Good day all. Recently, a number of states and cities started using drones to enforce their draconian, unconstitutional orders for people to stay inside and away from each other. In what passes in their minds for wisdom, they’ve been using drones to harass people.
There have been a few issues with this moronic idea, however, let’s start with those localities that think turning drones on Americans is a good idea. Here are the details from Fox News:
As authorities enforce social distancing in the battle against coronavirus, don’t be surprised if you hear reminders coming from the sky. Police departments in Florida and New Jersey have drones with pre-recorded warnings that will be deployed if crowds are not following COVID-19 guidelines.
“There’s never been a more important time in history for drone technology to play a more important role and this crisis is a prime example of where the technology can benefit,” drone expert and White Fox Defense Strategic Advisor Brett Velicovich said Thursday on “Fox & Friends.”
In New Jersey, the Elizabeth Police Department said Tuesday on Facebook that new models are enforcing social distancing.
“These drones will be around the city with an automated message from the mayor telling you to STOP gathering, disperse and go home,” police said.
First things first. Please think safety first when you start shooting these things down. Always be aware that whatever you use to blow a drone out of the sky, usually a shotgun, whatever doesn’t get stuck in the drone is going to come down somewhere. We do not want any people harmed or private property damaged.
And now to a few details on these drones and where these totalitarian idiots bought them. It seems that these drones are from the People’s Republic of China, and no one has bothered to actually vet the systems to determine if they’re secure, or if their sending data back to the MSS. Here are those details from Fox News:
Drones being used around the country to enforce coronavirus lockdowns were donated by a company with ties to the Chinese government, raising concerns that the nation many blame for allowing the virus to become a pandemic has sneaked a powerful espionage tool into the skies above its economic rival.
Drones from Da Jiang Innovations (DJI) have gone to 43 law enforcement agencies in 22 states to help ensure social distancing rules. In New Jersey, for example, theChinese-made drones are being used to spy on citizens where patrol cars can’t reach.
“Should people be concerned? Yes. Everyone should always be concerned,” Brett Velicovich, former Army intelligence worker and author of “Drone Warrior,” told Fox News. “You can never trust China.”
Of course, the manufacturer denies that they would do anything untoward.
The company denies any ulterior motives, but others, including drone experts, lawmakers and watchdog groups, say it’s a slippery slope and that the bad outweighs the good in this case.
Adam Lisberg, a spokesman for DJI Technology, disagrees.
“Some people are trying to score ideological points by discouraging the use of important equipment and tools that save lives and protect American first responders,” he told Fox News on Monday.
And if you believe this, I have a few bridges you might be interested, and some nice swampland in Florida that I think is just what you’re looking for. Now drones in police hands do have legitimate uses in law enforcement hands. For search and rescue, they’re incredibly useful, and can, if needed, bring small amounts of supplies and communications to a person in need.
In the case of criminal activity, they can replace a helicopter when chasing down a bad guy. However, for what these fascist scum are using them for, they should be blown out of the sky. Which brings us to the potential issue of security. These drones have cameras on them. Who knows what they might see during their use, and where those images may be going. How can we be sure that a drone won’t be commandeered by the PRC Military or intelligence services and used in way the police never anticipated?
No, what I think should happen is President Trump should order every single one of these Chinese drones grounded and disabled on National Security grounds. In the meantime, it is both your civic and patriotic duty to use these drones when they appear to harass you for target practice.
