Good day all. New York has been hit hard by the China Virus, with most of the causes landing right at the doorstep of the city and state governments. I’ve written about the the stupid moves made by Governor Cuomo, but really haven’t mentioned the other major moron in New York politics, Mayor Bill de Blasio.
I have written about that idiot in the past, but his ineptitude has been shining brightly since the outbreak of the Wuhan Flu. Recently, the Nazi wannabe lived down to that description when he threatened to round up Jews because they weren’t obeying his diktats. (At least he didn’t order them to sew yellow Stars of David on their clothes)
De Blasio drew criticism from both ends of the political spectrum this week when he singled out the “Jewish community” in a series of tweets where he spoke about how a funeral in the city had to be dispersed due to lack of social distancing.
“My message to the Jewish community, and all communities, is this simple: the time for warnings has passed,” he said in one tweet. “I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups. This is about stopping this disease and saving lives. Period.”
That not only blew up in Dumbbell de Blasio’s face, it went nuclear. The police Union flat out refused to enforce the order and both sides of the political aisle hammered this jerk.
Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, said on Twitter that “generalizing against the whole population is outrageous especially when so many are scapegoating Jews.”
Dumbbell de Blasio quickly tried walking back the statement, and did so by making yet another stupid pronouncement, how long it would take to end the shutdown.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio put the forecast for the Big Apple’s full reopen at “a few months away, at minimum.”
De Blasio made the comments during an appearance on WNYC’s The Brian Lehrer Show on Friday. He was asked by a Brooklyn bar owner what New York City could do to help small businesses struggling with the city’s health restrictions.
“I’ll have more to say on that soon, on other ways we can help small businesses to get through to the point where we can really start at reopening, which obviously is a few months away at minimum,” de Blasio responded.
De Blasio could not care less about small businesses in New York City. He is a flat out Communist and thinks that everything should be owned by the Supreme Soviet, with himself in charge. I don’t believe he has any intention of letting businesses open, and if he does, he will tell the business how to operate.
The mayor said that before a full reopening, the city would be looking into plans that might include allowing limited space at restaurants and bars and could factor in outdoor seating.
“There’s a lot of ideas out there we’re working on right now,” de Blasio said.
De Blasio is, like so many of his ilk, paying absolutely no attention to how fed up people have become over this whole debacle. As time passes, people are coming to the conclusion that shutting down the United States was, among other things, an incredibly stupid idea.
The comments come as anti-lockdown protests have broken out in states across the country. A Thursday protest in Michigan flooded into the state capital, with activists, many not wearing masks nor practicing federal social distancing guidelines, entering the building and demanding access to the House floor.
Dumbbell de Blasio, after botching the initial response, and pretty much everything else, probably considered this to be his “9/11” and that he would outperform then mayor Rudy Giuliani. Instead, he has finally pissed off enough people that businesses and citizens may just start ignoring whatever he wants. Normally I would say he would be out after the next election, however he is term limited and isn’t as rich as the previous tyrant, Michael Bloomberg. He won’t be able to buy a third term. Instead, he will be remembered as yet another in a long list of incompetent mayors of New York City.
