Is a brokered Democrat convention possible?

Good day all. Now that we have begun the new year, it’s time to start thinking about the coming silly season. By that, I mean the primaries. With President Trump being the incumbent for the Republican party, the GOP primaries really won’t matter much except for lower level races.

For the Democrats, it’s another story, They have had, at one point, up to 5 gazillion candidates. They’ve since winnowed it down to a dozen or so complete and total closet cases and losers. However, none of them have “Taken off” with the rank and file Democrats. This has led to people wondering if a brokered convention could happen for the Democrats. Here are the details from Fox News:

With less than six weeks to go until the Iowa caucuses kick off the presidential nominating calendar, there’s no clear front-runner in the Democratic race.

And that’s fueling speculation America could see something not witnessed in more than a half-century – a convention that goes beyond a first ballot, known in the history books as a brokered or contested convention.

It could happen,” said the Democratic National Committee’s Kathy Sullivan.

There are a number of variables this time around for the Democrats. First and foremost, you don’t have Felonia von Pantsuit and her minions stealing primary elections. Second, you have two billionaires trying to buy the election. Third, you have a former Vice President who has a habit of pawing women and adolescent girls, exposing himself to female members of his security detail and is, to put it bluntly, dumber then a box of rocks.

This time around, a number of conditions could lead to no candidate holding a clear majority of delegates heading into the July Democratic convention in Milwaukee. This could trigger a titillating scenario where so-called “superdelegates” — party elders and insiders who recently were stripped of their power in the wake of the 2016 primary battle – would be activated, and free to boost the candidates of their choice toward the nomination.

There is a reason the Democrat superdelegates were unsupered. They were bought and paid for by Felonia von Pantsuit. If it hadn’t been for them, Comrade Bernie Sanders would have won the nomination and probably lost 48 states. However, “Reactivating” them may not get them the desired results.

The “Party Leaders” would like to put Slow Joe the Groper on the ticket as the nominee. I don’t think they see him as being able to win, and considering how stupid he is and how corrupt he’s turning out to be, he would be a disaster as president. (He’s even said he would serve only one term) The alternatives are even worse, with each of the top tier candidates all promising to end the United States as a free Republic and instituting a socialist workers paradise not unlike the one in Venezuela. Then we have “The billionaires.”

The billionaires. Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and environmental advocate Tom Steyer are pouring hundreds of millions of their own dollars into their campaigns. If either of them are still in the hunt by April, their own money will keep them going, even as small-dollar donations fuel their competitors.

Bloomberg has a political track record, and honestly, it won’t play well with most of the Democrat Base. As mayor, he showed himself to be a Napoleon wannabe and wasn’t overly interested in things like personal freedom, liberty or the Constitution of the United States. Tom Steyer is even worse, promising to Make America as bright as North Korea at night.

It will be interesting to see who ends up with the Nomination. None of the candidates are very well liked, and most are despised by everyone in Flyover country. (AKA Trumplandia) Considering just how out of touch the Democrat elites are with America, and how they are all promising to basically destroy the economy, this is a race that is Trump’s to lose, and in order to do that, he would have to defect to Russia. I don’t see that happening.
