Good day all. Now that the whole scheme to panic America into surrendering their constitutional rights is falling apart, many states are ending their use of emergency powers. (Or in some cases, having them stripped away by the courts) There are a couple of exceptions to this. Covno Gruesome Gavin Newsom has no intention of giving up his powers.
Newsom is one of the worst of the Progressive Totalitarian Govnos when it came to suppressing the rights of the people in Kalifornistan. His actions were so bad that he is now going to face a recall election and, with a bit of luck, find himself thrown out of office. This isn’t stopping the tyrannical moonbat. He has announced he will not rescind his emergency orders. Here are the details from the New York Post:
California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom said Friday that he will not rescind his coronavirus state of emergency order on June 15 — when the Golden State is scheduled to be fully reopened.
“This disease has not been extinguished. It’s not vanished. It’s not taking the summer months off,” Newsom said at an event where he drew 15 winners of $50,000 lottery prizes as part of an effort to encourage residents to get vaccinated.
State officials say Newsom’s announcement does not affect the reopening timetable. However, it does leave open the possibility that the governor, who is facing a recall election in the fall, will reimpose restrictions if he deems it necessary.
You know he will “Deem it necessary,” and if possible, he will use this to cancel the recall election. Of course, he isn’t going to admit that is his goal.
“The state of emergency ensures that the state can continue to respond quickly to evolving conditions as the pandemic persists,” Newsom’s office told the Los Angeles Times in a statement. “The governor will end the state of emergency once conditions no longer warrant an emergency response. While the state of emergency won’t end on June 15, we look forward to fully reopening the economy and retiring the blueprint as greater numbers of Californians are vaccinated.”
Needless to say, the few Republicans are buying what Numbnuts is selling.
“If Newsom believes the state is safe enough to reopen, then it’s safe for people to be able to make decisions for themselves without his arbitrary and capricious rules,” said state Senate Minority Leader Scott Wilk. “I believe it is time for him to hang up his crown and restore our democracy. In California, we don’t grow bananas, so there’s no need for a banana republic.”
“Other states have been safely open for months, but Newsom refuses to follow the science. It’s time to recall him,” tweeted former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, who is one of the GOP candidates in the recall election.
It’s time to impeach, convict and then arrest that tyrant. Other states, such as Florida and Texas have fully opened up and they are seeing new cases of the Wuhan Genetically engineered Flu going down.
Republicans have proposed legislation that would strip Newsom of his emergency powers, but it has little chance of passing due to Democrats holding a supermajority in both legislative chambers.
That is a problem in a One Party State. All the normal checks and balances are gone.
Meanwhile, California’s Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board voted Thursday to require workers to wear masks when in the office unless everyone has been vaccinated against the coronavirus.
I see someone hasn’t been reading the Fauci emails. Masks are worthless for what they are trying to do, This is just another grab for absolute power by bureaucrats and the ruling elite.
Newsom did not say Friday whether he would uphold or overturn the rule, which takes effect the same day as the planned reopening.
Uphold the rule? He’s probably going to double down on it and mandate masks everywhere including the home. Newsom is a typical Democrat Governor, in the same mold as Andrew Flaming Cuomo, Phil Murphy, Wretched Gretchen Whitmer and Tom Wolf. The Constitution is “Above their pay grades” and basically has no meaning to them. It’s time to remove all of these tyrants, by whatever lawful means necessary.

After I wrote this, Numbnuts announced he was rolling back the restrictions. He’s trying to save his phony baloney job, now that he is facing a recall election.
