Good day all. As I write this, Hurricane Dorian is bearing down on the East Coast. This is a very dangerous storm, currently a Category 4. The exact path of the storm is still variable, with Florida, Georgia and the Carolina’s in it’s sights.
Then we have the blowhards of the Democrat Party. The storm hasn’t even made landfall yet, (And could possibly swing back out to sea, unlikely as that is), and they are already blaming President Trump for his response to it. Here are the details from Fox News:
As Florida stared down a massive hurricane that could soon engulf the state, a political storm is already brewing over President Trump’s response.
Democrats railed against Trump even before the storm makes landfall over the state — accusing him of playing racial politics and blasting his decision to redirect funding from the nation’s primary disaster relief agency toward border enforcement operations. The comments set the stage for what could be a politically explosive environment over the next several days regarding the federal response to the storm.
The article has a number of nitwits on the CommuNazi side accusing President Trump of everything under the sun. The morons even brought up Puerto Rico, which was a mistake on their part. The Trump administration moved in as soon as they could with billions in relief and supplies. What happened to all of that was criminal, and it was all on the Democrats.
One of the biggest gaffes of that disaster was not from President Trump, it was from the Mayor of San Juan. She screamed on national Fake News that the Trump Administration was doing nothing. However, she did it in front of a huge stockpile of supplies that had just arrived.
Since then, most of the Democrat office holders in Puerto Rico have been charged criminally with stealing all the relief supplies instead of actually handing them out. If I recall correctly, the corruption was so bad, the military took over and ignored the civilian officials on the island. They’re still finding stockpiles that the Democrats had hidden instead of handing out to people.
This hasn’t stopped the Democrats from blaming President Trump for moving funds from FEMA to defending our borders. Now he did this a while ago, and only because the Democrats, traitors that they are, refuse to stop the invasion of illegals. Just the opposite in fact, they want open borders and the end of American sovereignty. (Sanity and patriotism have long since departed the Democrat party)
They even complain when President Trump decided it was more important to remain in the United States to monitor the storm, and be ready to respond as needed. Originally, he had planned on visiting Poland to attend a WW 2 memorial.
Trump, meanwhile, also took heat after announcing on Thursday that he would stay in the United States to monitor the hurricane rather than attending a World War II memorial in Poland.
“Our highest priority is the safety and security of the American people in the path of the hurricane,” Trump said.
In other words, President Trump is doing his job as the President of the United States and doing everything he can to protect the American People. Of course, the Moonbats took issue with this.
But on Friday, CNN anchor Jon Berman noted that Trump canceled the Poland trip as the storm’s trajectory shifted from Puerto Rico to the Sunshine State. Joe Lockhart, the former White House press secretary for President Clinton, responded by arguing that Trump harbored racial bias and generally discounted Puerto Ricans.
“There’s no doubt that the president doesn’t view Puerto Rico as part of the United States. He doesn’t view people who didn’t vote for him as important. And he doesn’t view people who aren’t white as important as everyone else. That’s just — it’s that simple,” Lockhart said.
In case you hadn’t noticed, the storm has changed direction and missed Puerto Rico, therefor there was no reason to make changes to his schedule AT THAT TIME. But never let it be said that sufferers of Trump Derangement Syndrome ever let the facts interfere with their delusions
Meanwhile, President Trump is already taking what proactive measures he can.
Trump on Friday approved an emergency declaration for Florida and “ordered federal assistance to supplement state, tribal and local response efforts due to the emergency conditions resulting from Hurricane Dorian,” the White House said.
In a video posted on Twitter Friday afternoon, Trump said the hurricane is “looking like it could be an absolute monster.
“We’re ready. We have the best people in the world ready and they’re gonna help you. We’re shipping food, we’re shipping water, but it may be that you’re going to evacuate,” Trump said. “We’re gonna see what happens, we’re waiting. It does seem almost certain that it’s hitting dead center and that’s not good. The winds seem to be building at a tremendous rate. It looks like the winds are going to be unbelievably high. We’re all ready. And hopefully, we’ll get lucky. But it looks to me like this time, it’s heading in one direction.”
The president added that “all indications are it’s going to hit very hard and it’s going to be very big. Somebody said bigger, or at least as big as [Hurricane] Andrew [in 1992] and if you remember Andrew from many years ago, that was not good. So just be aware and be safe and God bless you.”
So, President Trump has started the ball rolling. He’s warning people people to prepare, leave if they need to and be safe. He’s working with the governors of the states that could be affected regardless of politics. In other words, unlike far to many of his predecessors, he’s doing his job.
This differs from the previous president, Barack “Don’t interrupt my golf” Obama or George “Heck of a job there Brownie” Bush. This is yet another reason the Democrats are going ballistic. They know that President Trump doesn’t do the usual things, he does what needs to be done, politics be damned. He puts Americans first. The Democrats, and the Uniparty GOP(e) don’t even consider Americans.
For those of you in the path of Dorian, get out if you can, dig in and be safe if you can’t. For the Democrats, Progressives, Liberals and other never Trumpers, why don’t you head down and have a nice hurricane party on the beach? I’m sure you believe it won’t be much of a storm, just something to throw at President Trump. I’m sure you will be perfectly safe, if a little wet.
