The Federal Communications Commission was set up under the FDR administration to handle the allocation of the radio spectrum in order to avoid radio stations from “Stepping” on each other. They also handled licensing radio and later television stations, and monitoring them for the use of the 7 words you can’t say on television.
We can question the constitutionality of the FCC another time. This post is about yet another totalitarian that the meat puppet, Dementia Joe Biden, has nominated for commissioner. She wants to ban all conservative from the air, and if she has her way, cable as well. Here are the details from the Federalist:
President Joe Biden’s nominee for commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission hates Fox News and wants the federal agency to regulate conservative broadcasts because she disagrees with them.
So much for the 1st Amendment. The Maladministration nominated this totalitarian last October. However, her predilection towards censorship shot down her nomination. However, this is the Biden Administration, and for them, reinforcing failure is the only option. This is the statement drivel that came out of the White House when they originally nominated her.
“Gigi is one of the nation’s leading public advocates for open, affordable, and democratic communications networks,” the Biden administration claimed. “For over thirty years, Gigi has worked to defend and preserve the fundamental competition and innovation policies that have made broadband Internet access more ubiquitous, competitive, affordable, open, and protective of user privacy.”
Sohn’s inclination towards censorship and partisan regulation, however, torpedoed her chances of confirmation. Biden re-nominated Sohn at the beginning of the year but her chances of gaining Republican support are once again slim considering her history of criticizing and painting TV networks she disagrees with as threats to our democracy that need to be punished.
How progressive of her. She, like all Liberals, Progressives, Statists and Democrats, (Put I’m repeating myself), is absolutely intolerant of any ideas that do not toe the Progressive line. This cow, who looks like an older version of Rachael Madcow, has a particular hard on for Fox News.
In one 2019 tweet, Sohn hinted that Fox News should be scrutinized because they “have played their own role in destroying democracy.”
“I agree that scrutiny of big tech is essential, as is scrutiny of big telecom, cable & media. And trust me, the latter have played their own role in destroying democracy & electing autocrats. Like, say, Fox News?” she tweeted.
Oh brother. Here we have a classic case of Projection. She is projecting what she wants to do on others. The simple fact is, the modern Democrat party, henceforth known as the Communazi Party, is hell bent on ending both Democracy, the Republic and instituting a socialist single party state. Controlling the information stream is mandatory, and Fox News, even with their issues, will report the news and not cover it up the way the Communazi Propaganda Corps has been doing for decades.
One year later, after social media companies censored posts about Covid-19 and circulation of the Hunter Biden laptop story, Sohn once again asked: “So do you still want me to believe that social media is more dangerous to our democracy than Fox News?”
That would be a firm YES you SCoaMF. Big Tech is actively censoring people who provide information that the Progressive Ruling Elite doesn’t want the serfs and peons to hear. It might cause them to question their masters.
One month earlier, Sohn admitted that she had concerns with Facebook but said “I believe that Fox News has had the most negative impact on our democracy.”
This over-educated cow doesn’t seem to comprehend the fact that the United States is NOT a democracy. We are a Republic. There is a major difference. Of course, this moonbat is just spouting buzzwords that she doesn’t understand.
“It’s state-sponsored propaganda, with few if any opposing viewpoints,” Sohn complained. “Where’s the hearing about that?”
I believe she has missed the target. It’s the networks along with CNN and MSNBC that she likes that have been putting out the “State Sponsored,” or, to be more accurate, the Communazi propaganda, not Fox.
In addition to holding a grudge against Fox News, Sohn also repeatedly expressed doubts about whether Sinclair Broadcasting “is qualified to be a broadcast licensee at all.” In a 2018 tweet, Sohn took her complaints from rants on Twitter to demanding action from the FCC where she had previously served as a counselor to a former chairman.
I will state that I don’t know diddlysquat about Sinclair Broadcasting. I do agree we are seeing to many sources of information in to few hands, but what this Thundercunt has in mind is flat out suppression of any point of view she disagrees with. It’s highly unlikely she will succeed this time after being shot down for her views the last time. If she wants to badmouth conservative networks as a private citizen, she’s free to.
However, if she were to be put on the FCC and then used her position to suppress viewpoints she disagrees with, then she is nothing more than another Progressive Totalitarian thug who has nothing but contempt for the Constitution she will have sworn an oath to uphold. For this reason, her nomination needs to be pulled, and if President Dementia’s handlers wont’ do it, she needs to be shot down in flames…again.
