Nancy Pelosi. She is the gift that keeps on giving for the CommuNazis, like Herpes. Proving that she is certifiably stupid, Pelosi has announced that she wants to renew Obama’s “War on Coal” and kill the entire industry.

Pelosi seems to have forgotten that her BFF, (Provided she can remember her), Felonia von Pantsuit made this same promise during the 2016 Presidential campaign. It probably cost her at least 2 states. But, San Fran Nan, not one to let reality stand in her way, has decided to double down on stupid. Here are the details from Fox News:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., is renewing President Barack Obama’s so-called “war on coal” by backing a radical initiative to shut down more than a third of U.S. coal plants by 2020 — a line of attack that spectacularly backfired for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Under President Obama, we went on to pass the Waxman-Markey American Clean Energy and Security Act in the House. But we were stopped in the Senate by the coal industry,” Pelosi said in remarks Thursday to the Global Climate Action Summit in California, according to a video obtained by the NTK Network — an outlet backed by the right-wing America Rising PAC.
“For this and other reasons, I’m so grateful to [Former New York City Mayor] Michael Bloomberg’s ‘Beyond Coal’ initiative working with the Sierra Club. It is so essential.”
Michael “Bloomies” Bloomberg has proven himself to be a blooming idiot. He has no interest in anything except absolute totalitarian power by any means necessary. His antics as Mayor of New York, particularly his contempt for the Constitution nearly ended up with him being arrested. (His anti-2nd Amendment activities blew several federal investigations by the BATFE resulting in flat out threats of indictments if he didn’t stop)
The “Beyond Coal” website describes coal as “an outdated, backward, and dirty 19th-century technology.”
“The Beyond Coal campaign’s main objective is to replace dirty coal with clean energy by mobilizing grassroots activists in local communities to advocate for the retirement of old and outdated coal plants and to prevent new coal plants from being built,” the website says.
I don’t even need to visit their site to guess what these moonbats want. It involves rationing, windmills and solar power even though the technology is not even close to being able to replace the loss of the plants they want to shut down. As for nuclear power?
It advocates retiring a third of the nation’s coal plants by 2020, replacing most retired coal plants with “clean energy solutions such as wind, solar, and geothermal” and “keeping coal in the ground in places like Appalachia and Wyoming’s Powder River Basin.”

It’s 2018. Do they have any idea how long it will take just to make the parts for that rapid an expansion? Never mind actually constructing the wind and solar farms. I doubt they even took into consideration that most people hate windmills. They are ugly, noisy and hey, guess what? When the wind isn’t blowing, the power is not being generated.
It’s the latest in a series of such statements for Pelosi, who hailed her own efforts to kill off coal initiatives last month.
“We had to fight some Democrats. Senator Byrd had a coal powered plant fueling the Capitol, you know I was speaker and that’s gonna go,” she said. With all due respect to West Virginia, we’re not gonna have a coal power plant floating around.”
And I think this, once it gets out, is going to cost the CommuNazis a couple more seats they might have won. I can just see the local CommuNazi Party in coal producing states cringing at the rantings of San Fran Nan. As much as I despised Byrd, he would have quickly put Pelosi in her place even though she is in the House and he was a Senator.
An aggressive stance on coal hurt 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, who had to apologize in West Virginia when angry residents confronted her about remarks she made about putting coal companies out of business.
“Because we’re going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies outta business,” she bragged at a Democratic debate, before adding that “we don’t want to forget those people.”
Felonia quickly realized she had once again put her foot in her mouth and, in the patented Clinton manner, promptly lied about it and blamed everyone else.
“I don’t know how to explain it other than what I said was totally out of context from what I meant because I have been talking about helping Coal Country for a very long time,” Clinton later told an unemployed coal miner.
Felonia’s idea of “A very long time” depends on how may zeros are on her bribery checks. Granted, Coal is not as economically viable as it once was, but it is still a major portion of America’s energy production system. The problem with old, dirty plants can be laid right at the doorstep of the Progressives running the EPA.
Every time a power company wanted to make a few improvements, as their budgets allowed, The EPA would come in and say “Do it all or we will fine you into oblivion!” The upshot? Other than basic maintenance, the coal plants remained as they were. Eventually, Coal will fade away, or be re-purposed for other uses, however, it should be done via the free enterprise system, not by order of some tyrant in Washington who couldn’t care less about the damage they will do with their orders.
