Good day all. As we enter the 9th month of the Great Panicdemic of 2020, we are still suffering from the lockdown of the economy by the Governors of most of the states. Other nations that also did this are also suffering, in many cases even worse then we are. Now the World Health Organization, (A wholly owned subsidiary of the Chinese Communist Party), has announced that the lock-downs need to come to an end.
When the lockdown started, it was first claimed to give time to hospitals to prepare for the massive influx of plague victims. When that didn’t happen, it was said that we needed to “Bend the curve of infections down,” also to keep from overwhelming hospitals. When that also failed to materialize, the tyrants running most of the states decided to keep things locked down to “Reduce the spread” of the Wuhan Flu. Now the World health Organization has changed it’s recommendations…again. Here are the details from The Washington Examiner:
The World Health Organization’s special envoy on COVID-19 urged world leaders this week to stop “using lockdowns as your primary control method.”
“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Dr. David Nabarro said to The Spectator’s Andrew Neil. “The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”
As we have since learned, unless you have an utterly corrupt or incompetent governor, (Andrew “Flaming” Cuomo, Phil Murphy, “Wretched” Gretchen Whitmer, Tom Wolf, Gavin Newsom), not only did we not even come close to maxing out the hospitals, many are in dire financial straits because they have been prevented from accepting regular patients for non-emergency treatments. There is another reason the WHO is repudiating their original lockdown recommendations. Poverty and starvation.
Nabarro went on to point out several of the negative consequences lockdowns have caused across the world, including devastating tourism industries and increased hunger and poverty.
“Just look at what’s happened to the tourism industry in the Caribbean, for example, or in the Pacific because people aren’t taking their holidays,” he said. “Look what’s happened to smallholder farmers all over the world. … Look what’s happening to poverty levels. It seems that we may well have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition.”
One of the major problems with the lock-downs was the massive disruptions to the supply chains around the world. If we opened everything up tomorrow, it would take the better part of a year to recover from the damage done by the incompetence and stupidity of both the so called “Experts” and the politicians. Frankly, many of them need to be removed from office, both by the election process, and in a few cases, by indictment and criminal prosecutions. In any event, the who reason to continue the lockdown has basically collapsed. I think we will see the formal declaration of an end to the “Great Panicdemic of 2020 to be made the day after the Presidential Election.
