Good day all. With the decision by the Supreme Court to uphold the 2nd Amendment, the Moonbat class has been barking madly. One of the loudest has been New York’s unelected Govno, Kathy Hochul.
The case that was just decided by the Supreme Court came out of New York and their laws that basically rendered people defenseless against criminals. New York was one of the “May issue” states. May Issue when it comes to firearms basically means that you have to have the permission of the state to exercise your 2nd Amendment rights to keep and bear arms. New York has been notorious for flat out denying the average person any means to protect themselves from the vermin that have been preying on them.
The Supreme Court basically said “Uh Uh! Not so fast their Skippy” and ruled that denying people their rights violated both the 2nd Amendment and the 14th Amendment. This has driven the left stark raving mad, and Govno Hochel has gone completely around the bend. She recently said that if people by guns to protect themselves, it makes other feel “unsafe.” Here are the details from Newsmax:
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said Friday that people bearing arms for self-protection make “everyone else feel very unsafe.” Her comments, made during an interview on “CBS Mornings” came after the Supreme Court decision striking down a New York law that had set restrictions on those looking to carry guns in public.

She was asked about law-abiding citizens who want to carry a gun to feel safer.
“I say that makes everyone else feel very unsafe,” the Democrat said. “We don’t know if you’re provoked, you know, you’re in a bar and someone looks at your girlfriend or your boyfriend the wrong way. There are so many triggers. If someone wants to have a legal gun, licensed protection in their home, that is their domain, they can do that, we’ve always allowed that, or for hunting and other purposes.
“But to think someone would be able to do this on a subway, in a crowded, tense situation during rush hour? No, we have a right to protect our citizens, not take away your right to own, that’s fine, but where you take it and the ability to conceal it, that’s just going to make things so much more complicated for law enforcement and others.”

The stupidity of this remark is breath taking. I actually think my intelligence level has dropped to Joe Biden levels. Hopefully, it will quickly return once I tear this idiot a new one. To begin with, Hochul is parroting the standard Progressive Liberal Democratic Communazi talking points of “The streets will run red with blood if anyone but the elites are armed!” In fact, you are probably more at risk from the police if they have to use their guns then you are from an armed citizen.
Police in general do not practice that often with their firearms. They might fire 200-300 rounds a year, usually before they go for their annual qualifications. The average gun owner will fire 200-300 rounds with every trip to the range, and are generally far better shots then the police.
There is also statistical evidence that in lawful shootings, the armed citizen rarely fires more than 2-3 rounds, and those bullets hit what they are aiming at. Police have a bad habit of doing “Mag dumps,” where they fire every round in their guns, usually in panic mode. They also have a habit of missing their targets and hitting bystanders.
Hochul had blasted the court’s decision on Thursday tweeting: “It is outrageous that at a moment of national reckoning on gun violence, the Supreme Court has recklessly struck down a New York law that limits those who can carry concealed weapons.”
To bad about that pesky Constitution, huh? The problem we’re experiencing is not the average citizen, it’s criminals. They don’t pay any attention to the laws. That’s why they’re criminals.
She added in another tweet: “In response to this ruling, we are closely reviewing our options — including calling a special session of the legislature. Just as we swiftly passed nation-leading gun reform legislation, I will continue to do everything in my power to keep New Yorkers safe from gun violence.”
Your idea of “Reform” is nothing more then a gun grab. The fact is, you and the legislature are directly responsible for the crime waves currently underway in your major cities. Instead of locking up criminals, you just let them go and do nothing to keep them from attacking the people you claim you care about.
I have little doubt you and your crew of totalitarian scum are going to come up with something else that takes away the rights of the people to protect themselves. Perhaps someone might mention to Govno Hochul and the other tyrannical governors, and that senile President*, that the Supreme Court has also ruled that police are under no obligation to protect the average person from crime.
Obviously, I have no idea what she and the other moonbats in the New York Legislature are going to cook up, but they might want to consider that they might end up as personally liable. Basically, if they deny someone their rights, and that person suffers from it, they will be personally liable and have no “Soverign immunity” protections. It’s happen before. Perhaps a few politicians losing in court and being bankrupted might make others think. Naa, Progressive are not capable of thinking.
