Good day all. Thanks to both the Soros D.A’s. And the policies of the Blue State legislatures, crime in states like Kalifornistan and New York is out of control. One of the issues is when a criminal is arrested for a major crime, they are being released on their own recognizance with the anticipation that they will show up in court.
Not surprisingly, instead of showing up to stand trial and then spend years, or decades in prison, they are taking the opportunity to run and hide. This happened recently with a pair of drug smugglers in Kalifornistan. Here are the details from Fox News:
Two accused drug traffickers busted with 150,000 fentanyl pills during a California traffic stop last month failed to show in court Thursday after being released on cashless bail. Defendants Jose Zendejas, 25, and Benito Madrigal, 19 — released on their own recognizance less than 24 hours after their arrests with the large stash of illicit drugs — were scheduled to appear for their arraignments at the Tulare County Courthouse in central California on Thursday morning, but both men failed to show.
The judge called for Zendejas and Madrigal — both from Washington state — who were not in court, and the warrant for their arrest continues. The judge withdrew the prior $2 million bond and directed each be held without bond if they pop up.
Oh they won’t show up again. I suspect they’re in Mexico and won’t be coming back.
Before Thursday, Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said he did not expect the defendants to show up. He placed blame on the state’s soft-on-crime attitude and so-called criminal justice reform for a policy that allowed the two alleged drug traffickers to go free with nothing but a promise to come to court.
“I didn’t learn about the order until it was far too late,” Boudreaux previously told Fox News. “I couldn’t believe we had 150,00 fentanyl pills — one of the most dangerous epidemics facing our nation today — with people in custody that we may potentially be able to impact the future of this type of drug trafficking organization… and we let them go.”

The reason that the Sheriff didn’t know about their release is that, as usual, it was done on the sly and in the middle of the night.
“Although there is a need for a pre-trial release program, to do it covertly in the middle of the night in a very nontransparent matter is extremely dangerous,” Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward told Fox News on Thursday outside the courthouse, referring to the court’s initial decision to release the defendants. “What we discovered here was that it was occurring based on a decision without any foundation of the facts of the case. And I think going forward, I think everyone is realizing that’s a mistake and should not continue.”
With the exception of the Progressive Liberal Democratic Communazi Ruling Elites, no one thinks releasing criminals is a good idea. In fact, it’s a spectacularly bad idea. Of course, people like Govno Gruesome Newsom, now FORMER San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin and current, (and with luck, also soon to be former), Los Angeles Distract Attorney George Gascon, who were put in place by George Soros, will continue ignoring the damage these vermin are doing.
California Highway Patrol officers pulled over the suspects’ vehicle on June 24 at approximately 7:30 p.m. near Highway 99 and Tulare Avenue and requested assistance from the Tulare County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Unit (HIDTA), which found 150 packages, each package containing 1,000 fentanyl pills, inside. Two kilograms of cocaine were also found during the vehicle search.
Oh I’m sure these two scumbags tried the old “It’s for our personal use only officer” routine. Frankly, I’m surprised the DEA didn’t get involved. I’m sure they would love to find out where these two walking pieces of human debris got this stuff. And who was it that let them out?
Their bail was first set at $1 million based on the quantity of drugs seized, but the county probation department’s risk assessment submitted to the county superior court classified the men as “low risk,” and they both were subsequently released on their own recognizance, Visalia Times Delta reported.
And who was it that let them out? I as surprised to see that the local DA didn’t know about it either.
Neither the district attorney nor the sheriff said they were consulted on the release.

Now I want to know who the morons in the county probation office were that came to the conclusion that these two, who were looking at possibly decades in prison, weren’t a flight risk. Were they “Politically motivated” to release them on their own recognizance, or are their bank accounts filled with cash that they can’t explain?
Idiocy like this is why gun sales are going through the roof. It’s not going to take much more stupidity before people decide that they can no longer trust the government to do their basic jobs, and decide to take the law into their own hands. Criminals caught in the act might just be tried right there by the people who caught them. The sentence, if they’re very lucky, will be to hand them over to the police. More than likely though…
