Good day all. Once again, New York demonstrates just how evil they are. The New York State department of health shut down a 7 year old’s lemonade stand.
Kids running lemonade stands are as American as apple pie and baseball, so of course, Progressives are against them. New York is one of the states run, (Into the ground), by the CommuNazi party and letting kids be kids is evilbaddoubleplusnotgood, and running a lemonade stand will not be allowed to happen. Here are the details from Fox News:
A 7-year-old lemonade stand operator has been put out of business by the New York State Health Department. The shutdown occurred after vendors at a nearby county fair complained he was undercutting their price, according to the New York Post.
Excuse me? A bunch of vendors were afraid of a little bit of competition from a 7 year old?
The young entrepreneur, Brendan Mulvaney, was selling lemonade, water and Sno-cones from the porch of his family’s home, which just so happens to be right outside the Saratoga County Fair in upstate New York.
Oh the horror! This had to be stopped as soon as possible and the state of New York was more than happy to oblige.
A woman wearing a Health Department T-shirt turned up Friday and shut it down because the family didn’t have a permit.
Officials have gone back and forth on the issue, first saying the Health Department doesn’t regulate lemonade stands and even issuing an apology.
“We are working to better understand the situation but in the meantime want to assure the community that DOH does not issue permits for or oversee lemonade stands”, spokeswoman Jill Montag told the Post.
Wait for it…
Twenty-four hours later, in an about-face, a permit was required after all.
And there you have it. A pack of officious bureaucratic oafs in love with themselves decided it was easier to pick on a 7 year old who flat out doesn’t understand the garbage being shoveled at him. The permit costs $30/year, and I suspect the boy would be lucky to clear $10 before the cost of the permit. Here’s the real reason he was shut down.
The youngster was charging 75 cents a cup for pre-mixed lemonade, while fresh-squeezed at the fair was going for about $7.
So he was selling something, probably inferior, but sufficient for his customers, for far less then the “Professionals” were. It sounds like that kid had customers lined up along the street and the stands in the fair were utterly vacant.
Yeah, no, I don’t think so. This is just another case of a CommuNazi controlled state destroying the dreams of a child. Somehow, I think his parents might have just decided to vote Republican and will be wearing MAGA hats from now on. Come to think of it, Perhaps President Trump should visit the lad and buy a glass of lemonade from him.
