Good day all. News just came out that Kalifornistan Senator Kamala “Kneepads” Harris has thrown in the towel on her run for the White House.
Harris’s poll numbers have been cratering since the last debate when Tulsi Gabbard, the least insane Democrat running, torpedoed Harris and blew her out of the water. She went from something like 20-30% support to slightly more then 5% in a matter of weeks. Now she has announced her withdrawel from the race. Here are some of the details from Politico:
Kamala Harris dropped her presidential campaign on Tuesday after months of failing to lift her candidacy from the bottom of the field — a premature ending for a California senator once heralded as a top-tier contender for the nomination.
Harris told aides of her intentions in an all-staff call. A person familiar with the call said she sounded distraught. While Harris had qualified for the December debate in her home state, she was running dangerously low on cash — lacking the resources to air TV ads in Iowa — and her staff was gripped by long-running internal turmoil.
That turmoil was something I had in my queue to write about, so I may as well do a short version here. A story came out regarding the resignation of one of Kneepad’s top aides and how she blasted the campaign for incompetence and ineptitude. Here are some of those details from Fox News:
A top aide to Kamala Harris gave a damning assessment of the California senator’s struggling campaign in her resignation letter, declaring that she has never seen an organization “treat its staff so poorly” and accused the campaign of encouraging people to move across states — only to lay them off without notice.
“This is my third presidential campaign and I have never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly,” Kelly Mehlenbacher, then the state operations director for Harris’ campaign, said in the letter obtained by The New York Times. “While I still believe that Senator Harris is the strongest candidate to win in the General Election in 2020, I no longer have confidence in our campaign or its leadership.”
When you say the “Leadership” you mean the candidate, in this case, Kneepads Harris. Here are some of the things that enraged Ms. Mehlenbacher.
She went on to criticize the campaign in blistering terms for pushing staffers to move to Baltimore, only to let them go without notice.
“It is not acceptable to me that we encouraged people to move from Washington, DC to Baltimore only to lay them off with no notice, with no plan for the campaign, and without thoughtful consideration of the personal consequences to them or the consequences that their absence would have on the remaining staff,” the letter says.
Ouch! First, what the heck were these staffers thinking about when they agreed to move? Didn’t they consider that the campaign would end at some point? Who am I kidding? These are moonbats. Thinking is something that’s far to difficult for them to do. I can see why Kelly Mehlenbacher nuked the bridges she had just crossed. Returning to the Politico story,
Still, the news came as a shock to some of her biggest supporters. Just as Harris was announcing the news internally, a super PAC had cleared more than $1 million in TV ads in Iowa to boost her struggling campaign. The ad, which argued she was the best-equipped candidate to take on Trump, was canceled.
I wonder if the laws regarding false advertising cover political campaigns?
“Eleven months ago at the launch of our campaign in Oakland I told you all: ‘I am not perfect.’ But I will always speak with decency and moral clarity and treat all people with dignity and respect. I will lead with integrity. I will speak the truth. And that’s what I have tried to do every day of this campaign. So here’s the truth today,” Harris wrote in a note to supporters. “I’ve taken stock and looked at this from every angle, and over the last few days have come to one of the hardest decisions of my life. My campaign for president simply doesn’t have the financial resources we need to continue.”
Translation: “I’m an inept Moonbat who slept her way to success. Sadly, there is no one left I can perform fellatio on to save my collapsing campaign. I’ve run out of other people’s money and can no longer continue.”
I’m sure the usual suspects in the Democrat Propaganda Corps, (CNN, MSNDNC, etc), will be commenting heavily on this tonight. Me? I’m going to relax and saver yet another barking mad moonbat going down in flames.
