President Dementia begs oil companies, “Cut your prices, please?”

Good day all. Since Dementia Joe was installed into the Oval Office, oil prices have been climbing. They are currently hitting highs not seen since the last time a Democrat was in the White House. (Funny that, isn’t it?)

Under the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, oil prices not only dropped, but the United States became oil and energy independent for the first time in decades. One of President Dementia’s first acts was to “Fix that” and put a stop to everything that President Trump did to aid in oil exploration and recovery. Now Bumbles Dementia is begging oil companies to cut their prices. Here are the details from Reuters:

The White House has been speaking with U.S. oil and gas producers in recent days about helping to bring down rising fuel costs, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

Considering it was the actions of the maladministration that caused the issues in the first place, why do they think that the oil companies can do much about it? They are forced to work within the restrictions the idiots in Washington shoved down their throats.

Energy costs are rising worldwide, in some cases leading to shortages in major economies like China and India. In the United States, the average retail cost of a gallon of gas is at a seven-year high, and winter fuel costs are expected to surge, according to the U.S. Energy Department. Oil-and-gas production remains below the nation’s peak reached in 2019.

That’s what happens when you kill the economy with a useless lockdown and then shut down oil and gas exploration.

We are closely monitoring the cost of oil and the cost of gas Americans are paying at the pump. And we are using every tool at our disposal to address anti-competitive practices in U.S. and global energy markets to ensure reliable and stable energy markets,” a White House official said.

Oh I feel so reassured now. They are monitoring the costs to Americans. Well now, I can stop worrying about it.

Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday that she is not aware of any contact with oil and gas companies “around this particular issue.”

Frankly, she isn’t aware of very much. True, she does, at least, know what day it is, which is more than we can say for President Bumbles Dementia.

U.S. crude oil recently hit $80 a barrel for the first time in seven years, as the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and their allies known as OPEC+ restrict output. The White House has discussed rising prices with top OPEC producer Saudi Arabia in recent weeks.

Gee, who was in the White House 7 years ago? Don’t tell me, I’ll remember.

U.S. oil production has been slow to rebound from 2020, when output dropped during the coronavirus outbreak. Production hit a record of nearly 13 million barrels per day (bpd) in late 2019, but the U.S. Energy Department said Wednesday that output will only average 11 million bpd in 2021, rising to 11.7 million bpd in 2022.

Now, who was President in 2019? It’s on the tip of my tongue. Don’t tell me, I’ll figure it out.

Natural gas prices are up sharply this year, the result of supply shortages and stronger-than-expected demand in Europe and Asia.

That is going to hurt me personally, although my gas company does allow you to lock in a set price for the winter months. Usually it doesn’t work out for me, especially when we have a very competent president who understands how the markets work, instead of an idiot who only wants to grope little girls and sniff their hair.

U.S. shale producers, who are responsible for the boom in crude oil output in the last 10 years, have been less willing to drill for more oil after years of weak financial performance, and have instead focused on cutting spending to boost returns for investors.

That isn’t entirely accurate. There have been some major technological breakthroughs that lower the costs of pulling oil from shale. The issue is morons, moonbats, liberals, progressives and Democrats. (But I am repeating myself again) The producers need to know that the circumstances they are set up for aren’t going to change because someone told Dementia Joe to sign an Executive Order banning drilling or laying new pipelines.

It can take six months to drill and complete a new well and bring the oil and gas to market. Any call by the White House for an increase in U.S. production is likely to fall on deaf ears, according to one oil executive, who did not want to be identified criticizing the approach. The industry has also been unhappy with some of Biden’s earlier actions, including a temporary drilling halt on federal lands, that they see as an attack on the industry.

By pursuing policies that restrict supply and make it harder to produce oil and natural gas here in America, Americans will have to pay more for their energy,” said Anne Bradbury, chief executive officer at the American Exploration and Production Council, which lobbies for independent oil-and-gas producers.

President Joe Biden’s administration has been conducting internal discussions about rising fuel costs, one of the two sources added.

Typical. All talk, no action. I know! Let’s put up a couple more windmills! That will solve the problem!

The White House has been trying to tackle supply bottlenecks that have boosted the price of various goods, from meat to semiconductors.

I have a simple solution. First Kamala Harris resigns, Biden appoints Donald Trump as his new VP, and then, once he is confirmed and sworn in, Dementia Joe resigns and goes back to Delaware, never to be heard from again. Vice President Trump is then sworn in, fires all the moonbats and idiots that Bumbles Dementia and his handlers put in place, then gets to work fixing the problems.

Officials said Wednesday that the administration has been working with major ports in Los Angeles and Long Beach, along with shipping giants UPS and FedEx, to alleviate congestion slowing deliveries.

Again, easy fixes that will never happen. First, step on the idiots in Kalifornistan who are tying everything into knots with their taxes and regulations. Second, shut down all the welfare and tell the lazy bastards to get a job. Third, stop with all the Covid crap and fire Anthony Fauci and most of the management at the CDC. All the problems we’re having right now can be laid at the feet of the current maladministration. If there is a right way and a wrong way of doing something, they will, without fail, choose the wrong way. Now they are reaping what they have sewn and we are paying the price.
