That President Trump give up on the border wall. Good day all, Now that the government is shut down, Upchuck Schumer is making demands of President Trump. His primary demand is that President Trump forego the border wall and securing the borders.
One of Schumer’s problems is his belief that he actually matters. He doesn’t seem to remember that come January, not only will he not be the Senate Majority leader, his party actually lost seats in the Senate. Of course, Upchuck has never been one to let reality stand in his way. Here are the details from Fox News:
Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called on President Trump to “abandon the wall” Saturday if he wants to reopen the government, saying Trump does not have the votes in the Senate to get it funded – hours after the government shut down over an impasse over funding for Trump’s signature 2016 campaign promise.
I think Schumer may need to check his math. Yes, there are a few RINO’s who will not support securing the borders, but they’ve been growing fewer in number each election. With the new crop coming in, there’s a fair chance they will have the numbers. Of course, we do have the problem with the House. However, showing the American people that you hate and loathe them and prefer to protect criminals is not a winning hand. And we also have the private GoFundMe page raising the funds to build the Trump Wall privately.
“It will never pass the Senate, not today, not next week, not next year. So President Trump, if you want to open the government, you must abandon the wall, plain and simple,” Schumer said on the Senate floor.
Vice President Mike Pence and Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney arrived at the Capitol Saturday afternoon to meet with Schumer to continue negotiations for an end to the stalemate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said that “productive discussions are continuing.”
“When those negotiations produce a solution that is acceptable to all parties — which means 60 votes in the Senate, a majority in the House, and a presidential signature — at that point, we will take it up here on the Senate floor,” he said.
Productive negotiations? How about you tell that little scumbag that “there will be a vote and that, oh, by the way, the filibuster is over. You can thank Harry Reid Schmucky.” Of course the majority of Americans agree that we need to control the border. It’s only the CommuNazis and their fellow Travelers in the GOP(e) Uniparty that want them thrown open. Then we have Nancy Pelosi.
In a letter addressed to fellow Democratic colleagues on Saturday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., wrote that “Last night, Republicans shut down the government.” She added that barring any developments, making “progress to end the Trump Shutdown in the next several days” was not anticipated.
Until President Trump can publicly commit to a bipartisan resolution, there will be no agreement before January when the new House Democratic Majority will swiftly pass legislation to re-open government,” Pelosi wrote, before expressing her wishes for a happy holiday.
In other words. Until President Trump does what we tell him to do, like all the previous Republican presidents, we’re going to hold our breathe and stomp our feet. The senile old cow still doesn’t understand that the rules have changed. She thinks that since the CommuNazis took control of the house, the American people have utterly rejected President Trump, American Prosperity, freedom and Making America Great Again. Keep thinking that you old senile moonbat.
McConnell accused Democrats of backing away from past support for border security, and said they were rejecting a “reasonable request” for the $5 billion in funding.
“They’ve refused to meet President Trump halfway and provide even one-fifth of the resources for the border they were willing to provide just a few months ago,” he said on the Senate floor.
Listen you idiot, get it through your thick Uniparty head that the CommuNazis are not your friends and do not have the best interests of this country at heart. They care only for one thing. Absolute power, and they will do anything to get it. As for President Trump, he’s told McCockless how this can be fixed and fixed quickly.
“Mitch, use the Nuclear Option and get it done! Our Country is counting on you!” he tweeted on Friday.
President Trump, unlike the cowards of the GOP(e), isn’t running away from this. He knows that this is important and that the American people, outside of the CommuNazi controlled cities, agree with him. It’s the Democrats that refuse to listen to the voters.
“We’re going to have a shutdown, there’s nothing we can do about that because we need the Democrats to give us their votes,” he said. “Call it a Democrat shutdown, call it whatever you want, but we need their help to get this approved.”
Sadly, this is true. The problem here is, the new crop of Democrats are full blown Communists. They are backing the actions of Antifa, with their attacks on anyone who stands with Trump and the Constitution. The tactics the Democrats are using are right out of the Nazi and Communist playbooks. Hence their new name, CommuNazis.
On Saturday, Trump held a lunch at the White House to discuss border security with staff and top conservatives including Reps. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah. The inclusion of some of the more hardline voices on immigration could likely serve to harden Trump’s resolve against backing down on the wall.
Good! Seriously, it’s long past time that someone do to the Democrats what they’ve been doing to the Republicans for decades, and now we have a president who hits back when hit, and hits twice as hard.
Congress has a little bit of wiggle room for movement as it has a weekend, followed by Christmas Eve — for which Trump has given federal workers a day off — and then Christmas Day. So that means that the partial shutdown will not fully bite until Wednesday.
Frankly, most people don’t care if the government is shut down. Most Americans consider the government to be the biggest threat to this country, and I’m one of them. This is the biggest fear of the Deep State Beltway swamp dwellers. That the government is shut down and no one notices. If this goes on for weeks or months, and the world doesn’t end, then people will ask “What the hell are we paying for?
Barack Obama, the Great Mistake, when he had to deal with a shutdown did it in such a way as to maximize the pain for the Average American. The Republicans, as always, caved in. Why do they give up so easily? For them it’s all about keeping their seats. If they lose a few junior members, well, as long as the “Important people” are still there, all is right with the world.
Interestingly, the new crop of Republicans don’t hold that view. They should have increased their numbers in the House, however, so many RINO’s decided they so hated President Trump and the people who elected him, that it just wasn’t worth staying in office. Far better to become a lobbyist and make real money. And these idiots wonder why the country is fractured? Stay the course Mr. President. No wall, no government.
