Good day all. Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 2 weeks, you’ve probably heard about the massive trucker protest up in Canada. Currently, they are in their second week of protesting in Ottawa, and Prime Idiot Minister Justin Trudeau is still in hiding.

When the protest started growing, the organizers opened a Go Fund me account to raise donations to pay for things like food, fuel and other ancillary things. The account quickly raised $11 million dollars. Go Fund me froze the account while they verified how the money was to be dispersed, then allowed about $1 million to be released.
Then the Canadian government started flinging around accusations and demanded that Go Fund me send the government all the funds. Shortly thereafter, the accounts were frozen again, and this is where Go Fund Me pulled a real bone headed maneuver. They announced that they would be sending the money to charities instead of refunding it.

Needless to say this set of a lot of people including a few state Governors and State Attorneys General. They flat out stated that taking the money for one purpose, (Funding the protest), then giving it to some other “cause” was fraud and that they would start investigating GFM. Things have been in flux for the last few days, so here are some details from Newsmax:
Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis said Saturday it was fraud for GoFundMe to “commandeer” $9 million in donations sent to support protesting truck drivers in Canada and he will investigate what he called “deceptive practices” by the website.
Usually when GFM or other Big Tech sites pull something like this, it takes a civil suit to get some sort of action taken. The suits usually have to be filed by the donors, and GFM will wave their TOS, (Terms of Service), and say “Arbitration!” which will usually end in their favor. What Governor DeSantis and others are saying is that this will be a criminal investigation.
GoFundMe took down the so-called Freedom Convoy’s page Friday, saying it violated its terms of service. It said donors had two weeks to request a refund, then remaining funds would be disbursed to “credible and established charities.”
Go Fund Me, or GFM, is run in the usual manner of Big Tech. Support of the Communazi thugs and punishing anyone who doesn’t toe the leftist line. They have a history of questionable take downs of conservative or populist fund raising pages while ignoring the flat out violent groups such as Antifa. This time, they ran into a Floridian buzzsaw.
DeSantis, a Republican, said on Twitter it was fraud for GoFundMe to give the money “to causes of their own choosing,” and he would work with Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody to investigate. “These donors should be given a refund.”
GFM quickly backed down and is now saying they will refund all the donations that haven’t been disbursed yet. Here are some of those details from Fox Business News:
Facing a potential fraud investigation by the state of Florida, GoFundMe reversed a decision to redistribute money given by thousands of donors to the Canadian “Freedom Convoy” protesting COVID-19 regulations.

On Friday, the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe froze the convoy’s official campaign, claiming law enforcement convinced the company that the convoy had become violent and unlawful.
Which was a flat out lie as anyone who was there saw. There were a few troublemakers, there always are. However, the protesters handled those loser personally and either chased them off or handed them over to proper authorities. The accusations actually came from the Ottawa Chief of Police and the Trudeau Regime with no actual evidence. That was all it took for the Communazis running GFM to pull the plug.
GoFundMe encouraged donors to submit a refund form, and said that any funds not properly returned to donors would be donated to a charity chosen by the Freedom Convoy.
It was the second part that set off Governor DeSantis and, I believe, the Ohio State Attorney General.
Within hours, however, GoFundMe walked back the refund applications, instead announcing it would be refunding donors automatically.
Technically, it’s not that difficult to send the funds back. It’s all done either through credit cards, bank transfers or Paypal and easily tracked. Excluding the questionable reasons for closing down the program, this is what should have been done. Instead, the Management of GFM decided that the laws don’t apply to them and would send any money to whatever left wing groups they thought should have the money, such as Antifa.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said that he would “investigate” the company, accusing them of fraud.
“GoFundMe supports peaceful protests and we believe that was the intention of the Freedom Convoy 2022 fundraiser when it was first created. We now have evidence from law enforcement that the previously peaceful demonstration has become an occupation, with police reports of violence and other unlawful activity,” GoFundMe announced. There has been little to no reports of documented violence at the protest.
It wasn’t just Florida and Ohio that announced they were going to investigate GFM. They also made the mistake of Messing with Texas.
GoFundMe also drew the ire of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who stated on social media that he would be launching a fraud investigation.
“Patriotic Texans donated to Canadian truckers’ worthy cause using GoFundMe. This BLM-backing company went woke, froze the funds, & failed to deliver Texans’ money,” Paxton said. “Today I assembled a team to investigate their potential fraud & deception. Texas donors will get Justice!”
One of the things that’s also been going on has been a lot of donors who used credit cards calling their card companies and initiating a fraudulent charge claim against Go Fund Me. I’ve been given to understand that the numbers of these claims is reaching into the thousands, and that GFM has to pay something like $25 per claim for the investigation. (Take this with some salt please. I have no first hand information on this)
Another thing that’s really hitting home for GFM is the push back from donors and others on Soviet Social Media. Twitler blew up with negative comments of GFM.
GoFundMe faced immediate backlash for the announcement with tens of thousands of comments on their social media posts about the cancellation. Critics of the company’s haphazard cancellation include Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who questioned whether there is a “double-standard,” given past fundraisers for legal funds in defense of antifa members and criminal protesters.
Well of course there’s a double standard! If they didn’t have a double standard, they would have no standard’s at all. This is starting to really bit GFM in the posterior. Far to many of these donation sites have been running roughshod over centrist and conservative fundraising initiatives. This has led to more conservative sites coming on line, and one such group is Give Send Go. They have opened a page for the Canadian Truckers Freedom Convoy 2022.
Give Send Go is currently experiencing a DDOS attack from the Communazi scum who want to shut down any group providing support to freedom loving peoples, Canadian, American or European. Be patient, the site will come up, and other conservative sites such as Rumble are offering technical support of Give Send Go. I’ve also read that since the sight went live on Give Send Go, they’ve actually been raising funds at a far higher rate then they did on GFM. I have a suspicion that as more conservative groups get slammed by Big Tech, sights like Rumble and Give Send Go are going to see exponential growth at the expense of the Big Tech sites like Go Fund Me. It’s about time that some of these Big Tech bozos feel real pain, right in the bottom line.

Regardless what GFM does, they should be investigated. GFM has no problem supporting BLM…now with a missing 60+ million dollars.
But will shutdown what is an actual peaceful protest based on easily refuted allegations.
