Good day all. Nationwide, the Democrats have been moving further and further towards authoritarianism, Fascism and Totalitarianism. In Virginia, we see the newly sworn in Democrat Majority moving to strip away all the individual rights and freedoms of the citizens of the Commonwealth, not just the 2nd Amendment rights.
Other Democrat controlled states are even worse, with New York and Kalifornistan single party states in all but name. Now we have Connecticut considering a special state police force designed so suppress any conservative ideas. Here are the details from the Washington Times:
Connecticut Democrats in the state’s Senate have proposed creating a new state police department that would be tasked with specifically combating “far-right” extremism. The proposal, which was unveiled Wednesday as part of the state Senate Democrats’ “A Just Connecticut” agenda, would publicly fund a new state police department that specializes in investigating “far-right extremist groups and individuals,” according to a news release.
I wonder if they have a name for this proposed organization? I don’t think Gestapo is available. Perhaps NKVD? I know, KGB! Wait! I think Stasi is available now.
Senate President Pro Tem Martin Looney said the proposal is aimed at combating “potential” hate crimes but stressed that his caucus has no intention of persecuting people for their political beliefs, the Hartford Courant reported.
“Unfortunately, people who entertain hateful beliefs … are protected as long as [those beliefs] don’t result in hate-crime actions. That’s what we’re talking about,” Mr. Looney told reporters Wednesday. “We want to be more aggressive in enforcing our laws and identifying likely sources of potential domestic terrorism acts against religious institutions and ethnic institutions.”
Considering that most of this garbage is coming from the left, (Antifa anyone?), and that Senator Looneytoons didn’t think to mention them, I have no doubt at all this group would be used to go after anyone the Democratik CommuNazis want shut down.
Senate Minority Leader Len Fasano, a Republican, said there is “strong bipartisan support against any type of terrorism” but he took issue with the proposal only mentioning right-wing extremism.
“When they put a right-wing label on extremism, they do that to elicit a political response,” he said, the Hartford Courant reported.
PJ Media noted that federal authorities in recent years classified activities by antifa, the left-wing militant movement, as “domestic terrorist violence.”
Which they are. They’re also cowards in that they never pull their shenanigans anywhere people carry guns. There was supposed to be a large Antifa turnout in Richmond, allegedly supporting the 2nd Amendment, (Which the police were rightfully concerned about, considering the heavily armed Pro 2nd Amendment crowd and Antifa’s rather “colorful” past. They never showed up)
This stupid idea should be strangled in it’s crib. The very idea of it should cause both sides of the aisle in the Connecticut Senate to demand not just Looneytunes removal as President Pro Tem, but from the legislature as well. If this ever went into effect, it would take no time at all before they went after a Tea party like group that was planning a lawful protest. This idiocy is what causes violence, it doesn’t stop it.
