Good day all. Last year, when he was running for President, Representative Eric Swalwell (D-Beijing) stated that that he would nuke American gun owners if they didn’t surrender their guns. Now it seems that the Fake President, Dementia Joe is taking advice from Swalwell.
Dementia Joe has never liked the 2nd Amendment. (Actually, he’s not a fan of any part of the Constitution). He also knows less then nothing about firearms and his “advice” to people on protecting themselves, if actually followed, would lead to felony charges.
Wednesday, June 23rd, the drooling idiot held a press announcement, (He doesn’t do news conferences, he just announces what’s on his note cards), regarding the increasing crime rates. As usual, his answer to this is to punish law abiding Americans by confiscating their guns, while doing nothing about the actual criminals. His channeling of Swalwell was in regards to Americans using their guns to overthrow his maladministration. Here are the details from American Military News:
During a Wednesday press conference announcing his new gun crime prevention efforts, President Joe Biden said the Second Amendment has always had limitations, and those who think they need weapons to overthrow a tyrannical government would need F-15 fighter jets and nuclear weapons.
Biden said, “If you wanted or if you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons. The point is that there has always been the ability to limit — rationally limit the type of weapon that can be owned and who can own it.”
“The Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own. You couldn’t buy a cannon,” Biden said. “Those who say the ‘blood of patriots,’ you know, and all the stuff about how we’re going to have to move against the government. Well, the tree of liberty is not watered with the blood of patriots.”
Biden’s comments appeared to paraphrase a quote from Thomas Jefferson, who said, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.”
And, as usual, he got it wrong and doesn’t understand the meaning of the phrase.
As Biden argued that the Second Amendment has always allowed for limitations, he claimed that from the day the amendment was passed, “You couldn’t buy a cannon.”
And once again, he is dead wrong. People could and did buy and own cannons. In fact, if you want to, you can buy a fully operational cannon today. They also owned warships. People tended to buy the best weapons they could afford, as the British discovered on their retreat from Lexington and Concord. They were using smooth bore “Brown Bess” muskets, and a lot of the colonists were using rifled muskets, generally referred to today as “Kentucky Rifles. They shot the finest army in the world to pieces.
Biden previously made the claim that individuals could not own cannons around the time period the Second Amendment was passed. In May 2020, the fact-checking resource PolitiFact rated Biden’s claims about owning cannons “false” and noted instances of private ownership of cannons during the time period, including by American privateers who operated privately-owned vessels with privately-owned cannons to attack other nations’ ships for profit.
Well how about that? A fact checker actually accurately checking facts. Normally these leftards will support nonsense like that spouted by the Senile Pedophile. Next, the Idiot demonstrates once again that he is both senile and utterly ignorant of what he’s talking about.
During his Wednesday remarks, Biden also claimed most “responsible gun owners” see no justification in owning firearm magazines that can hold 100 rounds.
“Talk to most responsible gun owners and hunters. They’ll tell you there’s no possible justification for having 100 rounds in a magazine of a gun,” he said. “Like I’ve said before: What do you think, the deer are wearing Kevlar vests?”
There are no 100 round box magazines outside of a couple of “One Offs” someone made as a curiosity. Now there were 100 round drum magazines made for the old Thompson submachinegun, but they were never popular. Why? Do you have any idea how much 100 rounds of .45 ACP cartridges weigh? Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons has done a YouTube video on why drum magazines are not used by the military.
We also see how Dementia Joe, like all the Progressive Totalitarian gun grabbers thinks that the 2nd Amendment is meant to deal with hunting. It isn’t of course. It’s meant to provide the citizens with the weapons they need to defend themselves and their country from attack, be it from Indians, Criminals foreign invaders or their own government.
Biden then said, “Responsible gun owners will tell you that there are too many people today who are able to buy a gun but shouldn’t be able to buy a gun.”
No actually, they don’t. Granted, we do not want actual criminals or crazy people to be able to get weapons, but the fact is, they do. (The crazy people are few, thankfully, and many are on prescribed mind altering medications when they go bonkers) Criminals do not go into gun store to buy guns. They steal them or they buy them on the black market.
Biden’s remarks came the same day his administration announced five new task forces to stop gun trafficking and threatened to revoke the licenses of gun dealers that disobey federal gun control orders, including those in “Second Amendment “sanctuary states with legislation to nullify federal gun laws.
Oh that fool really is out of touch with reality. Threatening gun dealers will blow up in their faces. Threatening states that will uphold the Constitution, especially the 2nd Amendment, is a good way to spark off something no one wants. Perhaps, after the drooling fool has finished his oatmeal and stopped ogling 8 year girls as they cross their legs, someone might want to brief his retardness on what happened at the Bundy Ranch.
That was when a couple of thousand citizens armed to the teeth showed up to stop an illegal action by federal agents. In the end, the Feds suddenly pulled up stakes when they were discovered destroying the Bundy’s property illegally, and the “Militia” appeared to start assembling to go in and put a stop to it.
Now as the Fake President, Dementia Joe does have the codes to launch the Nuclear Strike on American Gun owners that both he and Swalwell have stated they would do. Getting anyone in the nuclear forces to actually obey that order is another thing. If Dementia Joe were to actually issue orders to crash doors and start confiscations, that could be seen as proof of his mental unfitness. (Not that we need any of course)
Dementia Joe is going to do everything he can to strip away the 2nd Amendment Rights of the people. However, the people have spoken, and they have spoken with their wallets. In case that empty headed buffoon hasn’t noticed, guns and ammunition are a bit difficult to buy. Not because of any government actions, but due to millions of first time buyers deciding that they can’t rely on the government and now want to have the means to defend themselves. Good luck ordering them to turn in their guns.
