said that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had ordered that any such relationships be re-evaluated.
“The attorney general has directed the FBI to re-evaluate their relationships with groups like this to ensure the FBI does not partner with any group that discriminates,” a spokesperson said in a statement.
I believe the phrase for this is “A day late and a dollar short.” The SPLC has been questionable for quite a while. As I mentioned earlier, they are getting sued by the people and groups they’ve accused of being “Hate groups” and recently paid out over $3 million dollars to a man after accusing him of being militantly anti-muslim. The problem with the man they accused? He is also Muslim!

This group needs to be destroyed, root and branch. Not through violence, that’s what they do by basically protecting violent groups who support their agenda. No, they need to be destroyed in a court of law and the court of public opinion. The only problem is, you have companies like Amazon and I think Google who are also using them and backing their accusations. They need to sever themselves asap, otherwise, when the SPLC finally goes down, it may very well take those tech titans with them. As for the FBI? They need to open an investigation of the Southern Poverty Law Center to determine if they are a threat to the safety of Americans.
